Angelica did not know why he was smiling like that, but as usual, it irritated her. She was not going to ask him why he was smiling that way simply because she did not wish to entertain whatever it was going on in his head.
"You know, I like what you just said. We are starting to make progress. You finally told me something that you do not like," he grinned.
Angelica was wondering if this man was serious? It was either he was very volatile or he had different personalities. One moment he could be so unforgiving and cold, the next he could be overbearing and nagging, and then he somehow managed to switch to a person who appeared harmless.
"I am being serious, it makes me happy," he said. "Moving on, I hope that this settles our argument. I will try my best to trust you, I only expect the same in return. That is only fair, is it not?".
"I agree, your highness.".
