I returned to the operating room where Leonard was being treated. Well, I was at the door, waiting desperately for any information, positive information about Leonard. So far, I had gotten nothing as none of the nurses or the doctor who had gone inside with him had stepped out. So far, two more doctors and two more nurses had joined the others inside.
No one was saying anything to me, and I was beginning to get really scared. I still didn't know who the men that attacked us were, or who had sent them. Although I had sent in some doctors to have the few survivors treated along with my men who were hit, I couldn't care about them at the moment.
Maybe I should go check on the kids, or maybe I should just remain here, I contemplated within me.
Deciding on the former, I turned to go but the screeching sound made by the door as it
was pulled open from the inside forced me to turn around quickly. It was Dr Cole, with a blank expression about him.
