The executives sat stiffly, stealing glances at the man at the head of the table, barely able to stay composed.
Derek said nothing as he flipped through the documents in his hand, his expression cold and unreadable.
As the seconds ticked by, he finally closed the file and tossed it forward.
A sharp slap echoed.
Everyone's hearts tightened.
"Reduced profits, declining performance, and a stolen project." Derek's gaze swept over them. He seemed to smile, but there was no warmth in his eyes. "This is your achievement for the month?"
Silence thickened, and cold sweat trickled down their backs.
When Derek was silent, his chilling aura was even more intimidating. He glanced at them, picked up another project file, and frowned. "How did FW Technology's project get taken? The price we offered should've been more than enough."
