Landon's POV
{Kelsey's Residence– 7:55 P.M.}
Kelsey was talking a lot again.
She was standing close, way too close. Her hair was a little messy from drying it, her lips moving fast as she tried to explain whatever the hell she thought she needed to explain. I wasn't really listening to her words.
I was staring at her mouth.
And thinking about how much I wanted to shut her up.
Not with a pillow.
With a kiss.
A long, deep, filthy kiss that would melt the fire right off her tongue.
I wanted to grab her by the waist, pin her against the wall, and do things that didn't belong in the daylight. Things that had her trembling, begging, saying my name... not that she even knew it, not the real one.
But instead, I just stood there.
I was just a mute man, who was contracted to help her. I understand my position in her life.
I couldn't say what I wanted to say, and neither could I do what I wanted to do.
Yeah, I'm talking about the kiss.
