Kelsey's POV
{Kelsey's Office – 2:35 P.M.}
It's been a few hours since I arrived at this boring office. It's been more busy than regular days since the employees were preparing for the anniversary that's happening in four days.
They all seemed excited because they claimed it's always 'fun'. I can assure them this one will be memorable.
"Kate," I said flatly, "You're in my seat. Again."
She didn't even flinch.
That's the thing about Kate... she had this irritatingly effortless way of pretending like she owned every space she entered. My house. My car. And unfortunately, today, that included my office.
"Oh, please," she said, glancing at me over her laptop screen like I was the one intruding. "Your chair is way more comfortable than mine. You need to share the wealth, darling."
