As the two walked side by side, with occasional glances directed their way, Adam took a sidelong look at the shy Saki beside him.

He would be lying if he said he hadn't expected her visit, but thanks to all the chaos caused by the fallen angel, his plan to invite her over for tea and a chat had been ruined…

The dark circles under her eyes were noticeable, making him realize she had probably been too anxious about it to sleep… 'How cute.'

So, with his house still in disarray, he decided it would be better to walk her to school.

'Kuoh Academy.' That was the name of Saki's school. He hadn't noticed it before, but now he remembered that this was the same school Issei attended. Saki must be a third-year student.

It was a bit strange how things seemed to conspire to involve him, but considering all the oddities of this world, it wasn't something too concerning. Besides, he didn't actively want to get involved with the demons, so as long as he kept his distance, he wouldn't have to worry about getting caught in the crossfire of the plot.

"Hey, Saki."

Saki, having her first name called so casually, gave a small, trembling smile, her eyes turning to Adam only for a blush to spread across her cheeks. "Yes?"

"What do you usually do on weekends?"

"..."

She froze. How could she say that she, a girl, spent her entire weekend in her room playing romance games and reading manga? He'd think she was weird!

No, she needed to come up with something, and fast!

"I… I like going out to some parties."

"...Really?"

What kind of look was that? Why did it seem like he saw through her lie so easily?

Adam sighed, and Saki's nervousness grew because of it.

"Saki, we're friends now, right? You can be open with me, I won't make fun of you."

Her nervousness softened at that, her eyes lowering as she nodded to his words. Yes, they were friends. There shouldn't be any distrust between them…

She felt she could be honest with him, but still… It was a bit embarrassing to reveal this to him. A girl acting like this wasn't normal, even Saki knew that.

But… Seeing him give her a comforting smile and look at her with those celestial eyes, she felt comfortable enough to talk to him…

She had told herself she wanted to change, so, at the very least, she should be able to do this!

"I… Actually, I like playing video games on weekends."

Adam didn't seem surprised by this, nodding. "That's a great hobby, actually."

He watched her nod shyly, but thinking of something, he continued.

"Since that's the case, how about we go to an arcade together this weekend?"

Saki was caught off guard by the question, her eyes lighting up as she processed his words.

"Is that a problem?"

"N-No! I'd love to." And responding a bit too quickly, she averted her gaze with a silly smile.

There was no way this was just in her head. He, a handsome and friendly guy, was asking her out on a date!

This was every girl's dream, and here she was, living that dream!

…But, did she deserve this? She wasn't pretty, and she had isolated herself from everyone who tried to get close to her… Should someone as despicable as her be noticed by someone as handsome and kind as Adam?

She… She didn't think so.

"Great, I'll pick you up this Saturday, alright?"

Saki blinked. "Pick me up? W-Wait, my parents will be home!"

Adam looked at her with a bit of confusion. "Well, yes. I'd like to talk to them, if that's okay with you."

Quick! Things were moving too fast!

"O-Okay, that's fine."

Adam smiled, and with a satisfied nod, he turned his attention back to the path, leaving a dazed Saki trying to process how quickly things were happening.

"Ouch!"

But while the two seemed to have their own thoughts about the weekend, they were surprised when someone tripped in front of them.

Something that would have been ordinary, except for one thing.

"Why did I fall? Ouch…"

With the girl's dress hiked up on her back, her butt covered by cute white panties was revealed to the world, something that would have most men drooling at such a sexy sight…

But in this case…

'What kind of situation is this? And why do I feel like a criminal…?'

It only served to make Adam uncomfortable.

"Huh?" The girl, who sat on the ground, was surprised to find two people watching her, her beautiful blonde hair swaying in the wind as her green eyes shone with innocence.

Her outfit was strange—a nun's dress with a white veil adorned with a cross.

"Here, let me help you." Adam quickly offered her a hand, which the girl accepted without hesitation, her expression grateful.

"Thank you very much."

And of course, Adam didn't need more to know who this girl was. Asia Argento, the poor girl who would have her Sacred Gear stolen by the fallen angels. He remembered her, but without knowing what part of the plot he was in, he didn't feel he could help her.

But here she was, an innocent soul destined to suffer… Adam didn't need to think much to decide he wouldn't let that happen.

He wouldn't be any better than someone like Lucifer if he turned a blind eye to her. It simply wasn't in his nature.

If it was within his power, then he would do it. It was simple.

"Are you hurt?" he asked, Saki stepping closer behind him with a worried look.

Asia, who nodded to him, was surprised for a moment at how easily he understood her. "You… How did you know I speak Latin?"

"You look like a foreigner and are wearing a nun's outfit, it wasn't hard to guess."

"Oh…" Asia blinked and gave a small smile. "It's great to meet someone I can communicate with properly!"

Saki, who watched the interaction between the two in a strange language, could only observe them in silence, a bit confused by the situation. "Do you know her?"

"No." He looked at Saki. "She's a foreigner, so I feel like I should help her."

Turning to her, Adam stopped in front of the small girl, his hand gently resting on top of her head, making her blush. "Could you go on without me? I'll make it up to you this weekend."

"O-Okay." Saki smiled, a silly expression taking over her face.

"I'll see you at your house, then."

She nodded, and after saying goodbye to the two, she continued on her way to school alone.

Adam watched this with a smile. Saki was such a good girl—saving her was definitely the right choice.

"Is she your friend?" Asia watched Saki walk away, curious about the relationship between the two.

"Yes, a good friend." He turned to the nun. "Alright, how about I accompany you to your destination? I can show you around the city while we're at it."

Asia was surprised, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "Would that be okay?"

"Of course."

"Alright!"

It seemed he now had a new goal…

To save Asia Argento.

As soon as Rias entered the doors of the Occult Research Club, Akeno was the first to greet her. Sitting elegantly on the couch, yet with her natural sensuality, she turned to her mistress with curiosity.

"How did it go?"

Rias didn't answer immediately, sitting on the couch with an inscrutable expression, which only made Akeno more curious.

"He's… interesting. Everything about him has an air of mystery, but he doesn't seem hostile."

"Oh~ So, he's really human?"

"Yes, as Koneko said, there's nothing abnormal about him except for the strange aura surrounding him… It's oddly pleasant."

"Mm~ So, do you see him as a potential member?"

"...Perhaps. But I still need to learn more about him."

Akeno's expression brightened with interest. "And what's your plan?"

A small smile spread across Rias's lips. "His house was damaged in the battle against the fallen angel, so…

Tomorrow, we're going to help him fix it."

"Ara, ara~ It seems this man has caught your attention, hasn't he? What will Issei think of that?" Akeno teased, but Rias didn't seem affected.

"I'm just making sure he's not a threat."

"Sure, sure~"
