Darkness.
They are assassins, shadow figures, part of the Terrestrial Overlords Sect and ordered by their senior Si Tai.
They inhabit the shadows, completely assimilating with it, their whole being become shadowy. And in doing so, it means they are isolated from the world and cans peak without detection.
"Our target just entered, it's just as senior Si told us..."
"He's a tricky individual, don't move yet. He could escape senior without much injury, stay undetected and wait."
"Hmmph!"

Hamar gently walked through the air and into the shadow trench. As he took one step into the world fell into darkness, the surrounding faded into that same monochrome black.
He didn't become alarmed and kept himself calm, he continued to descend through the deep abyss. After a few moments the darkness spread out and his he could distinguish forms.
His vision was still entirely black but somehow the forms were separate and he could detect what there was in front of him.
Landing on the ground he felt his neck tickle, the death dragon constricted and whispered, "Your bad luck is fluctuating and a vague few death laws are forming, get to Night Sky as soon as you can"
Hamar heard this, "Followed still..." He decided on a plan, to not hide what he knew. If he hid that he knew he was being followed, they might decide to take him out; instead he would brazenly show his knowledge.
He looked into the deep abyss beside him and stared into it, "Don't." With that one word, he sent out a blast of aura, intending to shake the laws around any potential followers.
***
"Hold steady! He can't see us! There's no way he could detect us, it's just luck that he got the direction right!" One of those shadow followers was shouting at the others.
Especially towards one follower in particular, the one that as he was watching Hamar, saw him stop and stare into his eyes crazily, whispering a single word, "Don't."
He was shaking and sweating, not only from the supposed finding of him but Hamar's aura suppression had shook his entire body, soul and consciousness.
Due to the technique to turn into shadows and inhibit them, each part of his body had been turned into shadow laws.
His physical body, his soul where he kept laws, his consciousness where thoughts and mental energy originated. All shook at the introduction of aura.
***
Hamar turned his head and walked forward, internally he was getting worried. He had little aura left after flying so far and that warning blast of aura had taken the rest.
Now he was left with a minuscule of aura, in a fight he would have to rely entirely on his enhanced body. He had enough to block one attack at most, but doing so would entirely drain his reserves and cause his foundation to weaken.
He looked forward and took out a token from his robe, clicking in a button in its middle, "Pick me up, being followed, danger high" he injected a few quick meaning as he was walking.
This was the token he had to contact Night Sky when he needed to. He walked forward still, pretending to know where he's going and be at full strength.
***
"He knows we're here! We should get him now, don't give him time to escape or find help!"
The leader shadow bit his lip, this was tricky. They didn't know if he was at full power and what his full even was.
From the intelligence they were given, he was around second or third hardening but he could be more, and that's not to say what laws or techniques he actually has.
This was the problem, with Hamar's abilities nobody could detect any laws on him. This was because he used aura and would connect to Hou's body for laws so they couldn't be detected.
This only made him seam much stronger than he is, able to 'hide his laws' in the yes of his enemies. "We'll probe! Get into formation and go for the shadow cell, moving into full body pierce!"
The rest of the shadow followers nodded and they moved closer to Hamar, surrounding him in a circle.
***
"I can try tapping into Hou's laws but I know only a few techniques so it'll give away many weaknesses. I can only use the laws roughly, using brute force to overcome technique."
As Hamar was thinking to himself, waiting for Night Sky to send reinforcements, his neck instructed. He was almost strangled as the death dragon choked him.
At the same time. His own intuition warned him, something extremely dangerous was on its way. He didn't have time to think, he used his magical connection to Hou's laws and pulled out random laws.
He didn't have time to choose what they were, he took them out and let them out into the world in whatever manner they happen to be.
Normally, a cultivator would change their impression of a law based on their comprehension of it in order to make sure however it is expressed it would help them.
In this case however, Hamar used them without caring so whatever his impression was on default would affect how the laws were expressed.
A large burst of light shot out surrounding Hamar, it pushed back the shadow trench and gave colour to the surroundings.
Hamar's eyes flashed, "Sun!" He continued pulling at those lakes and used mental energy to control them, causing them to spin in a sphere around him.
Something happened in the darkness beside him and it turned solid and various bars shot out, piercing his sunlight and trapping him in a specific way.
His limbs were locked and he tried to break the bars of darkness but without much aura. His strength was insufficient.
His eyes flickered as he ordered mental energy to prick the death dragon, it was time to try out the moves.
Hamar's eyes gleamed and his smile grew. This was dangerous but not out of his expectations. He had a plan.
"Burst!" Hamar ordered the dragon.
It spun in a circle, flying through the air and releasing a technique. A burst of dark energy migrated through the air and hit each shadow member.
They felt nothing dangerous and shrugged of the attack, continuing with their battle formation.
They moved to the full body piercing move. But as they did, each one of them did one mistake. Perhaps a foot out of place, moving to the wrong side, slip shadow spear out of hand, look away a moment.
All sorts of dangerous coincidences occurred and each piercing attack missed Hamar. A few grazed him but he was safe.
And as they did the attack, their bodies solidified to escape the suppression of the still-releasing sun laws.
If they stayed shadow forms, the sun laws would easily eradicate them. As they missed. Each one fell into the radius of the sun laws.
Hamar's eyes flashed and he pulled into his last aura reserves, he put his hands together. He closed this eyes and imagined that move he had created.
He visualised the wolf, imagined it's form. He created that essence and used that comprehension to bring force a phantom wolf.
In doing so, he escaped the slowly disintegrating shadow bars which held him and jumped towards some of the assailants.
"Die!"
