(1st POV)
Tokyo, Japan. Around 11 p.m.
People die when they are killed.
If you'd said that to me a couple hours ago, I might've cringed. But now?
Now I think it's the biggest bullshit I've ever heard in my life.
The last thing I remembered was crossing a non-operational road… then getting hit by a truck and dying instantly.
Yeah. Not exactly an original way to get isekai'd.
The sheer absurdity of this classic isekai trope actually happening to me should've made me laugh…but, I did not.
I could not.
I woke up in an unfamiliar house I didn't recognize… and in someone else's body, to make it even worse.
Apparently, I took over the body of this guy named Aleks, a 21-year-old college student living in Tokyo with his 'family.'
And from the pieces of his memories flooding into my mind…One thing was clear: this guy was a sick bastard.
I mean…part-timing as an adult video actor? That's just…down-bad behavior.
Sigh.
What am I doing? This is the worst possible time to be distracted… especially with a literal fallen angel standing in front of me.
Her gaze had the kind of look you'd only see in serial killers playing with their victims.
Not going to lie..she was beautiful. Otherworldly even, but her black wings gave it all away. She wasn't human.
And to make things worse, the light spear she threw pierced my right arm and leg. Honestly, it was a miracle I was still standing
The pain had been swelling for a while, but I was too caught up in my thoughts to notice how much worse it had gotten. With each passing second, I was losing more blood; my knees were weakening, but I gritted my teeth and endured it.
From Aleks's memories, I pieced together what led to this moment.
He had been studying in his room when a sudden, high-pitched scream echoed from the hallway downstairs. It was his stepmother's. Startled, he rushed down with his stepsister, three years younger than him, only to witness a horrific murder scene.
He saw a woman with black wings stabbing his stepmother with her bare hands, over and over again, like a psychopath
The woman in question only let out a cold smile upon seeing them.
"Ara… you arrived sooner than I thought. Impressive. Quite brave for filthy monkeys."
Aleks and Yana were frozen in horror, and the moment the fallen angel noticed, she decided to entertain herself by toying with the siblings.
She then threw a light spear at Yana, but Aleks quickly intercepted it, protecting her and taking the hit himself. That's when I took over.
I glanced at Yana. She was trembling, with tears streaming down her face, and whispering 'please let us go' over and over. She didn't even sound like herself anymore. Watching her mother die right in front of her… yeah. It broke something in her. I don't know why but it broke something in me too.
That was the moment I fully accepted my situation.
This fallen bitch had every advantage: speed, strength, and supernatural powers. And me? I'm just an ordinary guy who was trapped in someone else's body. What am I supposed to do?
But then I looked at Yana… and slowly down at my own hands.
They were covered in blood.
My blood
Yana looked at me like I was her last hope. It seemed she'd already accepted that she was about to lose me… just like her mother.
My body was beyond saving at this point.
There was no way I would make it out alive.
But if Yana lives…
If at least she survives…
Then maybe… dying again won't feel so bad.
At that moment, I made up my mind.
I didn't hesitate—I lunged at the fallen angel with my fist clenched, but it was just a bluff. In the last few steps, I sidestepped and scooped a chef's knife off the floor.
I tightened my grip and hurled the knife at her with everything I had..but…
She caught it mid-air like it was nothing.
Then came the punch straight to my chest.
Something in my ribs snapped. The next thing I knew, I was on the floor, desperately gasping for air.
"Disgusting," she spat.
"Seriously? Did you really think a knife would hurt me? You must pay for looking down on me, human… now die."
Light started to form in her hand; brighter, and deadlier than before.
"As a gift, I'll make your death very, very painful~"
She licked her lips, then sent the projectile straight at me… again.
This is it.
I'm going to die again.
I don't get why some God would put me in this situation, only for me to die again. What was even the point of all this?
If they're punishing me for being a good person my whole life, I swear, I'll start being a sinner if I ever get a third chance.
I closed my eyes, bracing for the worst… but nothing came.
Startled, I opened them, only to see the world washed in grey, as if the very concept of color had stopped existing
Everyone froze in time, the crazy woman, Yana, Time itself. It felt similar to Dio using The World to stop time.
I don't know what was happening anymore, One second I was about to get stabbed by the light spear…the next everything just… stopped.
"What the fuck is going on? Did…did I finally lose my sanity? After all this shit?" I squatted down while holding my temples.
I have to think rationally now. The reincarnation, time stopping, none of this is just a random coincidence.
Someone or something is actively trying to screw me over… and I've no idea who or what is behind it.
I've got an idea.
Why not take advantage of this situation? If time itself is frozen, maybe I can end this fallen bitch right here?
I mean I am unaffected so might as well get the best of this situation.
I didn't waste a second. I rushed straight toward her, snatched the knife off the floor, and aimed to stab her to a bloody pulp..
But the moment the blade made contact with her body…it got repelled like similar poles magnets repel each other.
What the hell?
"Interesting… you are taking this situation quite well, my dear." I heard a voice behind my back.
My entire body froze.
That voice didn't come from this fallen bitch. It echoed in my head. Smooth, ethereal, and almost hypnotic. It wasn't human. No… it was something beyond that.
I felt someone or something touching my shoulder even though I couldn't see anyone behind me.
I felt chills run down my spine.
"Who…?" I asked, barely above a whisper.
I still couldn't perceive this entity, however, based on their voice, she appears to be a female.
"It's me. Your benefactor, Rein Leonidas.. I am the one who brought you to this world."
What?
No. No, no, no! Did I just hear that right?
Heart pounding, I blurted out the only thing that made sense to ask:
"Why? Why the hell would you do that? And why drop me in the middle of this mess?!"
I was done being calm. I needed answers. Now.
"Now why would I tell you that? That would ruin all the fun."
Her voice curled with amusement before shifting into a playful lilt.
"Oh, and you may call me Goddess… well because I'm so overwhelmingly strong that the title became my second name~." She boasted confidently, then paused.
And for some reason, that pause felt like invisible fingers gliding across my heart, the same kind of unsettling touch the Witch of Envy used on Subaru.
"You humans are always poking your noses into things best left unknown. So think of this as… just another mystery for you to solve."
Her voice was playful, mocking even.
"What I will say is this, I'm here to offer you two choices."
Her voice curled around my thoughts.
"Option one: you form a contract with me. In return, I grant you a 'gift', one that ensures your survival."
"Option two: you refuse. You walk away, and whatever happens next is entirely your responsibility."
She leaned in, just slightly. I couldn't see her face, but I felt the smirk in her tone.
"So, what will it be…Rein?"
Even though I can't see her, I can feel her. She is pressing her breasts against my back. The sensation was so pleasurable that it felt unreal.
Her touch… was warm and teasing. Her breath brushes against my ear. It feels like she is kissing my neck, licking it, and tracing circles with her tongue like she's playing with someone who's never been touched before.
Trying to seduce me huh? Classic move, Goddess.
Ah. Now it all makes sense.
You put me in this damn situation on purpose, just so I'd have no choice but to take up your offer. If I refuse, I'm fucked. I'll stand no chance against that birch and die the worst death ever.
So really… what choice do I even have?
Do I want to die? Heck no.
I was twenty-three when I died in my last life. Twenty-three. Didn't even get to experience half the shit I dreamed of doing. I'm not ready to check out again.
Taking a deep breath, I finally made my decision.
"I pick option one… just tell me what the contract is about."
The moment the words left my mouth, she giggled, her voice was so intoxicating that it almost made me forget she was manipulating the hell out of me.
"That makes me happy, as a reward…" her tone suggested she was genuinely pleased by my choice.
Then I felt her hands on my face. She cupped my cheeks gently, like I was someone really precious to her.
And then she…kissed me.
.
.
.
Huh?
For a second, my mind went blank.
My eyes shot wide open, not in shock, but in the quiet realization that I, a normal human, was being kissed by a Goddess.
I know I should've pulled away, but I couldn't. I literally couldn't.
She didn't stop. Her lips pressed firmly against mine, our tongues intertwining in a messy, lewd exchange.
It felt like it lasted five whole minutes before she finally pulled back.
Goddess, I wish I could see your face.
I don't even know anything about her…
and I'm not about to blindly trust some cosmic being who just so happens to claim herself as my "benefactor."
But… if she kissed me, then maybe she likes me.
At least to some extent… right?
I mean—why would a Goddess, a divine being, suddenly show affection toward a normal human like me?
Even manipulators have standards…or maybe she's just a hoe.
But I still want to think that there's a chance she likes me..
And if that's true… then maybe I can use that.
Maybe staying on her good side is the safest move I've got right now.
I felt like she was looking at me and smiling, as if she could read every thought running through my mind.
"I'm glad you chose to form a contract with me, Rein," she said softly. "You belong to me now… forever."
"…Why?" I replied hesitantly, before continuing.
"Why do you care so much about me? I'm just an ordinary guy," I said, my voice low, almost disbelieving. "Why go this far for someone like me?"
I couldn't wrap my head around it. Everything she'd done, it didn't add up. Why would someone like her be this invested in me? I wasn't anything special… not in any supernatural way, at least.
She chuckled softly.
"Oh, my sweet Rein. You sell yourself short too much. Don't underestimate yourself, my dear."
She leaned in, her words brushing against my ear while her breasts pressed against my chest.
"Let's just say you're special. You're a human with immense potential. And I hate seeing potential go to waste."
"Also, you're the first human that has truly managed to impress me."
With that, she snapped her fingers.
To her command, a golden scroll materialized right in front of me, floating in the air while radiating divinity just through its presence.
Slowly, strange letters I didn't recognize began appearing across the surface, glowing softly as they wrote themselves. I couldn't read the language, but somehow, I understood every word. It was a weird experience.
It read:
Under mutual accord, both parties hereby enter into an eternal covenant, bound only upon the acceptance of the terms inscribed below.
Party A: █████ (Goddess)
Party B: Rein Leonidas
Party A offers Party B the Authority known as "Path of the Human God" in exchange for the ownership of Party B's soul. There are no take-backs once the contract is formed.
My eyes widened the moment it lay on the words Path of the Human God.
When I focused more, the description of that power magically surged into my mind.
This… this was beyond anything I ever imagined. Even with all its rules and restrictions, this power was just broken. I don't even have the words to describe how absurdly insane it is.
In simple terms, it lets me use the template of any human character from a fictional work I knew in my previous life—for one hour per day.
Yeah. For one hour a day, I can access the abilities of any character from anime, manga, movies, games, or other visual media. As long as they're human, I can tap into their power.
Of course, there are limitations. This power classifies characters into three tiers:
Tier 1 – These are the baseline monsters. Basically anyone below the "Continent" level. Think: Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen.
Cooldown? Ten seconds. Aside from the one-hour-per-day limit, I can use these templates as much as I want.
Tier 2 was dangerous. We're talking serious firepower. "Continent Level" to "World-Ender" scale.
Cooldown? Ten days.
Yeah, you read that right. After channeling a Tier 2 character, the entire Path of the Human God shuts down for ten days.
Tier 3?
Literal gods in human skin.
Saitama. Aleister Crowley. Franklin Richards. God Emperor Doom… I began thinking of every fictional human character who completely defied the laws of physics and logic.
This alone should make me the strongest being in this world… and yet…the cooldown.
The bloody ten-year cooldown.
Coupled with the other restrictions this Authority has… really, this Goddess is dead set on nerfing me into the ground.
(Author's Note: Read auxiliary chapter to know more about it if you care.)
She's giving me power great enough to make me strong… but never enough to escape the consequences.
Speaking of consequences…I realized the cost I would have to pay for this power. I would have to sell my soul to her if I wished to continue living.
Am I that desperate to live?
Sadly? The answer is yes. I don't want to die….even if it means being her slave for the next eternity, If I get to live, and enjoy my life, I will be happy.
Honestly, who am I kidding? She has many ways to force me into accepting the contract. I am but a mortal in front of her. This whole contract ordeal was just for formality.
"I accept the contract."
As soon as I command those words, the contract dematerileized and a crest formed on my left hand, serving as the evidence of the contract.
She held my hand and then caressed it gently.
"I am happy you accepted my contract. Do not worry, I won't take away your freedom." She continued.
"All I wish you to do in this life is to get as strong as possible. You have a lot of time to achieve it. I won't be able to meet you anytime soon…even doing this was a hassle."
But then she leaned forward.
"The next time we meet, I will…I will let you do it with me." She seductively whispered in my ear.
My thoughts short-circuited.
Did she just… say that?
Before I could even begin to react—
"One piece of advice Rein."
Her tone suddenly turned serious.
"Do not go after collecting Longinus Sacred Gears created by the Biblical God. If you acquire one, the System he left behind will flag you…and when that happens…the Overseer of this Multiverse will notice you."
"The problem is not the Sacred Gears themselves. The problem is you. For some reason, the Overseer has made a connection with Heaven's System to monitor this world…"
"I can't explain everything now. Just…stay away from them for your own safety."
Wait… Sacred Gears? Why does that sound so familiar…
I rack my brain, browsing through my old memories, and then it hits me—
High School fucking DxD.
Where boobs are a source of reality-shattering power.
There's no doubt about it. That's where I've heard it.
But… no need to panic. Not now.
With the power I've been given, my survival is guaranteed, no matter how crazy this world gets.
I let out a slow breath, my thoughts finally beginning to settle.
"It seems I ran out of time. Good Luck…Rein, I hope to see you soon!"
Her presence faded, leaving me alone before I could even say goodbye.
Then, Time returned to normal.
The light spear that was originally aimed at my neck, shot forward. But I'd already moved out of the way. Instead, it pierced Yana's shoulder.
She screamed in agony as the force sent her tumbling down the stairs.
"Aaahhh!! It hurts, it h-hurts *sniff* it h-hurtss!!"
She cried out, clutching her shoulder, body twitching from the pain.
I looked at her. Something twisted inside me. Guilt? Rage?
Maybe it's Aleks's influence bleeding into me… his attachment to this family.
Because right now, I want that fallen angel to suffer more than anything.
She ruined everything.
Because of her, I had to sell my damn soul to that goddess.
Pray to God you disgraced witch, you've lost your right to live.
"Huh?" the bitch muttered, confused.
Her eyes locked onto me, standing behind her now.
She spun and tried to hit me with another punch…
…Only for her fist to freeze mid-air.
"W-what? Why can't I touch you!?" she yelled, her voice laced with fury.
I smiled.
"It's Infinity. The more you try to touch me… the slower you get." I replied with a cocky smile creasing my face.
Because right now, I'm using the Gojo Satoru template. I even healed my injuries using reversed cursed technique.
My perception was also off the charts. With Six Eyes, everything, every movement, sound, sensation, was in crystal-clear detail. So this is what Gojo feels like? No wonder he wears a blindfold. The stimulus is overwhelming.
Without hesitation, I slammed a Cursed Energy enhanced punch into her gut.
She went flying, crashing into a wall, leaving cracks in the concrete.
I turned and walked toward Yana.
She was still on the ground, pale and trembling. Her face contorted in pain.
I knelt, gently picked her up. Her eyes which were full of tears, met mine and then she threw her arms around me.
"A-Aleks…? It h-hurts, I-I can't bear the p-pain any-more.…" she whimpered, breaking down in my arms.
"I know…" I whispered, holding her tight. "But I'll fix everything, I promise. Just trust me, alright?"
She nodded faintly… I used CE to make her fall asleep, causing her to lose consciousness. I just can't bear to see her crying.
"This'll be over soon, Yana… I'll heal you. I'll even bring Mom back. Somehow."
I turned, with Yana still in my arms.
The fallen angel had already recovered. Her eyes locked on me with venomous hate.
"My, my… you're no ordinary human," she said, forcing a calm voice. "Tell me, what was that technique? Maybe I'll show mercy if you cooperate."
I laughed.
"Did you hit your head? I already told you. Are you actually dumb… or just dumb on purpose?"
It looked like she couldn't hold herself back anymore. Rage was written all over her face.
She lunged again, faster this time. But her body jerked to a stop as Infinity kicked in.
Pain surged through her limbs as she collapsed, groaning.
I grabbed her by the throat.
"Talk. Why did you attack my family? Who sent you?"
She hissed and spat at me…only for it to get stopped by Infinity again.
"As if I'd tell you anything. Go fucking die, you filthy piece of shit!"
She broke free and staggered back, forming a glowing magic circle in her hand.
"If I die, my SOS spell is already set up," she said with a wild grin.
"They'll find you. They'll hunt you. You're screwed, human. Kekekeke!" She laughed.
To her baseless threats, I tilted my head in amusement.
"Who said anything about killing you?"
Her laugh stopped.
I lifted my right hand and formed the Taishakuten Mudra, middle and index fingers interlocked, the rest extended.
I smirked in excitement. Adrenaline coursing through my entire body.
"Domain Expansion…"
The world around her twisted, space warped.
"Infinite Void."
