"Alright, just a short and sweet apology, Edward, you can do it," Edward said to himself as he stopped in front of the door to Ian's bedroom. He did not want to bother Angelica, he knew that she was a very busy woman.
He knocked on the door three consecutive times and stepped back waiting for a response.
When he heard no reply, he simply thought that maybe she had not heard the knocks, so he repeated the action again.
"Hmm, strange," he said to himself. "I will just let myself in then.".
"Angelica, my dearest Angelica..." he smiled, but the smile on his face was replaced with a look of confusion when he walked into an empty bedroom.
"Angelica," he called looking around. The room was empty. "I thought Ian said she would be here?" he asked himself.
Edward walked out of the room, on his way back to Ian's office he met one of the maids on the way.
"Greetings Lord Edward," the maid smiled.
"Greetings, what a lovely day it is today," Edward smiled.
"It certainly is," she smiled.
