The assailants were elites, they were all only second or third hardening but that was enough. They were trained from young and had the skills yet they somehow made such a mistake.
A hardening was an increase in power, speed, and storage of your spirit stone souls die to breaking it and reforming larger, though that would harden it at the same time.
These were all strong individuals, though Hamar was launching towards them with killing intent all but the newbie stayed calm.
Hamar had launched towards that newbies he had accidentally scared earlier, jumping towards him with a phantom wolf backing him.
The other members looked at each other and nodded, in a millisecond they set up a formation which forcibly activated the shadow transformation of the newbie.
As Hamar lashed forward, the kid turned into a shadow and sunk into the floor, dodging Hamar narrowly.
He changed target and turned to one of the men in the formation, slashing forward with primal release of aura.
The man released himself from the formation and moved many laws around him, sticking them together into a move.
His technique caused Hamar's feet to stick into the shadows on the floor, each step took longer. Hamar growled, his aura was running out!
Hamar decided aura wouldn't be the bough and pulled out more laws, shooting a stream of sun laws into that assailant, rather than the dome of sunlight he made previously.
The sunlight hit the man but his technique stayed active as he twisted his wrist and another technique activated.
The sunlight was blocked by a dark shield as the man was shot forward. He coughed blood then pushed forward and the dark shield protecting him turned into the symbol of Yin and Yang.
As it did the stream of golden light shifted and temporarily turned into darkness, "Quick, refine and switch it!"
The other members got into action and knelt down, shooting out streams of unified mental energy through their fingers and at the stream of shadow energy.
While it was Hou's laws, Hamar had lesser control. Then add to that, that the laws are something Hamar did not comprehend well, it was obvious what would happen.
The shadow assailants quickly used their comprehension of shadow laws to refine the laws as their own, "Reverse, attack!"
They shouted din unison as they all coughed blood while turning the trajectory of the shadow beam back to Hamar.
This all happened in such a short time that the aura-deprived Hamar had no time to even think of stopping it.
He bit his lip and he tried to think of anything, the death dragon flying around him too became anxious.
The death dragon shot in front of Hamar and as the beam was to hit him, the dragon used his death laws and resonated them to his best to protect Hamar.
Quickly his body shrank and the laws within him became weak, his body shrivelled yet he stayed protecting.
At that time, it seemed like it was all over for Hamar. That was until....
Crash!
A huge figure jumped into the street and burst through all the techniques active. The sun dome shattered, the shadow beam deflected, any hiding was seen through.
It looked hard towards each of the enemies, then it stomped and light blue butterflies shot forward. They gently fluttered by but as they did they consumed the enemies and before they could comprehend what had happened, they had died.
Even the newbie who had time to become a shadow again, his body was destroyed before he could think of defending himself.
The death dragon shot back and fell I to Hamar's arms, it's being was weak and without death laws it would soon die.
Luckily, the figure which came to him and just killed those members. Hamar pulled out the spirit stone which had resonated with death laws and he used his remaining mental energy to gather the death which had formed, pulling it into the stone.
Once it seemed fairly done, he placed the stone in the middle of the injured death dragon and looked on hopefully.
He looked up, "Who are you?" He looked at suspicion to the giant figure.
They had a huge figure but all of their features were indistinct due to the shadow trench they were in. It didn't talk but held out it's hand, in the middle of which was a Night Sky token.
Hamar seemed enlightened and stood up, "I would like to ask for more assistance, I need a safe place to rest! And then I need to ask .pre things of Night Sky, I'll offer more knowledge!"
The giant seemed to nod and shake its hand. Hamar didn't understand at first but then he realised and nodded, "Thank you"
He stepped onto he giants hand and sat down while closing his eyes. He breathed deeply and forgot his worries, he needed to recover quick as possible.
Each breath claimed his body and then he tapped i to his meditation method. He moved past this world, past the world of laws and I to another realm.
This realm was one unknown by the populace of the world, the mana realm. And in the realm, he absorbed the magical source called "mana".
Then by absorbing theirs mana into his knightly body, it would transform. Before it would simply have become more physical and tied to the world but now it also changed colour.
After his breakthrough his blue aura had turned purple, once the mana was refined it shrunk and turned purple.
As Hamar meditated, he realised that now his purple aura would help him absorb more mana quicker.

At Night Sky checkpoints around shadow trench,
"Is he worth using the Blue Alliance Giant?"
"How can his information be worth so much? What does he offer to us?"
"He seems so weak!"
"Silence. He is a VIP by my order, keep that in mind. I do believe he will be able to usher in a new stage in our strength. He's from Nine Clouds Sovereign Sect and his master is Nine Clouds Purple Miasma, it's good to save him for just that reason alone."
No one else gave objections as that person continued, "I believe I've sent you all a sample of that material, the Law Rejecting Stone. This is the future of our power, think!"
She recounted what had happened, "This boy had gotten into trouble with Si Tai because of us and yet with his second hardening strength could continue to move, and still have that much strength!"
