As Gardevoir teleported Ash and his team to the same floor as Sabrina and Blue, a chilling aura enveloped them instantly.
Ash nodded at Mega Houndoom and Charizard, prompting both Pokémon to dash into the room, unleashing Flamethrowers as they entered.
In response to the flames, a figure quickly darted away from its previous position, and Ash charged at the retreating shadow with a punch, accompanied by Absol and Beedrill.
"Guh!"
Just as Ash was about to strike the figure, a Delibird swooped in from the side, launching an Ice Beam that caught Ash and his friends off guard. The blast was powerful, and Ash felt a surge of surprise. He quickly shouted, "Inferno!"

With a combination of dual Infernos, Ash and his Pokémon managed to neutralize Delibird's Ice Beam. Quickly, Ash ran to the side of Blue and Sabrina, who were protected by Blissey standing steadfast in front of them.
"Is everyone okay?"
First, he fed Blissey a recovery item and then looked at Sabrina, Blue, and Pikachu. Nearby, Nidoking and Nidoqueen were nursing frostbite injuries.
"This frostbite... this is troublesome…"
After spraying remedy on Nidoking and Nidoqueen, Ash turned his attention back to the masked figure he had targeted earlier.
Sabrina moved closer to Ash, gripping his hand. "Be careful; that masked man is strong. His Pokémon can suppress my psychic abilities."
"Is that so? No wonder you didn't teleport everyone out—it seems we're in for quite a challenge."
Blue peeked out from behind Ash, her voice a mix of concern and urgency. "Be careful, Ash! That guy's Delibird has powerful ice moves. Your Nidoking and Nidoqueen just got frozen!"
"I see... Well, Pikachu!"
"Pika Pika!" (Time to battle?)
"Zigzagoon!"
"Zigzag!" (Let's go!)
At Ash's call, the two Pokémon jumped onto his shoulders. Ash suddenly shouted, "Everyone, go! Erupt and retreat!"
Ash's abrupt command startled the masked man, but at that moment, Mega Houndoom, Absol, Arcanine, Meowth, Blissey, and Gengar launched a coordinated attack. The masked man yelled, "Delibird, take me away!"

The explosion was intense, shaking the very foundations of Silph Co. Just then, Giovanni had successfully acquired a Master Ball and, aided by the healing item Ash had provided earlier, he prepared Beedrill for battle against Red. Upon noticing the explosion on Ash and Sabrina's floor, he quickly activated a communication device. "Sebastian, how are things on your end?"
Before Giovanni had to wait long for a response, Ash's voice came through the device.
"It's fine, but this time, we have a significant problem..."
As Gardevoir used her psychokinetic powers to keep Ash and the others in the air, they turned to see the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh hovering silently, causing them to hold their breath.
"Wow!!!!"
With a cry, Ho-Oh unleashed a torrent of Sacred Fire toward Ash and his group. Seeing this, Mega Houndoom flashed a predatory glare and charged toward the divine flames.
"Hey, Mega Houndoom! Just because you have the Flash Fire ability doesn't mean you can play around like that! That's Ho-Oh's flames! Dial it back! Gardevoir, lift Mega Houndoom out of the way! Mega Houndoom, come back!"
"Gardevoir!"
Watching as Mega Houndoom rushed into the flames, Ash's heart raced. "Is this fool really going for it?! If she didn't react fast enough, I'd lose my ace!" Quickly waving his Poké Ball, he prepared to recall Mega Houndoom before it was too late.
Yet, even as Gardevoir released the telekinetic hold, Mega Houndoom stubbornly resisted returning, rushing headlong toward Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire. Houndoom called out, and somehow, every person there understood its meaning.
"As long as it's for you, what does hell matter ahead?"
Then, Mega Houndoom unleashed Cerberus Fury, transforming into a three-headed hellhound, engulfed in flames, launching itself at the Sacred Fire.
"Woo!!!!"
As the hellish creature clamped onto the Sacred Fire, the divine flames seared Mega Houndoom's body. Despite having the Flash Fire ability due to its evolution with Ash, the pain remained unbearable. Yet, thinking of Ash and his friends behind it reinforced Mega Houndoom's resolve, as it mercilessly bit down, intensifying its grip on Ho-Oh's flames.
"You bastard! If that's the case, then tear that damn fire to shreds! Go, Mega Houndoom!"
While Ash shouted, ripping off his mask, the bond he shared with Mega Houndoom resonated deeply. The pain Mega Houndoom endured flowed back to Ash, just as much as Ash relieved some of the anguish from Houndoom.
"Crush it, Mega Houndoom! Then become the true guardian of the underworld!"
With Ash's roar echoing, Mega Houndoom, transformed into the hellfire hellhound, cried out, shattering Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire into countless embers!
"Awrooo!!!!"
After destroying the Sacred Fire, the hellhound erupted forward, shooting a torrent of golden flames at the masked man and Ho-Oh, utilizing the fire they had once faced.
"Get out of the way!"
The masked man was left astonished, at a loss for words. While his Pokémon could defeat legendaries together, this bizarre Houndoom managed to absorb Ho-Oh's flames?!
As he realized the gravity of the situation, Ash chuckled gently while resting on Sabrina and Blue for support, "Looks like you're shocked too; that's even better! Since Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire is now absorbed by Houndoom, let's... Mega Houndoom! Let this guy feel our malice!"
"Woo~ Roar!!!!"
Accompanying Mega Houndoom's roar came a dark inferno, blasting toward Ho-Oh. Faced with such a previously unseen type of flame, the masked man shrugged off his arrogance and immediately ordered Ho-Oh to evade.
As he attempted to flee, Ash and his group landed safely on the ground. Without wasting a moment, Ash fed Mega Houndoom a recovery item, releasing all of his Pokémon into battle.
"Great! Now it's time for you to understand the consequences of messing with my wife!"
After the initial tension dissipated, Ash realized something monumental: it seemed as if the legendary Pokémon here were weak... perhaps they could gang up on it!
