"Killiannn..." Raine whined, dramatically throwing herself into her roommate's open arms, her body going limp as if the weight of the day had finally crushed her.
Killian barely caught her, not staggering even slightly under her weight.
She let out an exasperated sigh, arms stiff at her sides. "What am I supposed to do?"
Raine buried her face into Killian's shoulder, mumbling, "No one forced you, Rowan. Why did you do that to yourself? What were you thinking?"
"I honestly don't know what came over me," Raine muttered, pulling back slightly, her brows furrowed in worry, hands fidgeting at the hem of her shirt. "I thought I would avoid the Alphas but... I'm here. Stuck with the three of them."
Killian rolled her eyes and crossed her arms tightly. "You did yourself," he said coldly, shifting his shoulder to dislodge Raine. "You're old enough to take responsibility for your actions—so get off me."
