The day started quietly at Harrington Tech, but the silence did not last long. Mason stood by his office window, watching the city wake up. His thoughts were all over the place.
"Dimitri has been handled. But that doesn't mean the threats are over," he muttered, gripping his coffee mug tighter.
He had barely settled at his desk when Daniel walked in with an envelope. "Sir, this was dropped off early this morning. No name, no address. Just your name written on it."
Mason took the envelope cautiously and opened it. Inside was a single sheet of paper with just one sentence:
"You removed Dimitri, but now you've invited something worse."
Mason's face remained calm, but inside, alarms were ringing.
"Daniel, you can go... Thank you." Mason said, as he watched Daniel walked out of his office.
'Is this a warning? Or a threat? Who sent this?' Mason thought. He immediately picked up the phone and called his private investigator.
