Chapter 60 - Chapter 33: Returning to Kame House

The plane flew swiftly, and in less than two hours, John landed in front of Kame House with Bulma.

Kame House was no longer located on the small island from before; instead, it was situated on a larger island nearby, just like when John had trained there.

Upon entering Kame House, John and Bulma saw only Launch, Oolong, and Pu-erh inside. Master Roshi, Yamcha, and Krilin were not in the house, indicating that they were currently training outside.

As soon as John and Bulma entered, Launch, who was preparing lunch for everyone, greeted John.

"Launch, please prepare more food today. You know me; a little bit of food is never enough for me," John said.

"Sure, John," Launch happily agreed. Launch was always delighted when people enjoyed the meals she prepared.

Soon, Launch left Kame House to buy more ingredients and prepare a sumptuous feast.

Since it was already close to lunchtime, John didn't go out to look for Master Roshi and the others. The island was quite large, and he wasn't sure where they were training.

Finally, around 12:00 in the afternoon, a tired Krilin and Yamcha returned to Kame House.

"Hey, Krilin, Yamcha!" John greeted them as they took off their shoes.

Seeing John sitting in the house, Krilin and Yamcha became excited, especially Krilin, who enthusiastically hugged John.

John carefully examined Krilin and then teased him, "Krilin, have you been slacking off these past few years? Why have you only grown a little bit? Is Master Roshi not feeding you enough?"

Krilin, who had been happy to see John, suddenly became dejected and said, "You're really rubbing salt in the wound. Why do you have to bring up my sore spot?"

"Haha..." Everyone burst into laughter at Krilin's reaction.

Soon, Master Roshi returned and joined them for lunch, which Launch had prepared.

John asked Krilin and Yamcha about their training.

Krilin replied, "Our morning training hasn't changed. We still deliver milk, plow fields, and do construction work, but the loads we carry are much heavier now. We're currently carrying 80-kilogram turtle shells on our backs."

"In the afternoon, I train with Yamcha in the weight room."

Krilin then curiously asked John, "Bulma told us that you came up with the idea for the weight room. So, you must be using it for training as well. How much weight can you handle now?"

There was no point in hiding it, so John replied, "I can now move freely in the 10 times Earth's gravity weight room. You guys?"

"Ten times?!?!?" Krilin and Yamcha were shocked to hear this, but after a moment, they exchanged glances and Krilin forced a smile, saying, "We're not far behind you, haha. We still need to keep working hard!"

In reality, they were far behind. They had only recently become comfortable in the 2 times Earth's gravity weight room, and even in the 4 times Earth's gravity weight room, they could barely walk a few steps before exhausting all their energy.

So, when they learned that John could move freely in the 10 times Earth's gravity weight room, Krilin and Yamcha were astonished.

However, they felt that their current strength was far inferior to John's, so they didn't want to reveal their current weight room level.

After realizing the gap between their strength and John's, the two decided to turn their disappointment into motivation and quickly finished their delicious meal. They planned to head to the weight room to train, determined to adapt to the 4 times Earth's gravity environment as soon as possible.

Master Roshi was well aware of their training progress. He had secretly tried the weight room himself and could only manage to move in the 3 times Earth's gravity environment. The 4 times Earth's gravity environment was out of the question.

It was clear that his disciples' strength had surpassed his own. Initially, he had been unsure about participating in the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament, but after learning about John's current strength, he made a firm decision not to compete in this tournament.

It would be embarrassing if he couldn't defeat even one of his disciples. It was better to maintain his dignified image from the previous tournament.

"I'm done eating. I'm going to train," Krilin said as he put down his bowl and chopsticks.

"I'm done too. I'm going to train as well," Yamcha followed suit.

Initially, they had thought their strength was already impressive, but after learning about John's progress, they realized they needed to work even harder.

At this moment, Master Roshi spoke to them, "Be careful not to rush things. There are still significant differences in natural talent between people. Just take steady steps forward, and you'll get there."

"Don't push yourself too hard and cause irreparable damage to your body in the pursuit of strength."

"Yes, Master!" Krilin and Yamcha, who had been in a hurry to train, paused and slowly walked out after hearing Master Roshi's words. They no longer felt rushed and impatient.

This was the role of a good teacher, always offering guidance at critical moments to prevent mistakes.

After Krilin and Yamcha left, Master Roshi turned to John, who was still eating heartily, and asked with a hint of disdain, "John, what's the matter? Did you just come here to eat a lot?"

"Hehe, Master, your disciple missed you after not seeing you for two years. So, I've decided to stay here for the next six months and be a good son to you," John replied.

"What do you mean by staying here for a year? Do you think I'm worth that much? If you stay here for a year, you'll eat me out of house and home," Master Roshi joked.

A meal or two was fine, but if John stayed for a year, it would be too much for Master Roshi's finances.

John understood his appetite and took out a supplementary bank card he had prepared earlier, handing it to Master Roshi. "Master, don't worry. From now on, all the expenses for food at Kame House will be covered by me for the next year."

Master Roshi's eyes lit up when he heard John's offer, and his initially unhappy expression turned into a smile. "Oh, it's not like I'm being stingy. From now on, you can stay as long as you like. Money is not an issue."

But even as Master Roshi said this, he quickly took the bank card from John.
