2 Days Later
"huf huf huh" my legs burned and felt like they were filled with lead.
"your doing Great Levi!" she was Cheerful as ever, while i felt like i was burning up from the inside.
my hands settled on my knees, i was taking in deep breaths "ive improved quite a bit"
well ive improved about as much as the clouds in the sky, the weather just cant make up its mind if it wants to be warm and sunny or cold and rainny.
Sera handed me a bottle of water "Well you were in a coma for a few months, so its honestly a miracle that youve made the progress you have" She had her hair tied back in a ponytail.
i grabbed it, her hands were soft and cold, probably from the water bottle. Currently, it was windy on the small track, the trees swayed lightly "Do you think it'll rain today?"
She nodded, "seems likely, do you want to go in for the day?"
i let out a sigh and shook my head "The only way ill get stronger is by pushing myself, and training in bad climates or environments is another good way to train."
A frown took over her face "youll get sick, if you stay out when it starts to rain" she was defently worried for my safety and health.
i smilled at her "Whats the point in training at the hospital if im not going to get sick or hurt" and i didn't have time to waste.
"Levi, but you arent fully healed as is" she couldnt understand why i needed to get stronger, no one could.
"ill be fine" i took in one final deep breath of air, and started to run.
4 seconds
That was how long i could run before i could feel my lungs burning again.
at this rate the world would end before i even get the chance to save it, or have Leon save it.
I needed to keep going to push past the pain.
Darkness encroached on my vision.
my head hit the ground
"LEVI" i heard the sound of rapid footsteps.
someone was whispering something near me 'Accept the deal'
i pushed myself up, i needed to keep going
"Just Stop, this will only hurt your progress" something cold and wet hit my hand, i guess the clouds decided it wa going to rain today.
Sera grabbed my arm and lifted me up "come on we are going in"
she tugged at my arm towards the doors.
i knew she was right but i needed to become stronger.
i allowed myself to be dragged by Sera.
A few minutes later
We stepped into the hospital room
"you should rest Levi, you pushed yourself quite a bit today"
i sat down in one of the chairs "I could've kept going." The rain was pounding against the window now.
"Thank you" i hadnt said it enough to Sera, she helped me without asking for anything in return.
she looked over her eyebrows raised, "What for?" she looked genuinely confused.
"Youve helped me for 3 days without asking for anything" i was looking at the floor, my face burned.
"well i guess your welcome Levi" i looked over at her, and i feel like her smile could illuminate the entire room.
