Armaros walked ahead of the villagers behind him as they were being escorted by his family to the town of Xerxia, due to the destruction of their village as the damage done to them was massive.
Their crops were ruined and the lands were in very bad shape, not to mention that their cattles had also been killed or taken by the demons, leaving them with few of them. Their rations and other resources which they had kept safe had also been destroyed in the ensuing battle at the village.
Their population was also drastically decreased due to the demons, and were simply not enough for the village to function as it did in the past. And most Important of all was the fact that the villagers were very afraid of being attacked again.
They weren't strong enough to protect themselves against the demons, and due to the fact that they were staying in an area that is cut off from the larger towns, they couldn't get the help needed in time and this attack on their village had spooked them very much.
Many had lost their family and friends in the attack, and they didn't feel safe in the village anymore due to the demons and wished to move to the town of Xerxia to get better protection and had asked his clan to help them.
In response, his mother decided to create a portal to send them all to the town like they had asked, and so the people gathered whatever belongings they could take and with the rest of their crops and cattle, they left their village. It was evident to Armaros from their faces that they didn't like this decision, but they had to do so if they wanted to live and they didn't feel safe in their home anymore.
He had also given the sword from the village to his mother, stating that he didn't want it as it would draw too much attention and he felt that such a sword should be with the rest of his clan. While the sword was indeed powerful, it would also get th attention of the people and he didn't want that, so he wasn't sad about not having it.
The villagers were of course notified of it and they were more than happy with parting with the sword since it would now be in the hands of his descendants.
And now with the help of his mother's magic, a portal was created to travel to the town of Xerxia and he had followed the first knights, after which the rest of the villagers also passed through.
After everyone had gone through the portal, his sisters were then given steeds to ride, with Fleur and Valeria riding with Solana due to their age.
After that his mother stayed in front as she led the people to the town with her knights giving protection to the people as they moved as Armaros was just behind his family's steed as the villagers were behind him. He could already seen the town and he relaxed as they neared it, and he saw the guards that were at the entrance.
But after his mother sent a knight forward to inform them about who it was that was coming, the guards made sure to make way for them while also opening their gates fully so that they can get inside easily. He had also spotted his sisters glancing at him front time to time but he didn't make eye contact as he kept his eyes straight ahead.
Even before he passed through the gates of the town he could hear the noise of the people, and when he passed through the gates while looking at the awed expressions on the guards, he was fully able to see and hear the source of the noise.
The people of the town of Xerxia near the gate has gathered on each side and he could see them gathering further away as well. The expressions on the faces of the people were of awe, admiration and many more positive emotions, as their gaze was locked on the knights, and more so on his mother and sisters.
Of course, some of the towns people had noticed him behind them, but since he is well known in the town they didn't think much of it as they looked at the knights and his family. After the entire group had entered the town, his mother kept on going a bit more before she stopped and disembarked.
The town's chief, the guild master of this branch and the leader of this town's church alongside Chelsea were the group that were waiting for her alongside some knights as his sisters also disembarked as his mother talked with them.
Armaros meanwhile broke from the crowd and went towards Rhia who was at the side and was looking at him with a worried expression. He went towards her as his sisters were watching him discreetly.
"Armaros, wh-what happened? Why did you come with the... the Dawnbringer Clan and these people?" Rhia asked him as she went to him worried for him.
"The village was attacked and was damaged badly, but they came and saved the people that they could. The villagers decided that it was no longer safe to stay in their village due to the attack and so the clan decided to bring them here." Armaros said to her as her eyes widened.
"A-Attacked? Are you okay? You aren't seriously wounded, are you?" Rhia asked as she looked him over in a panic.
Armaros couldn't help but smile softly when she did that as he chuckled as she looked at him with incredulous eyes.
"I'm here worrying about you and you are chuckling? At least tell me that you are fine." Rhia said to him worried as she held her hand.
"I'm fine. I had healing potions with me and the armor helped. And since the Dawnbringer Clan came to help, it was safe. I'm not fatally injured or anything so you can relax." Armaros said to her with a smile as she let out a breath of relief.
"Thank the God of Light. I'm so glad that you're okay." Rhia said before she hugged him.
Armaros froze a bit when she did that as his face below the eyes was buried in her breasts as he felt her hand on his head as she was patting his head. He blushed a bit when he felt her breasts but he didn't fight her hold as pat her back to calm her down.
"I'm so glad that you're okay. I know, you should take some break from adventuring and stay in the city." Rhia said to him with a smile as she stopped the hug.
"I can't do that. I need to do my job so that I can get more money you know." Armaros said to her as he raised his eyebrow at her.
"But you just went through a horrible experience, you need to take it easy afterwards." Rhia said to him as she looked at him worried.
"I'm fine Rhia. I am more than ready to go on my job. Besides, I think doing more adventuring would help me get over the attack." Armaros said to her with a smile.
"You..." Rhia looked at him with a frown when she heard that.
As the two conversed, his sisters were looking at the way they were acting, and they were also able to hear their conversation. They bristled when she hugged him and pat his head, especially Claudia and Arianne as they had done that before while the younger ones remembered him patting their head in the past.
They felt anger at seeing her be so close to him, but they didn't voice it out, nor did they show it on their faces aside from frowning while Fleur and Valeria looked to the ground with anger visible in their eyes as the two crossed their arms and stood there as their mother talked with the people.
'I am the one who can pat his head, not you.' Claudia and Arianne thought to themselves as they frowned.
'Don't hug him like that.' Solana, Fleur and Valeria thought to themselves displeased as they stayed in place.
The sisters looked at the pair once more as their eyes glowed slightly as Rhia felt a shiver in her spine, causing her to look around in confusion and slight fear, though the sisters stopped looking at her as the receptionist was confused.
"You okay?" Armaros asked her at her odd behaviour.
"Yeah, just... You know what, forget it. It's not important, I'm just glad you're okay." Rhia said as she smiled at him.
"If you say so." Armaros said to her as he looked at her smiling face.
'Well, at least I know I'm safe here.' Armaros thought to himself as he silently let out a breath of relief.
