Chapter 313 - Chapter 310: Master~

Until one day, a group of people claiming to be from the TVA suddenly appeared in front of her.

They sternly informed Wanda that her actions had severely disrupted the timeline and that she must be destroyed.

But by then, Wanda had already absorbed the powers of hundreds of versions of herself. Her strength was no longer what it used to be.

In an instant, she killed them all, not even leaving behind ashes.

Wanda didn't think much of these people who suddenly appeared and disappeared just as quickly. In her eyes, only the endless journey through different worlds mattered.

She continued her quest to find other universes. However, unknowingly, she seemed to have gradually forgotten her original purpose, her heart consumed by an overwhelming desire for power.

In one world, she saw another version of herself—one who hadn't even awakened her powers. Too weak. She had initially planned to skip that world.

Until a man appeared and caught her attention.

This man was full of contradictions and mystery.

He possessed enough power to overturn the world, yet the most ruthless thing he had done was break the legs of every gang member.

He was someone who should be feared, yet he liked to act like a mischievous child, scaring the ordinary Wanda and making her cry.

His favorite thing to do every day was to cuddle up with a group of women like a child. Yet in front of outsiders, he exuded the image of a majestic demon king.

But he treated the other Wanda very well—he resurrected her parents, looked after Quicksilver, and taught her magic. Every time he returned, he brought gifts.

The women around him didn't reject her. They treated her like a little sister, took her out to have fun, and bought her clothes.

Because of this man, that ordinary Wanda could openly use her powers without causing fear in others. Instead, she was met with admiration and respect.

Wanda was deeply drawn to this kind of life. She stopped her journey through the multiverse and chose to stay in this mutant universe.

Since then, the thing she did the most every day was simply watch the life of that other version of herself and that mysterious man.

She watched how that Wanda, under the protection of the man, lived happily every day.

Waking up on time to study, spending holidays with friends and family, and occasionally scolding Quicksilver.

Such an ordinary and warm life might seem boring, but Wanda watched with great focus, as if she were trying to find a happiness she never had—through the eyes of another self.

Until one day, an unexpected confession happened.

At that moment, she came to her senses. She clearly realized that she wasn't the one being loved and protected.

Two completely different emotions surged in her heart.

On one hand, envy—envy that the other Wanda could be so completely cared for.

On the other hand, a deep jealousy—jealousy at how unfair fate was, letting her suffer through endless pain.

Then, a terrifying thought quietly sprouted in her heart:

Kill her. Replace her. Make him mine.

Once that idea surfaced, it spread like wildfire, driving Wanda to resume her interdimensional journey.

But just as she arrived in that world, she was confronted by a mysterious woman.

That woman merely touched her gently, and Wanda was seriously injured.

The power she had absorbed from hundreds of her counterparts was like air in front of that woman—completely useless. She was instantly sent back to her original universe.

And that wasn't the worst of it. While she was recovering, that timeline was pruned by the TVA, and her essence became tightly connected to that world.

She could no longer leave. All she could do was quietly wait for death to arrive, watching helplessly as another version of herself lived a happy life.

Until one day, Wanda sensed someone was coming from the future.

She thought the mysterious man might be interested in this world, so she sent the future person's consciousness to another universe.

Sure enough, he came—though it was only a consciousness projection.

But Wanda already felt satisfied.

She eagerly hoped that the man would stay, that she could receive his protection, and experience the life her other self had.

However, until her final breath, the man didn't even spare her a single glance.

Wanda finally understood—this man would never belong to her.

Unwillingness… Deep, overwhelming unwillingness echoed in her heart.

"So, you wanted to replace me?"

In a dream, Wanda slowly opened her eyes, her gaze calm as she looked at the powerful Scarlet Witch before her.

Based on her earlier memories, the Scarlet Witch in front of her had overwhelming strength and experience compared to her.

"I'm already dead. I don't even count as a consciousness anymore."

The Scarlet Witch gave a bitter smile. Right now, she was nothing but a lingering obsession.

"Then what do you want?" Wanda asked, confused.

"To give you a gift."

As the Scarlet Witch spoke, a shimmering light slowly appeared in her hand. The glowing orb floated between them, giving off a faint yet mysterious glow.

"This is what's left of my essence. It's not much, but it can elevate your Chaos Magic beyond even your Master's—without any side effects."

This way, we'll be one. As long as my power remains in your body, maybe the Master will like me too.

A look of yearning appeared on the Scarlet Witch's face.

Wanda didn't hesitate much. She reached out to grab the light and began to absorb it. Free power—why not?

The Scarlet Witch was momentarily stunned by her response.

"You trust me that easily? Aren't you afraid I did something to it?"

Wanda shook her head.

"I never trust a lunatic. I just trust my Master. Even if you replace me, my Master will come to save me."

With that, Wanda began to absorb the power and knowledge.

As the Scarlet Witch lost her strength, her remaining obsession started to fade. She quietly watched Wanda and spoke softly.

"So jealous…Why couldn't I be the one who met him…So bitter…Why…"

Her voice grew fainter and fainter, until it disappeared completely—leaving only Wanda, who continued to absorb the power.

No one knew how much time passed.

Wanda awoke in the real world. The morning sun peeked through the gap in the curtains, casting a white streak of light across the room.

Wanda got out of bed, opened the curtains, and stretched as she looked out at the garden.

She changed her clothes and went downstairs.

Qinno was there too, sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Wanda, you got up a bit late today. Stayed up late last night?" Qinno asked.

"Mm, just stayed up a bit doing homework," Wanda replied, shaking her head as she sat across from him.

"Don't push yourself too hard. It's fine if you hand it in a bit late," Qinno said gently.

"Got it, Master~"

That one word—"Master"—made Qinno shiver.

He looked at Wanda, a flicker of suspicion in his eyes.

Her soul didn't show any abnormalities.

"Wanda… Why did you say it in such a weird tone?"

"I saw this actor in a drama saying it that way recently. Just wanted to try it out. Don't like it, Master~?" Wanda blinked innocently, though a faint, imperceptible smile flashed in her eyes.

"Uh… Just act normal. Don't copy everything," Qinno said helplessly. But in his heart, something still felt off, though he couldn't quite figure out what it was.

Maybe the Scarlet Witch had left too deep of an impression on him.

"Okay~"

Wanda's lips curled into a slight smile, the amusement in her eyes growing stronger.

Bang!

"Wuu…"

The next moment, Wanda held her head, eyes brimming with tears.

"Told you to act normal."

"Got it, Master."

Quote of the Chapter:

"The line between envy and ambition is thin—when one wants what others have, the other dares to take it."
