Synopsis
Sion wants to be a superhero. Simple dream. Stupid dream. Especially when your Gift is a monster that doesn’t listen. He’s strong—too strong. But without control, power just makes you dangerous. And heroes don’t get to be dangerous. So, to tame his Gift, Sion enrolls in the world’s most prestigious academy. Which, unfortunately, also happens to be the most ruthless. A lawless ground of death. Cutthroat trials. Broken students. Sadistic staff. This place doesn’t produce heroes. It builds killers. Tyrants. Demigods with trauma. But Sion isn’t like the others. He didn’t come to play their game. He came to change the board. And soon, it’s unclear: Is the academy breaking Sion… or is Sion breaking the academy?

Chapter 1 - Glossary... Power System...

Universal Energy Types

Across the vast multiverse, most humans are born with the ability to control two latent energies:

Ki – Life Force.

Mana – World Force.

These energies define two conventional classes:

1. Awakeners(Ki Users)

Ranks:

Ki Beginner

Ki User

Ki Adept

Ki Expert

Ki Master

Ki Grandmaster

Sovereign

.

.

.

2. Mages(Mana Users)

Ranks:

Mana Pupil / Trickster

Mana User / Magic Beginner

Mana Adept / Trick Expert

Mana Expert / Trick Lord

Mage / Mana Lord / Magician

Grand Mage / Magus / Expert Magician

Mana Sovereignor / Grand Magus / Grand Magician

However…

One world stands out.

A world that defies this system entirely.

The Gifted World(Our Setting)

In this world, humans are born with Gifts—supernatural abilities that ignore traditional Ki or Mana training.

The Gifted

- Gifted are born at random.

- There are no set rules for who gets a Gift—unless you're part of a bloodline.

- All Gifted are spirit-based superhumans from birth.

Gifts:

Gifts are themed bundles of supernatural abilities—centered around a specific concept or trait. The user's powers evolves around that theme.

Note: You must develop your Gift.

Each Gift grants you a foundation—its core trait—and from that, you derive:

Active Abilities: Powers you can activate (e.g., transformations, attacks, summons)

Passive Abilities: Enhancements that are always active (e.g., high durability, sensory boosts).

Example:

BurningWolf

Core: You inherit the bloodline of a mythical beast—half-wolf, half-human.

Active Abilities: Transformation, Bloodline Suppression

Passive Abilities: Enhanced physique, flame resistance, spiritual flame control

Ability-Duplication

Core: Copy powers from other Gifted

Passive: Sense the power level of other gifted

Note: Highly dependent on the user's intelligence and tactics. Not the same as Gift-Copy.

Shadow-Dweller

Core: A connection to the Shadow Realm

Active: Shadow movement, manipulation, exchange, summoning armies

Passive: Silent movement, shadow sense, shadow-type resistance

Of course, just like everything in the world, there are exceptions.

Exceptions: High-Tier Gifts.

Some rare and immensely powerful Gifts do unlock multiple abilities—active and passive—from the start. These set of gifted are called the Truly Gifted.

Things To Note About Gifts:

- All gifts provide substantial boosts to the Gifted physique. In other words, every Gifted is born a superhuman.

- Gifts are naturally stronger than each other, but there is no confirmed power system to tabulate their hierarchy as a Gifted strength is, most times, dependent on them.

- No Gifts are the same. Multiple gifts may posses similar effects and abilities, but they are all unique. Even abilities like Ability-Duplication are all unique. Example, Ability-Duplication can copy abilities but not the whole Gift like Gift-Copy, they also both have different restrictions.

- Each Gifts have their own names. They can sometimes be misleading though, for example, Ability-Duplication is stronger than Gift-Copy.

- Gifted can not access other power systems.

- Gifts are Spirit-based. They can be used unlimitedly as long as one spirit still lives. There is no such thing as physically getting tired(except in the case of backlash.)

- Powerful Gifts can trigger backlash—damaging:

The mind

The spirit

The body

Or in rare cases (like The Dominator), all three.

Fun fact: Holding back causes backlash. Gifts must be used freely. Suppressing them is dangerous.

In this world, if you hold back your power?Your Gift punishes you.
