✿ CHAPTER 36 ✿
"Boss, I'm going in"
I slowly stepped away from the door as I watched Theo walk in, closing the door behind him.
I ran a hand through my hair as I sighed.
"I'll take my leave now," Mr. Johnson said as he was about to walk away.
"Yes, yes-"
"Ah!!" we both halted in our steps as we heard Theo scream from inside my room.
I was anxious all of a sudden...
"I, uhm-"
"I think there's something wrong with Theo in there" Mr. Johnson turned around and frowned while pointing towards my room door.
"He, he's fine" I smiled awkwardly.
"Is there something going on?"
"No....how can something be happening in my office?" I laughed nervously.
"You should probably check on Theo"
"Theo!, is everything fine in there?" I asked from outside the door.
"Yes, everything is fine sir"
"See? I told you he's fine"
"Ok then..." I watched as he finally walked out of my office.
I sighed in relief
I opened my room door to see Amelia covering Theo's mouth with her hand.
"Don't you dare make a sound" she whispered to Theo who had his eyes wide open and his hands in the air as he surrendered.
"Got it?"
Theo nodded vigorously.
"He's gone," I said as I tucked my hands in my pockets.
Amelia immediately let go of Theo as he ran towards me.
"Boss!, I swear to God!, I don't know how she got in here!" Theo said, panicking
"Theo-"
"I, I just walked in and, and I just saw her behind the door!.... boss, I don't know how she-"
"I brought her in," I said, cutting him off.
Theo stopped talking as his jaw dropped.
"Boss, you...she...you" his eye darting between me and Amelia.
"You called me a child earlier" I glared at him.
"Pfft," Amelia held back a laugh as she lowered her head.
"I'm sorry boss"
"Do you have any idea what this CHILD could do to you if you go talking around?" I asked Theo as he lowered his gaze.
"I know you wouldn't do anything stupid right?"
"I promise not to tell anyone that you forbade me from walking into your room and when I did, I found Miss Amelia behind the door...and when I tried to scream she kicked me in the balls and pushed me against the wall as she covered my mouth with her hand preventing me from screaming again !"
I was stunned
"So if someone asks you, this is what you'll tell them!"
"But sir, I don't tell lies...that was exactly what happened"
"Just...you know what, it's fine...you can leave now"
"I can leave now?"
"Yes, leave...I'm having a migraine because of you !"
"Yes sir" Theo walked out of the room...he took a few steps before turning back again.
"Uhm sir, if I can't tell anyone, can I at least tell Mr. Johnson?"
"Theo!!, have you lost your mind? !" I raised my voice at him.
"I'm sorry sir!" he hurriedly scurried away from my office...
Amelia chuckled
"Your assistant is so cute!"
"What's so cute about him anyways," I said as I walked towards my closet.
"Yeah right, I just hope My Dad doesn't find out I was in here" Amelia sighed.
"Oh, I told him already" I grinned to myself as I took out a new pants from my closet.
"You did what!!"
"You're the one who brought me in here anyway!!" she glared at me.
"What do we do now? I can't possibly take back what I said" I smirked.
"You-" she clenched her fists
"I won't talk to you anymore," she said as she angrily stormed out of the room.
"Amelia wait, please-"
"Don't talk to me"
"I didn't mean to tell your dad the truth," I chuckled as I watched her petite figure storm out of my office.
