Two minutes ago—just as Thor found the little girl, Lucy…

Three cloaked aerial carriers appeared in the skies above Manhattan.

Watching the Chitauri flying chaotically on bizarre aircrafts and the Leviathan beasts cruising through the sky while constantly dropping more Chitauri soldiers, everyone aboard the helicarriers drew in a sharp breath.

But when they saw the superheroes engaging in battle, their expressions turned blank with shock.

At this very moment, the city had become a battlefield for superheroes.

What should they do now?

"Everyone!" Nick Fury's voice rang out. He stood calmly, addressing the stunned agents at the command center. "This is not the time to freeze! We're not here to stand around!"

Everyone snapped back to attention.

Nick Fury then commanded in a firm voice, "Attack! Open fire with everything we've got! Target: the space portal!"

The firepower of three helicarriers might be enough to suppress or at least alleviate the current situation temporarily. Hopefully, the others would free themselves up soon, or the military would arrive on the battlefield in time.

With Nick Fury's command, all weaponry aboard the three helicarriers turned toward the space portal.

Bullets and missiles rained down.

Boom! Boom!

Explosions echoed non-stop, a massive cloud of fire completely engulfing the space beneath the portal.

In a matter of seconds, the number of Chitauri pouring in was halved.

But the attack revealed the helicarriers' positions—making them the new targets of the Chitauri.

The Chitauri on flying vehicles were manageable; the helicarriers, as airborne fortresses, could easily handle these small fry.

But when a Leviathan beast began swimming toward them, everyone aboard the carriers looked grim.

Just then, Thor descended from the sky, spinning Mjolnir. Landing atop the Leviathan, he let out a fierce roar and slammed the hammer down with thunderous might.

BOOM!

Lightning pierced through the Leviathan's body. Dazzling arcs of electricity wrapped around it, destroying it and electrocuting the Chitauri soldiers on its back.

Thor then threw Mjolnir.

Whoosh!

The hammer blasted through the Leviathan's skull, then, guided by Thor's will, returned to his hand.

With a pained wail, the Leviathan plummeted from the sky.

Thor gave Mjolnir a casual spin and, under the stunned gaze of the helicarrier crew, soared toward a high-rise next to the portal. Raising his hammer, he summoned a storm of thunder and lightning, helping the helicarriers seal off the portal.

Seeing this, Nick Fury clenched his fist and pumped it down.

He knew it!

That man Thor, the one living in the McKenna household, was no ordinary person!

Meanwhile, Mike also saw the battle near the portal. Watching Thor wield the thunderstorm and work alongside Fury's helicarriers to hold the line, a smile formed on his face.

He still has time to smile?!

The four Kryptonians fighting Mike grew visibly agitated. They were already frustrated from being unable to defeat him—now the grin on his face only worsened their mood.

They had never expected that even with four of them, they couldn't take down one Mike.

Kryptonian combat was straightforward:

Strength, speed, defense, and hand-to-hand combat.

If you surpassed someone in those areas, you were stronger—simple as that.

Their power levels depended not only on their potential but also on how long they had been absorbing solar energy.

And compared to them, Mike and Clark had definitely been soaking up solar energy far longer.

So in every aspect, Mike outclassed them. While not to the point of crushing them, he was more than capable of easily defeating any one of them in a one-on-one fight.

Now, it was only by combining forces that the four could barely fight him to a standstill.

This was something they never anticipated before coming here.

They hadn't expected another Kryptonian on Earth besides Kal-El.

Boom!

Mike parried a blow from one of them and sent him flying. He then casually dodged a vicious roundhouse kick from Cook, grabbed his ankle mid-air, and flung him aside before his heat vision could fire.

Cook stabilized mid-air, stopped one of his allies, then pointed toward the helicarriers and Thor. "Go. Deal with them!"

If they could hold off the local superheroes, the Chitauri would be responsible for wiping out Earth's military forces.

But now that the space portal was blocked again, and the Chitauri could no longer pour in endlessly, Earth's odds of winning this war would steadily increase with time.

That was something they couldn't allow to happen.

A female Kryptonian nodded, paused briefly, then blasted off toward the helicarriers with a sonic boom.

Logically speaking, those three firepower-heavy beasts would be easier to deal with.

Seeing the movement, Mike slipped back a step, disengaging from Eve and another Kryptonian. Looking at the three remaining enemies, he said with a slight smirk, "Looks like you're out of backup."

If they'd had a trump card, they would've used it by now—especially against him, the only one who remained undefeated.

Taking him down would've ended this battle decisively.

Yet instead of unleashing some secret weapon, they chose to pull one of their four away to deal with Thor and the helicarriers—even at the risk of losing this fight.

That confirmed it.

They had no backup.

And Mike had been putting on a show for nothing.

He had originally planned to play along, baiting them into revealing their last resort before finishing them off—just to avoid trouble if they tried to escape and retaliate later.

Now it seemed he'd acted for no reason.

As for the threat to the helicarriers?

Clark, who was already rushing over, should be able to intercept that Kryptonian.

It looked like Clark had finally shaken off his "fellow countrymen" and was making his way to the battlefield.

Then it's time... to end this war.

Mike's blue eyes sharpened for the first time since the fight began.

"Backup? Hah!"

Eve sneered. "Why would we need that? We're about to win!"

Cook and the others chuckled coldly.

Right now, only Mike—and at most, Kal-El—could stop them.

As for the rest of the Kryptonian battles, they were already nearing victory.

Kryptonian Ramm was overwhelming Hulk and Logan. In a few moments, they'd be dead.

Another Kryptonian, Lanm, who was fighting Red Hulk and the others, was also on the verge of victory.

In the sky, Renee was clashing with Magneto and had already seized the upper hand.

Once either of the Ramm brothers finished their fight, they would help the others—snowballing into a full-blown advantage and eventually taking Mike down together!

Mike knew exactly what they were thinking.

"Heh," he chuckled. "Sorry to disappoint you."

Because before the superheroes could be defeated—or worse, killed—these three would be the ones saying goodbye to this world.

As Mike spoke, the three Kryptonians snorted and charged at him.

Mike stood his ground. Cards appeared in his hand.

Name: Borsalino, a.k.a. Kizaru

Description: Admiral of the Navy HQ. Possesses the Logia-type Devil Fruit: Glint-Glint Fruit.

Note: 'Oh dear, how scary~'

The card dissolved into glowing light. A man wearing a yellow-striped suit, a marine cloak, and a mysterious smile appeared as a shimmering projection behind Mike.

In the next moment, as the projection merged with Mike's body, three more cards turned into motes of light and vanished.

Name: Kryptonite Spear

Description: A spear forged from Kryptonite.

Note: Sponsored by Batman, with love.

Yes—Kryptonite spears.

Anticipating the appearance of Kryptonians, Mike had naturally prepared in advance.

Originally, he had tried to manifest pure Kryptonite, but it wasn't categorized as a "weapon." So he experimented with manifesting Kryptonite spears—and it worked.

And now, it was time to put them to use.

The three Kryptonians punched forward, their fists landing cleanly—only to pass straight through Mike's body.

They froze.

Just then, three Kryptonite spears appeared in Mike's hands.

Instantly, the Kryptonians felt something was wrong. Their powers began to fade rapidly.

Mike smiled through the discomfort, golden light swirling around his arms as he swiftly thrust the spears forward.

Splurt!

Each of the Kryptonians had a spear driven into their chest.

They stared at Mike in disbelief, eyes wide like they'd seen a ghost.

Mike shrugged. "Told you you'd be disappointed."

With that, the three collapsed.

Triple Kill!

Their hearts pierced by Kryptonite spears, survival was impossible.

Mike placed a hand on each of them, storing their bodies in his dimensional pouch, then looked toward the battlefield.

A card appeared in his hand.

In a flash, he vanished—reappearing in the middle of Hulk, Logan, Wanda, and Sabretooth's battle.

The group was struggling to fend off Ramm's assault.

If not for Wanda pushing her powers to the limit, they would've been finished by now.

Mike's sudden arrival startled both sides.

Joy spread across Logan's face.

"Hmph!"

Ramm threw a punch toward Logan's face.

What a time to let your guard down!

But just as the punch was about to land, Mike stepped in front of Logan and caught Ramm's fist.

"Hey," Mike smiled at Ramm. "Goodbye."

Ramm's expression shifted, and when he saw the Kryptonite spear appear in Mike's hand, his face changed completely.

Splurt!

The spear pierced his heart.

Ramm's eyes bulged in pain.

Deprived of his powers, he was no different from a normal human—and being stabbed in the heart meant death was imminent.

Everyone stood stunned.

That easy?

What was that weapon?

Mike calmly smiled. As Ramm's head drooped lifelessly, he stored him in the pouch.

Quadra Kill!

He nodded at Logan's group and vanished once more.

"Who is he?" Wanda asked in shock.

Logan grinned. "He's the turning point of this war."

Mike next appeared on Red Hulk's battlefield—and in their shocked stares, finished off Kryptonian Lanm.

Penta Kill!

He hugged Raven gently, then activated another card and disappeared—this time to Erik's aerial battlefield.

A sea of metal floated in the sky.

Erik stood atop it like a silent monarch, the metal constantly shifting to defend against Renee's attacks.

Though she was small and delicate, Renee's every move churned massive waves in the metal sea.

When Mike appeared, her laughter stopped.

"You… weren't you being held off by Cook and the others? How did you—"

She trailed off. Realization dawned.

Fear appeared in her eyes.

"Looks like you figured it out," Mike said flatly.

Renee turned and fled.

But Erik raised his hand. The metal sea responded like a living creature, binding her. Storm, off to the side, hurled a lightning bolt that didn't do much—but she tried.

"Get out of my way!" Renee's heat vision flared, her innocent face twisted in panic.

Mike's appearance meant Cook and the others were gone.

And anyone capable of taking down multiple Kryptonians alone—she stood no chance.

Escape.

That was her only thought.

But thoughts don't always become reality.

Just as she was ensnared by the metal, Mike appeared beside her and kicked her in the head.

She tried to block but was sent flying into a wave of metal. Before she could recover, Mike appeared in her path and thrust a card forward.

It vanished in a flash of light—replaced by a Kryptonite spear.

Splurt!

She crashed into it. The spear pierced her heart.

"Ahhh!"

She screamed, body twitching in the air. Her eyes widened at the green spearhead sticking out of her chest, then slowly closed.

Hexa Kill! You are godlike!

Mike casually stored her body in the dimensional pouch, nodded at Erik—who had caught him with metal—and silently mouthed a few words.

As Erik smiled, Mike vanished in a burst of light.

Only one Kryptonian left.

But when Mike arrived, he found the last female Kryptonian… in a sorry state.

She was getting tag-teamed by Thor and Clark.

Two men against one woman? Really?

Mike gave the two a judgmental look—then blurred forward into the fray.
