At Rin's Home.
Four girls were sitting together, drinking and chatting.
The dishes on the table weren't particularly lavish, but they had already emptied two bottles of alcohol.
Suddenly, an untimely knock on the door rang out.
Rin got up to open it and found a tall figure standing outside.
Obito had grown quite a bit, now standing over 180 cm tall, so Rin had to tilt her head up to look at him.
"Good evening, Rin. Can I invite you to—" Obito seemed to have rehearsed his line, as he started speaking the moment the door opened.
But midway through his sentence, he suddenly sniffed the air and then asked in surprise, "Rin, have you been drinking?"
Rin stepped aside slightly, motioning for him to look into the living room, where Kurenai, Anko, and Shizune were sitting.
Scratching his head, Obito said, "Oh, so you're having a gathering. I guess I came at the wrong time."
Rin nodded. "Sorry, Obito, it's just us girls…"
Obito chuckled sheepishly. "No worries. Just don't drink too much—it's bad for your health. And before bed, keep a glass of water by your bedside."
"I got it. Thanks."
After politely brushing Obito off, Rin closed the door and returned to her seat.
"Who was it?" Shizune asked.
Kurenai chuckled and said, "At this hour, knocking on her door—who do you think?"
Shizune had a look of realization before sighing, "Obito sure is persistent… With someone so deeply devoted, Rin, you still won't accept him?"
Rin looked helpless. "I really don't have any feelings for him. I've told him countless times, but he just won't give up. I don't know what else to do, so I just let him be."
After some thought, Shizune asked, "Then… do you still like Kakashi?"
Resting her chin on one hand and holding a cup of alcohol in the other, Rin replied, "That was ages ago. Childhood feelings… I don't even see Kakashi that often anymore."
Shizune sighed. "What a pity. Kakashi didn't get a chance either. Back in school, I also thought he was pretty cool—though sometimes he could be really annoying."
Rin rolled her eyes at her.
Kurenai laughed. "Back then, all the girls at school thought Kakashi was cool."
Anko suddenly raised her hand. "Not me! I wasn't included in that."
"You weren't even in our year."
Shizune suddenly tapped her chin with a finger and said, "Hakumen was a year above us, right?"
"Yeah, Hakumen was also the top student in his year, but Kakashi's reputation completely overshadowed him."
"No wonder I barely remember him from back then."
Anko suddenly smirked mischievously. "Why? If you want to get to know Hakumen better, I can help set you up with him."
Shizune immediately yelped, "I didn't mean that!"
Her face was flushed red from the alcohol, and she waved her hands in protest. "I would never betray you guys and go fall in love!"
Kurenai couldn't help but tease, "Since when was falling in love considered a betrayal?"
The four of them were all quite attractive, yet somehow, not a single one of them had a boyfriend.
Shizune suddenly asked, "Isn't His Majesty around our age too? Which year was he in?"
Kurenai replied, "I saw some records before—he was in the same year as Hakumen. I think there were three Hyuga students in that cohort."
"Huh? His Majesty was in the same year as Hakumen? And Hakumen was actually the top student back then?"
"Academics don't determine future achievements."
"True."
Shizune rested her chin in her hands, her gaze turning dreamy.
"Sometimes, when I think about it, I get really curious about what it's like to be in love."
Anko, Rin, and Kurenai exchanged glances and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Do you have anyone in mind?" Kurenai asked with a teasing smile.
"I think Kakashi, Hakumen, Obito, Genma… they're all pretty good. If someone actually pursued me, I'd probably say yes."
"You sure are greedy."
"I was just giving examples!"
Shizune suddenly let out a sigh. "I'm almost twenty already, and I haven't even been in a relationship. Lady Tsunade has been single her whole life—what if I end up like her?"
Rin smiled playfully. "I'll go tell everyone tomorrow that you want to date. Maybe someone from the list you just mentioned is interested in you."
Hearing that, Shizune shrieked in embarrassment and pounced on Rin, playfully wrestling with her until Rin finally surrendered.
Anko watched them with amusement, the corners of her lips curling up.
Then, she suddenly said, "Actually, I just thought of a pretty good young guy. Shizune, interested?"
"Who?"
"A young guy?"
As soon as Anko said that, the other three girls immediately became interested and started asking questions.
"Uchiha Shisui, have you heard of him?"
"One of the two Uchiha in the Seven Crowns Guard?"
"Yeah, the older one of the two."
"But isn't he quite a bit younger than us?"
"Which means Shizune gets to take advantage of the situation."
Shizune, however, lost interest. "Forget it, I'm not into younger guys."
"He might be more mature than you, and he's incredibly strong. He has tons of fangirls right now."
"Still not interested."
Just then, another knock came from the door, forcing Rin to get up again.
Kurenai watched her leave and whispered to the others, "Do you think it's Obito again?"
"He just got sent away, didn't he?"
"Who knows."
"Obito is really persistent."
"Obito is really pitiful."
The three of them sneakily glanced toward the door.
However, before they could get a good look, they saw Rin step outside and shut the door behind her.
"She went out!"
Kurenai suddenly got up from her seat and tiptoed toward the entrance, pressing her ear against the door as if trying to eavesdrop.
But after a while of silence, she could only return to her seat in disappointment.
What they didn't know was that at that very moment, Rin was on the rooftop above them, passionately kissing a man.
Luckily, they were high up enough that no one would notice them in the darkness of the night.
Only after a long moment did they finally release each other, leaving Rin slightly out of breath.
"You taste like alcohol," Makoto commented.
Rin, annoyed, slapped away the hand he had slipped under her clothes.
"What were you all talking about?" Makoto asked, holding her close.
"Men."
"Oh? Did I come up?" he asked in surprise.
"Why would we talk about you? We were discussing handsome and cool men."
"Then you were definitely talking about me," Makoto grinned.
"You're so shameless."
The night breeze blew gently over them.
Rin wrapped her arms around Makoto's waist, resting her face against his chest.
They stayed like that for a moment before Rin finally let go. "Alright, I should head back."
"Just a little longer."
"Anko and the others are waiting for me. Go home and hug your wife instead."
Makoto could only sigh and let her go.
"Oh, by the way, I ran into Neji today," Rin mentioned.
"Really? Where?" Makoto asked casually.
"Over in the new district. That kid... he's pretty impressive. His mother must have raised him well."
"If you'd like, I could have him call you 'Mom' too," Makoto teased.
Rin scoffed at that. "Keep dreaming."
Seeing that she was about to leave, Makoto grabbed her arm again and pointed at his lips.
Rin glared at him but couldn't resist.
She leaned in, gave him a quick kiss, then turned and leaped off the rooftop.
Before re-entering the room, she took a moment to adjust her clothes.
Inside, Anko and the others were still seated, all looking at her with mischievous grins.
Trying to act natural, Rin smiled and asked, "What?"
Kurenai immediately interrogated her, "Be honest! Where did you sneak off to for so long?"
Shizune leaned in close and sniffed her exaggeratedly. "Report: smells like a man!"
Knowing they were just teasing, Rin laughed, "Oh, stop it."
Anko smirked mischievously. "Who's messing around? You actually snuck off behind our backs for a secret rendezvous. Punishment time!"
As soon as she finished speaking, the three of them pounced on Rin.
The room instantly filled with the joyful laughter of the girls.
