Cas' POV
One day, today was Wednesday, and I went to the military camp of Avgust to check on Ormoc and Paulina, whom we had summoned almost 3 weeks ago. There are these two under a tree nearby while having a conversation. What they were saying was out of my knowledge, but I went up to them and said, "Hello there, you two."
Ormoc and Paulina then looked at me.
"Oh, Mr. Cas…"
"Hi there!"
"How are you guys?" I replied back while standing in front of them.
"It's so tough," Ormoc responded while stretching his arms.
"Of course, we only had 5 days more before your mission would start."
"Yes, but we're doing fine despite the challenging training sessions," Paulina responded back while stroking her hair.
"That's good to hear," replied I positively, before sitting down next to them.
And then, Ormoc brought up a topic about their deceased younger sibling. "Huh? A dead sibling of yours?" I responded back with a question. Paulina then nodded while looking so melancholic. "Yes, his name was Basilio, and he was our beloved younger brother who died in a landslide months ago."
"Basilio was a happy and friendly person to everyone," added Ormoc with the same melancholic face as Paulina's.
That name…was Basilio's, and to come to think about it, their last name was Valencia, which Basilio happened to have. Wait, so that means…Basilio, the leader of the Forest Vamzoms, was their sibling?! If this were true, then Basilio is Basilio Valencia. So, I asked, "What age did he die?"
"17," responded Ormoc back with some grief and sadness.
I know that Basilio had mentioned his age to me before. But, instead of telling them that Basilio was alive in this world, I decided to keep it a secret and plan to throw a surprise reunion between Ormoc and Paulina once they are on their mission and calling. And so, I stood up and said to them, "Well, I'll be going now. Bye. Good luck on your training, you two."
As I walked away, Ormoc and Paulina said goodbye and thank you to me with positivity.
But little did they know that I would be throwing a surprise reunion scene for them.
Hours later, and tonight at the royal palace in Cinjutun, Josiah II asked me how are Ormoc and Paulina. "Both of them are doing fine, your majesty," I responded back with an honest report.
"Good, Cas," Josiah II said to me positively. "In just a few days, we'll be able to strike back against Vatrene more efficiently with our new heroes. I'll be sending a letter to Basilio about them-"
"W-Wait, sir! Don't revealed the names of our new heroes to him!"
"Why not?"
And in this situation, I whispered on Josiah II's right ear about Ormoc and Paulina being older siblings of Basilio. Because of that, Josiah II was surprised. "Are you sure about that?" I responded back with a positive nod. "Yes, I'm sure, your majesty."
"I see…I won't disclose their names then."
"Yes! Thank you, sir. I'll be setting their reunion scene."
Josiah II was surprised by my plan but agreed with that. "Okay, just do whatever you can to throw it."
"Yes, sir, it's in my control now."
With that, I left Josiah II's office, opening and closing the door with excitement. Basilio, you'll be shocked to hear this…soon…
