"But this is just about presence! Real battles require more than intimidation alone!"
Eddie observed the tense standoff between both sides and smiled with quiet confidence.
"Mega Charizard X! Mega Garchomp! Mega Sceptile! Use Dragon Pulse!"
"Greninja! Jolteon! Hit it with Blizzard!"
"Pikachu! Thunder!"
Eddie issued his commands decisively, and his Pokémon team rushed forward with eager determination.
The three Mega-evolved dragons, now all Dragon-types, took the lead by flying directly above Dragonite's position. From there, they unleashed devastating Dragon Pulse attacks aimed straight at the wild dragon's body!
Greninja and Jolteon positioned themselves near Dragonite's flanks, launching fierce Blizzard attacks targeting the dragon's wings!
Pikachu didn't need to move closer to the frontlines—it simply generated a massive electrical current, channeling it skyward to strike Dragonite with a powerful Thunder attack!
Facing simultaneous assaults on its body, wings, and from above, Dragonite's response was surprisingly straightforward.
It immediately used Agility, dodging attacks from multiple directions with speed that rivaled even Garchomp's impressive velocity.
However...
"ROAAAR!"
Dragonite thought it had successfully evaded the coordinated assault, but all six attacks connected perfectly, causing it to cry out in pain and surprise.
The truth was that Dragonite had simply tried to break through the encirclement by charging forward, only to fly directly into the real attack trajectory where it was struck head-on.
It was nothing more than basic prediction. This wild Dragonite's movements were far too predictable. Even without Eddie's commands, his experienced Pokémon would have anticipated the dragon's path and immediately punished its overconfident approach.
"So this is what wild Pokémon are like without proper trainer guidance... Never mind, there's no point explaining strategy to you. Just bring it down!"
Eddie witnessed Dragonite's crude tactics and smiled with obvious disdain. He considered mocking their opponent further but decided it would be wasted effort, instead ordering his team to force the dragon out of the sky.
"ROAAAAR!" × 3
Upon hearing this command, the three Mega-evolved dragons roared furiously and charged toward their target.
Mega Charizard X activated its signature move, Flare Blitz. Its entire body became wreathed in blazing blue flames as it slammed down hard against Dragonite, which was still recovering from the previous combination attack.
Mega Garchomp proved even more ruthless, releasing a terrifying aura of bloodlust as it dove from the sky like a falling meteor!
This was Dragon Rush—a 100-power Dragon-type move that would be super effective against Dragonite, which shared the Dragon typing!
"ROAAAAAR!"
The meteor-like Garchomp finally smashed Dragonite downward with tremendous force, accompanied by the wild dragon's anguished screams as its massive body crashed onto the beach below.
"Wait!"
Although Dragonite had been knocked down, there was still one Mega Sceptile that hadn't joined the assault yet.
The Grass-type launched Frenzy Plant at the fallen dragon. Dozens of hardened, massive tree roots instantly erupted from the sand, wrapping around Dragonite's body and delivering additional punishment while it was down.
"GRAAAAH!"
However, even after enduring six coordinated attacks followed by three devastatingly powerful finishing blows, Dragonite still refused to fall.
On the contrary, it seemed more energetic than ever at this moment. It strained against its bonds with tremendous force, tearing apart the binding roots and breaking free from Sceptile's trap.
"Incredibly durable! This Dragonite possesses exceptional power, plus it has the natural resilience typical of Dragon-type Pokémon. While those attacks definitely hurt it, they're nowhere near enough to bring it down."
Fire and Grass-type moves dealt reduced damage to Dragonite due to type resistance, and relying solely on Mega Garchomp's Dragon-type attacks might not be sufficient either.
"ROAAAAAR!"
Dragonite roared again, but this time its cry was louder and more furious than any before.
After all, it had just endured a prolonged beating. Although it didn't seem to feel significant pain, anyone would be enraged after taking such punishment.
It first used Dragon Tail to forcefully knock back Mega Charizard X, Mega Garchomp, and Mega Sceptile as they approached for follow-up attacks.
Then it quickly soared high into the sky once more, emanating a murderous aura even more intimidating than Mega Garchomp had displayed earlier. Like a meteor, it began falling toward the battlefield below.
This was Dragon Rush—the same move Mega Garchomp had just used. However, when Dragonite executed this technique, the momentum was absolutely overwhelming. All the Pokémon felt as if an entire mountain was plummeting from the heavens above.
The target of Dragonite's devastating attack was none other than Eddie himself!
"Damn it! Even in its crazed state, this thing knows exactly who the most important target is!"
"But if you think attacking me directly will make me just dodge and run, you're seriously underestimating my partners!"
Eddie raised his hand, and Greninja, Pikachu, and Jolteon quickly moved to defensive positions around him.
"Everyone, show this arrogant Dragonite what real power looks like!"
"Ninja!"
"Pika!"
"Jolt!"
Greninja created a massive Water Shuriken and hurled it at the diving Dragonite, while Jolteon unleashed another Blizzard attack aimed at the descending dragon.
Both attacks managed to partially disrupt Dragonite's assault trajectory, though they weren't powerful enough to stop it completely—they only succeeded in reducing the dragon's diving speed somewhat.
At that crucial moment, Pikachu's small body began running forward as brilliant electrical energy engulfed its entire form. Using some nearby rocks as stepping stones, it launched itself directly into the sky, rushing straight toward the incoming threat.
Volt Tackle versus Dragon Rush!
"What?! How can Pikachu be so reckless? Where does it get the confidence to face Dragonite head-on like that?"
Eddie was genuinely shocked. He hadn't expected Pikachu to be so bold as to engage Dragonite in direct combat.
What could that fragile little Electric-type possibly be thinking?
Even if Pikachu could somehow stop Dragonite's attack, its delicate body would certainly sustain severe injuries from the collision—it might even be knocked out instantly!
"This won't work! There's no other choice!"
"Mega Charizard X! Mega Sceptile! Mega Garchomp! Greninja! Jolteon!"
"Everyone use Giga Impact! Together with Pikachu, we're going to push that arrogant Dragonite back!"
"ROAAAAAR!"
Except for Pikachu, who had already committed to his collision course, all remaining team members followed their smallest teammate's lead. They gathered every ounce of their strength, channeling incredibly destructive energy throughout their bodies before launching themselves at Dragonite!
