Chapter 181 - 181. Unstoppable Wendy

Thanks to Alex, the whole arena is now full of molten Lava. His lava is so hot that the ground below it is also melting. The heat forces the audience to evacuate from the stadium quickly.

As for Alex, he needs to fix this mess. But instead of removing the molten lava, he actually spreads it to every corner of the arena. Then he cools it down with Isobu's water, turning it into a solid hard lava rock floor.

Then with Shukaku's Earth Release, he hardens the lava rock by compressing it. It shrinks significantly after being compressed, so Alex puts sand above the lava rock and hardens it too until it looks like how it originally was.

Though because of this, the floor has become very hard. Alex is sure that it won't break like when Natsu and Gajeel fought Sting and Rogue in the series. Maybe if he and Jura go all-out, then they will be able to break this floor.

Alex and Jura weren't really going all-out in their match. It wasn't that they didn't want to fight seriously, but they couldn't. If they fight all-out, then this whole stadium or even this whole city will get destroyed.

It's not like Alex could use the same level of power he used to fight Acnologia here. They didn't want to kill anyone, so they only used the necessary power to fight. That's why their match was based more on skills than power.

Even so, the power they showed in their match was still incredible. Their attacks could make this arena floor collapse anytime. But thanks to their use of Earth Magic, they unintentionally reinforced the ground instead of breaking it and now Alex reinforces it even further.

The 2nd day of the Grand Magic Games finally comes. Fairy Tail Team A arrives at the stadium, but something is different. Levy is not there. Instead, there's Gajeel in her place.

Levy can't continue participating in this tournament. Last night, she suddenly felt unwell and when Porlyusica checked her, it was found that she is pregnant. Everyone was stunned, especially Gajeel, the one responsible for it.

But they were very concerned for Levy's and the fetus's health because of her participation in the tournament's 1st event. Fortunately, she wasn't getting hit by anyone's attack in the Hide and Seek game, so nothing happened to her and the fetus.

Everyone was very relieved, especially Team A that didn't send Levy on the 1st battle round because it could be very dangerous for her. So Alex quickly decided to retire Levy and replaced her with Gajeel.

As the one responsible for causing Levy in her current condition, Gajeel also needs to take the responsibility of replacing her in the tournament. Gray who has hoped a lot to be picked could only slump in defeat with such a reason.

So now, Fairy Tail Team A has a different formation. But it's not just them who change a member. Quatro Cerberus also replaced Warcry who surprisingly got injured quite badly with Bacchus.

On the other hand, Sabertooth doesn't have any change in their formation, but the atmosphere in their booth is very different. They look grim and serious with Orga looking very down. He seems to have more injuries than what his battle with Laxus caused.

Because of Levy's pregnancy matter, Alex couldn't spy on Sabertooth last night as he planned. He wanted to know what Jiemma would do after Orga's defeat. Seeing Orga's condition, he can guess that while Jiemma didn't excommunicate Orga, Jiemma still gave Orga some beatings because of his defeat.

Alex wonders of the reason why Jiemma didn't expel Orga even though he did it to Yukino and later planned to expel Sting and Rogue too, but failed because Sting defeated him out of anger after he "killed" Lector, making him the one expelled instead.

Right now, Alex thinks that maybe it's because Fairy Tail is still known as one of the strongest Guilds in Fiore, not the forever last place like in the series when the S-Classes were trapped in Tenrou Island. They are actually the most favorite to win this year, especially with Alex there, and he is right, it is the main reason.

Because of Fairy Tail's well-known power, Jiemma makes a compromise when his members lose to Fairy Tail and other Guilds that have won the tournament at least once before. But he only gave his members 2 chances.

If they lose twice, he'll expel them, even if their opponent is Jura the Wizard Saint or Alex who could defeat Jura. That's why Orga only got some beatings. It was a punishment and also an example for the other members of what they would get if they lost.

Jiemma is too obsessed with being on top and he wanted Sabertooth to be the best too. He taught Minerva to be the best too and he would beat her up when she was still very young if she couldn't meet his expectations, molding her personality to be as extreme as him.

Well, it's not Alex's concern now. He sure hates Jiemma, but he won't do anything as long as that old man doesn't try to hurt his friends. Sabertooth needs to step up for themselves if they want to change their Guild.

Right now, Alex wants to focus on the 2nd day's game. The announcer tells them that it's a game named Chariot, the same game as in the series. Everyone quickly realizes that as its name suggests, it's a game that involves vehicles, so it must be a race game.

They discuss who will participate and quickly make decisions. Fairy Tail B sends Laxus despite Natsu's whine to play. They don't want to risk losing this game by sending someone with motion sickness when this game involves vehicles.

Sabertooth sends Orga, different from the series. Other teams send the same people though. Bacchus from Quatro Cerberus, Risley from Mermaid Heel, Ichiya from Blue Pegasus, and Yuka from Lamia Scale. Heaven's Runners sends Sawyer, also known as Racer.

The most surprising is Fairy Tail Team A who sends Wendy. Those who know 1st Gen Dragon Slayer's motion sickness are dumbfounded by this decision. They don't know what the team thinks when sending Wendy.

But they don't care much if a team wants to forfeit like this. They are more than happy to have less competitors. Too bad this won't go as easily as that because Alex has a strong reason to send Wendy to this game.

Wendy shows why she is chosen to participate in this game as soon as the game starts. The race starts and everyone starts running on the moving chariots that connect to each other, or so they are planning to.

To everyone's surprise, they suddenly fall on their knees with pale expressions right when they are about to take off. They suddenly get severe motion sicknesses and some of them even vomit everything they ate.

The audience is dumbfounded by this sudden turn of event. Their cheers even stop because they are surprised and confused. Then all of a sudden, someone moves past the fallen participants at a very high speed.

It's Wendy who now runs without any obstruction on her way. Even the commentators and referee are shocked by this. The one who should have motion sickness is running while the others without such a problem fall because of motion sickness.

Alex smirks seeing this because this is their strategy from the beginning. Wendy has learned a lot of different buff and even debuff spells since she joined Fairy Tail much earlier than in the series.

She was under Alex's care for a long time, so he always taught her how to develop her power. Learning more buff and even debuff spells were one of his ideas. So she learned a lot and thanks to Alex preventing her from being frozen in time for 7 years, she could learn a lot more abilities.

One of her debuff spells is this motion sickness spell. She can cure people's motion sicknesses, and by learning the opposite, she can give them motion sickness too. That is what she does as soon as the game starts.

Wendy has applied the motion sickness cure spell on her before the race started. It wasn't against the rule because she doesn't use it on others. That's why she is fine on the moving chariots and can run normally.

She even uses her Wind Magic to propel herself forward and move at a very high speed. Her motion sickness spell lasts for quite a long time and they can't dispel it because they can't control their magic power while being sick like that.

In the end, Wendy reaches the finish line before anyone can recover. Then out of pity, she dispels her debuff spell, so the others stop having motion sickness. Now, the race can continue, but all of them feel miserable to be pitied just to be able to continue the race properly.
