And then, a few days later, Pantano had a threat from one of its few enemies, the Kingdom of Vatrene. Vatrene, a kingdom east of Pantano and northeast of Ruslav, started raiding on Pantano's borders, causing chaos in most of its border villages and towns, which were small and almost defenseless. Because of that urgent threat, Josiah II called in Pantano's heroes in addition to sending an army to Vatrene's door. Unfortunately, almost all of the available heroes were busy and away in other parts of the continent, and the Wolken Party was not to be trusted. So, with no other option, Josiah II decided to summon heroes from another world for this, much to the shock of almost everyone in his court. Some objected to this, while others agreed to his suggestion. After all, it was rare for Pantano to summon heroes from another, with the last one having happened 50 years ago. But despite the objections, everyone else agreed and began calling priests to do the summoning call. And so, by 10:22 a.m., it happened, and a magical circle appeared as priests chanted and summoned magic to keep it running, hoping to summon someone from another world.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, a young man, with black hair and black eyes and was dressed in a blue and black, plain t-shirt, brown, light pants, and with a pair of neon green and light grey shoes with socks, was riding a jeepney in his hometown of Tacloban, Leyte, the Philippines on his way home after getting an early time off from work as a technician and electronics engineer. He was texting and typing a message to someone on his smartphone, as the traditional jeepney rattled along on the road. But then, a light magical circle surrounded him, and he was gone, alongside his backpack full of stuff and some technician's equipment, much to the shock of everyone on board, including the driver.
At the same time, a woman in a barangay within Tacloban, who had long, black hair, black eyes, and was dressed in a green t-shirt with fake shiny ornamentation glued on it, a pair of soft, pink pants, and wore a pair of light, red slippers made of durable rubber, was on her way home from a grocery shopping trip when the same magical circle that took the young man from a jeepney appeared below and around her, and she, too, disappeared from the world, leaving her plastic bag of groceries behind on the scene.
Then, back in Pantano in that world, these two young people were summoned to the presence of Josiah II and his court and priests. These two people, who were siblings, are Ormoc and Paulina, who were Basilio's older siblings.
