Ohara finished brushing her hair. She placed her hairbrush on her dressing table and stood up. Today was a brand new day, she was starting to feel more like herself every new morning she woke up.
She walked out of her bedroom and smiled. She took a deep breath and walked down the stairs.
"You have overcooked the eggs yet again.".
"No, I did not, the skillet was far too hot by the time I poured the eggs in.".
"Lord Dariel is not going to like this at all, you know how he dislikes overcooked eggs and we no longer have eggs.".
"That is no problem at all, I will make something else for him," Ohara smiled as she walked into the kitchen. She had overheard the discussion between the maids.
The three maids turned and gasped as soon as they heard her voice. It was as if they had seen a ghost.
"What is with all the pale faces?" she chuckled.
"Oh, forgive me, my lady, but you surprised us," the eldest maid said.
