The forest loomed like a living nightmare, its twisted branches clawing at the sky. Mist curled around the gnarled roots, hiding shadows that moved of their own accord.

Although the information make the beast sounds simple but that not it at all, Felix knew that the beast had an innate ability that can make it almost invincible and hard to see. In this case they abush their enemy, they can be said to be similar to the human assassin.
This innate ability makes it hard for people to kill them but made it easy for the beast should assassinate them but Felix is different from the others.

The mossdrift lynan are considered assassin type beast because of their speed and invincibility but their main weakness is thier defence and attack power.
Once they spot thier target they would circle around the target and attack using their almost invincibility to their advantage and land a hit to thier enemies vital point.
This is why people fear the mossdrift lynan because not everyone is like Felix having an eye skill that can increase his eyesight.
If the mossdrift lynan miss the target vital point and was spotted then the mossdrift lynan that was an assassin can only wait for it death because once they reveal themselves from their invincible mode it would be harder to enter it back immediately.
Felix target was precisely the mossdrift lynan neck because that was a weakness to the major beast and even human are not excluded.
Seeing its two headless comrades lying died on the floor the last mossdrift lynan was scared to a retreat.
Although they have no intelligent and can't think the way human did but they still has the beast instinct.
