Glen handed Etien the water bottle he had been carrying after they'd walked quite a distance from their original hiding spot. Walking had been a deliberate choice, they figured riding horses would be inefficient and would only slow them down, especially in a forest this dense.
"That's your water, Your Majesty."
"Drink. I haven't heard a single water source within several kilometers. You need to keep up your stamina."
Etien was once again stunned by Glen's impeccable hearing. It almost felt like he was showing off, just in a different way. But if Glen really was right, then wasting their water now would be reckless. So, Etien decided not to drink, sealing the bottle back up before handing it right back to Glen.
"In that case, we should conserve it."
"If you get thirsty later, we can find plants with a decent water reserve." Glen said with his little smile.
