The MTF approached silently and split, some going to the rubble, the others making their way to the generator set up. They were set in motion the moment the agents got too close. The Guards at the small site had been set in position in advance, so they were waiting for the shots that would signal their inaction into action. The agents were mere moments away from piercing the final layer of rubble, but they failed as the bullets flew next to them. They instantly jumped out of the pit they were in and crawled to cover behind anything. The other agents, hearing the shots, turned around but were met with bullets from another angle, forcing them to compromise and find cover wherever they could. The MTF agents went unseen; only their bullets were visible in the dark sky. The ones that initially fired had sneaked their way onto the rubble pile and hid inside the pile, waiting. The workers in charge of sealing up the door were on their way; they had covered their faces and put on vests.
The workers were not far out, as they had prepared the materials beforehand, and they were sitting in wait for 1 minute. The shots were continuous, but most came from the agents pinned down from multiple sides, as they fired into the dark, trying to hit the unseen attackers. The MTF was trying to use the least possible amount of bullets as they only had a limited supply, and the foundation had no way to make more yet; they couldn't buy any either since the purchase could be tracked.
Some agents had taken cover behind the rubble opposite the shots and were unaware of the danger just next to them. They were ambushed by the MTF hidden in the rubble. The other agents, unaware that their backside was exposed, were shot from the back, and many died as they MTF rarely missed. The sealers had arrived, and they made their way to the door as the MTF slowly pushed the agents back. They started welding as soon as they could, daring not to look away. The Guards in position had been given some of the snipers that the MTF came with, and started sniping those they could.
[With the agents]
Those who were still alive were running as fast as they could into the trees and city, praying they weren't hit by the snipers or anything. The agents were now down to fewer than 5. There were thirty, but the first ambush killed some, and then the next one killed most of them. The ones that ran into the forest were hit by snipers far away and had to limp their way out if they could or accept their deaths at their attackers' hands. They had called in reinforcements, but they would take a while seeing as they had to ready the equipment. The police Department had been armed ever since the first attack, so they should arrive sooner, but knowing their cowardice, they would not dare approach fast, taking any detour they could to survive. The agents were aware of all that, so they had to grit their teeth and escape on their own.
The MTF had never intended to chase after them; their goal was to make the area safe so the welding could happen.
[With Ant]
I had been pacing the room for some time now. The only news I received was from the guards, as they had a good vantage point. They had told me everything was going according to plan and that phase 3 was now commencing. Phase 3 was mainly just waiting until the welding was done and they left the area as fast as they could, trying to avoid encountering the reinforcements that would arrive.
I had named the operation something I think sounded pretty cool, but it also had meaning. The twin part meant 2, and distortion meant falsification. In this case, I am pretty proud of my effort in this. It took great thinking power, which I'm surprised I had. The meaning was in the name; it was a double fake, as we never intended to keep 087. I just needed the rewards. I don't know if anything will happen if we lost a scp, but if something does happen, I hope it's not bad for me, since I can't contain 087 as of now, since it's a location that is very public.
I don't have anything to do right now; my contribution was mostly planning and naming. I was confined in the site waiting for the rewards.
[With 087]
The Workers had finished welding and were headed out, followed by the MTF. They moved fast and didn't hesitate in the slightest as they passed the corpses.
They were out in less than 30 seconds, and the reinforcements arrived 2 minutes after they left. They didn't advance for a while until they made sure there was no one present. When they were sure, they moved in and zipped up bodies. The ambulances arrived quick but nobody could be saved as they had been bleeding for too long and many of the shots were critical.
The agents quickly reassembled the scene and easily found the ones involved, which were the same group that attacked earlier that week. This time, they didn't skimp on anything and made the scene a higher priority, and they also continued the clearing of the rubble as they saw 2 people sealing the door shut, which meant it was important.
[With Ant]
[SCP-087 had been successfully contained]
As soon as I saw the prompt, I redeemed my rewards.
[Calculating rewards...
Public impact: 3/10
Secretivity: 0/10
GOI notice: 10/10]
(P.S GOI = Group of interest Ex: SHIELD, HYDRA, SORCERERS, GODS Etc...)
[Congratulations, you have received 3 reality stabilizers]
(Note: Will possibly not work on benders higher than level 3 unless stacked.)
[Congratulations, you have received a large site at xxxxxxxxxxxx]
[Congratulations, you have received a Class D farm]
(Note: Class D SCP can now appear randomly.)
Now these were rewards that are really worth salivating over. The fact that Class D could now be used made things a lot easier on my part; now I could send them out with the MTF to lure the SCPs in. I am not particularly a sympathizer with death row inmates anyway, and the loss ratio meant nothing if the entire world could end because we failed the many rituals to contain specific SCPs. SCP Class D isn't exactly something I'm happy about. If 'lucky' were to appear, it would be good since he would be like a last resort.
The large site seems to be located on the border between Canada and New York, so it's not that far, but as it is the site that will be housing the most dangerous scps, I reckon there will be trouble driving those 3 hrs. to reach it from all the way in NYC. As for the reality stabilizers, now that was the jackpot. Sure, it might not work on those really powerful reality benders, but if they were stacked, it could weaken them a whole lot and make containing them easier.
[Warning!!! A GOI is attempting to breach an SCP.]
Well, looks like they started removing the welding already. Nothing is there but death. I wish them luck.
[If the SCP is successfully breached, the foundation will lose the location, and it will be transferred to that GOI.]
How brutal, it doesn't tell me what SCP, it won't tell me who is trying to breach it, and it won't tell me where it goes. This system is really not nice in the slightest. If I lose an SCP that isn't normally active, then it will stay lost until it activates.
This system is not a dumb system; it actually makes me work for my rewards. Why must I actually put in effort? If I could cry, I would, but I'm high off the rewards I got. Next thing I know, it will actually pull in the foundation's natural enemies.
[Time passes]
Tony was saved from the Middle East, and the incident that happened at the school again was covered up, yet some people still managed to record the incident. and post it online. Some of the guards from the small site were transferred to the large site temporarily until more appeared. The Class D cells in the large site would have been slowly filling up with death row inmates, if not for the events that would take place
The events of Iron Man 1 finished during the time in which the agencies kept investigating and finding nothing.
