"Thinking about William?"
Luna stopped smiling immediately. How had she let herself do that in front of him? "No."
"Don't lie to me."
He seemed to be a bit upset,
She swallowed, and her mind worked out how to salvage the situation: "What do you want me to say?"
"The truth."
"I am telling the truth." She let out lowly.
"You should know something, Luna."
"Yes?"
"I'm watching you two."
Luna felt beyond uncomfortable, watching them. That made her skin crawl. "For what?"
"I told you, you're mine."
She shook her head quickly, "I'm not, and I refuse."
Ace tilted his head. "You're lucky that I'm just watching."
"What do you mean?" she asked, alarmed at his words.
"As I said."
"But your words are implying to something more."
"Such as?"
Luna did not want to give him any ideas. "Never mind."
"Tell me."
Luna needed to know what head space he was in and what head space she wanted him to be in. "This has to stop, Sir."
Ace looked at her without giving away any emotion, "You don't tell me to stop."
So he can do as he pleases, and she can't ask for boundaries. "I'm not telling you, I'm asking you, actually I'm begging you, can't you just leave me alone?"
Ace seemed to be conflicted. "I don't know why I can't."
Luna needed to set a hard line, she was tired of this man breathing down her neck all the time.
"I'm not letting William go."
He tilted his head in a manner that chilled her, "I can make him disappear."
Luna's eyes widened. "You wouldn't."
His gaze was dead set. "You don't know me, Luna, and what lengths I would go to."
Luna felt a hot surge of anger creeping into her at the same time. "I won't come to you then, I would not forgive it if you did something to him. I swear to you, Ace, you would never have me."
"Then convince me."
Convince him what? She was not going to give him more ground in her life. That he could come back anytime and do whatever he wanted because she was afraid.
"I can't convince you to be a decent human being."
"What did you say to me, Luna?"
"Exactly what I said. Where are your morals? I'm not going to try to convince you." If she bent to his will this once, then his demands would start being too ridiculous as time went by.
Ace took a step towards her, but she jumped back, she couldn't help herself, and sighed inwardly, that took her a billion steps back.
"Don't move."
Luna could not do this, and she dashed back inside, not caring what he would do to her later. So many eyes were on her.
The night progressed, and as she served them, it seemed as if Ace was searching for her eye contact, and she refused to indulge him.
She set his plate down and felt him grab her wrist and kept her low,
"We will finish this later." He whispered in her ear.
Luna pulled back and scurried back to the other servers, she could see that they were all looking at her weirdly.
She didn't care; as long as she was away from Ace, that was all she needed.
"Trouble?"
"You saw it?"
"Yes, I mean I do watch you all the time," Nora replied.
"Seriously?"
"I mean, I'm not the only one, Luna."
"Huh?"
"You seem to make more enemies as time goes by."
"That is not my fault."
Nora nodded. "What happened?"
She turned to Nora, "He won't let me go."
"He changed his mind again."
"Yes."
"I knew it," Nora replied.
"You did?"
"What happened outside?"
Luna told Nora everything that had happened and how she had escaped.
"I think he likes you."
"No Nora, he just wants me in bed."
"No, it's not that. He feels something for you."
Luna rolled her eyes. "He is not capable of that, just a stalker at this point."
"Look."
Luna followed Nora's gaze and found Ace gazing at her with so much darkness, lust, and something else.
"He is making me shiver."
"How do you think I feel, Nora?"
Nora also seemed disturbed, "He is obsessed with you Luna."
