Chapter 314 - Chapter 311: The Demon Gang

Earth FederationBeautiful DistrictNew York

Night fell, as dark as ink.

The streets were sparsely populated.

In a dark alley—Motorcycles, supercars, F4s…All kinds of vehicles silently appeared on the roads.

Boom!

With a fireball exploding in the sky—

"Let it begin! The Demon Gang's carnival! Hahahahaha!"

Harley stood on a yellow Chevrolet, wearing exaggerated demonic makeup on her face, laughing wildly.

"Long live the Demon Gang!"

Under the light, everyone's faces bore the same makeup.

"I'll repeat the Demon Gang's survival rules."

"First, no killing.""Second, if caught by little Spider, you're automatically 'dead'—out of the gang for a year.""Third, no restrictions. Rob freely and enjoy the chaos!"

Vroooom—

Engines roared to life.

Everyone floored their gas pedals.

Like a black tidal wave, they surged onto the streets and immediately scattered in all directions toward their individual targets.

Meanwhile, police officers who had received advance notice also flooded the streets from all directions in their patrol cars.

"Boss, we have a traitor. The cops are here."

Edward, a Demon Gang member inside a supercar, picked up his phone. Behind him, two police cruisers were hot on his tail.

"Didn't I notify you? The police are part of tonight's event too."

Harley's puzzled voice came from the phone.

"No, boss…"

Edward pulled an exasperated expression.

His boss really couldn't be relied on.

"Well, now you know. Oh, by the way, getting caught by the cops counts as a one-year death penalty too."

Edward hung up and passed the message along to the others.

"Oh my God! Boss could've at least warned us! We barely brought any weapons!"

"A one-year death penalty means no criminal activity for a whole year! You even have to join the police department!"

"Shut up and drive!"

"Bang bang bang! Come on, coppers! Hahahaha!"

Although his companions were all complaining, their feet pressed harder on the gas as they fled madly across the streets, engaging in a thrilling chase with the police.

Edward looked over at his companion—a professional racecar driver who had joined the Demon Gang to relieve stress from his high-pressure job.

As it happened, Edward was also his manager.

"It's all yours now, Johnny."

"OK! You better be ready!"

Johnny grinned with excitement.

When a turn appeared ahead, he executed a dazzling sequence of moves—pulling a 180-degree drift and narrowly brushing past the two pursuing police cars.

Edward took the chance to toss two smoke bombs behind them.

The police cars screeched to a halt in the middle of the road, watching the Demon Gang vanish into the distance.

The two-man racing team drove straight to a jewelry store.

"This is a robbery! Put everything in the bag!"

"Where's the jewelry?!"

They aimed their small pistols at the counters—only to find them completely empty.

"You're too late. The jewels were taken five minutes ago. You might want to try the bank 300 meters to the left."

The jewelry store owner replied with a smile.

"F**k…"

"Forget it, we're already late—probably the bank's empty too."

The two dashed out of the store and sped away.

At this moment, chaos and madness ruled over every corner of New York.

The Demon Gang, created by Harley, had attracted countless followers thanks to its legal rights to commit crimes at night.

Loot gained from robbery could be exchanged for points, which could be traded for valuable items. With enough points, one could even join the Demon Corporation, a true golden opportunity.

No matter how recklessly they behaved at night, no one would come after them during the day.

However, if they were caught by the police or little Spider during the night, they had to live like law-abiding citizens for a whole year—or reduce their "death sentence" by working for the police.

Since evil couldn't be completely eliminated, the authorities had carved out a special night for criminals to vent their dark desires.

This proposal had even been backed by George, who feared the police's role would be gradually weakened if nothing was done.

As Harley was wildly speeding down a street, a black figure suddenly appeared in her path.

Without hesitation, she floored the gas pedal. The car surged forward like a raging bull.

Just before impact, the figure reacted swiftly, performing a graceful backflip to dodge the car.

Harley brought the car to a sharp halt, grabbed a baseball bat from the passenger seat, and strode out.

"Nice reflexes. Are you a Spider-Man fan? Or a Ghost-Spider fan? Join my Demon Gang—I can get you an autograph."

Harley teased, but the figure gave no response.

The black figure turned slowly—wearing a black Spider mask, staring straight at Harley.

"Why aren't you talking? Too shy?"

She asked curiously. In a flash, she swung her bat toward the figure.

Whoosh!

"Fast little thing."

Her bat hit nothing as the Black Spider-Man leapt up onto a nearby wall.

"What are you doing, Harley?"

Another figure appeared in white—it was Gwen, wearing the Ghost-Spider armor.

"Beating up spiders."

Harley pointed at the Black Spider-Man on the wall.

Gwen frowned slightly.

She studied the figure more closely. The costume looked eerily similar to her original one, only black in color and with extra tactical belts.

Buzz!

Gwen's Spider-Sense activated—she sensed a fellow Spider.

"Can you take off your mask?"

She asked.

The Black Spider-Man didn't respond. Instead, they shot two webs, anchoring to walls on both sides—using themselves like a slingshot to launch directly at Gwen.

She dodged effortlessly.

The Black Spider followed up with a fierce, almost lethal, combat sequence.

Gwen grabbed the leg that aimed for her—

[Shock Mode]

Electric blue currents crackled from her palm, surging like snakes across the Black Spider's body.

"Aaaaahhhh!"

The Black Spider screamed and collapsed to the ground, smoking and twitching.

"You fried her, little spider."

Harley squatted beside the fallen figure, mocking with a grin.

"I held back."

Gwen rolled her eyes, then removed the mask—only to freeze in shock.

It was her own face.

Identical in every way—like a mirror.

"You have a sister?"

Harley poked the girl's cheek out of curiosity. It was real.

"No. Harley, end the game."

"My game has just started. But if you play with me next time, I'll stop now."

"Fine. I'll take her with me."

Gwen tied up the Black Spider and prepared to find Chino.Something told her—this was far from simple.
