As they say, both Alex and Jura really start their fistfight. Mages often fight using their punches and kicks like non-Mages, but Mages can make their physical attacks significantly stronger by using their magic to enhance them.
In Alex's case, his physical power has already gotten much stronger the moment he uses his Take Over Magic to transform while Jura will need to use his spells to strengthen his body and physical attacks.
Jura's use of magic to strengthen his body isn't visible to normal eyes, but Alex can see the raging magic power in Jura's body. He couldn't see such a thing in the past, but now he can see it thanks to his Rinnegan.
'That sure is a lot of magic to strengthen his body. It's higher than Laxus's maximum magic strengthening. As expected, the current Jura is much stronger than his version in the series during this Grand Magic Games Arc. Laxus could match him even after being frozen for 7 years in the story. But just from their magic power quantities, Laxus doesn't even have half of Jura's magic power.'
In the series, Laxus lost 7 years to train while Jura could keep growing. Yet they became equal in just a few months after Laxus returned. However, in this timeline, Jura is much stronger than Laxus, at least in terms of their magic power.
It even surpasses Makarov and not too far from Gildarts. That means Jura has worked very hard in the last 7 years, greatly surpassing his version in the series. He might even have more magic power than when he fought God Serena in the series.
Knowing a threat that could even kill the strongest Mage in the continent really motivated a lot of Mages to get stronger. In Jura's case, losing one of his good friends, Alex, was also a great motivation for him to get even stronger and break his limits.
Now the only thing left is his skills to use that incredible amount of magic power, which Alex doesn't need to worry about because just a moment later, he finds out the answer.
Both of them send a punch at each other with their right hand. The punches clash and to Alex's surprise, he is losing the clash of power. His Guild Mates are also very surprised seeing Alex's fist get thrown back because no one in the Guild, not even Gildarts could do it.
While Alex is still in shock, Jura sends another punch, now with his left hand. He punches Alex on the face diagonally from above, slamming Alex to the ground with a very strong force.
It's so strong that when Alex falls, the ground cracks and a big dent is created by the impact. Everyone is surprised and awed by the power of that punch. It's a punch befitting someone with a Wizard Saint title.
The audience gets even more awed by what happens next. Many Mages would've been defeated already by such a punch. Yet Alex stands up easily while spitting a little blood from his mouth caused by that punch.
His right cheek that got punched is cracking and seems to break. People are surprised to know that there's a thick layer of sand above Alex's mini Shukaku body that protects him from that punch. It broke, but it protected Alex's real body, and he can fix it easily with sand.
"That was a very heavy punch. Are you wearing weights?" Alex asks while repairing his sand armor.
"Weights? No. I couldn't move that fast if I used weights, right?" Jura answers with questions.
"You could, if your physical strength is off the chart. But if you don't use weights..... You, you can change your weight?" Alex's face becomes very serious and when Jura smirks, he can't help but click his tongue.
"Shouldn't you be happy? You were the one who thought that Earth Magic might be able to change weights. I thought it was impossible because it should be Gravity Magic's concept. But I found a way to use Earth Magic to increase and decrease my body mass's density, making me heavier or lighter depending on how much mass I manipulate. So it was all thanks to you." Jura grins while explaining.
In the past, when Alex and Jura talked, Alex just blurted out that maybe Earth Magic could be used to manipulate weights. He only said it because he remembered Tsuchikage's jutsu to manipulate weights that allowed the old small man to fly.
It was just a random talk, so he never thought that Jura would actually work on it and succeed. That punch was so heavy which increased Jura's attack power greatly. Average Mages' heads would've exploded if they got hit by that.
Even Alex thinks that his Mini Shukaku form can't match Jura's heavy attacks, so he transforms into the mini Son Goku form. Son Goku's arms are big and long, but his legs are short, so Alex will be slow on his feet in exchange for much stronger punches.
He throws a punch again and so is Jura. Their punches hit each other and now Alex isn't losing. Both of them are equal and even push each other, surprising Jura who has increased his punch's weight to maximum.
"Such a cheat. You just need to transform into another beast to match my heaviest punch." Jura smiles awkwardly.
"But you forced me to stop using Shukaku's power."
They just talk shortly before throwing punches at each other again.
"MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA!" Alex changes his shout to Dio's shout now, which means Useless, and he really means it. Jura's punches are now useless against him in his mini Som Goku form because he can counter all of them perfectly.
Their attacks pass through once in a while, but they can parry those attacks on time before hitting their bodies and when those attacks are aimed at their faces, they simply tilt to dodge.
That is until Alex deliberately lets a punch hit his face. It distracts Jura, so Alex's punch also manages to hit Jura's face. Their punches send both of them flying to the wall, breaking it even though it has been enhanced greatly.
Alex comes out from the rubble first with a grin. "That was heavier. But it was still not enough to take down the Great Sage."
What Alex means by Great Sage is one of Son Goku's or Sun Wukong's monikers, the Great Sage, Heaven's Equal. After all, Son Goku's character was inspired by Sun Wukong from the myth, whose name is Son Goku in Japan.
Jura also comes out of the rubble. He doesn't sustain that much damage too, only nosebleed and cracked nose like Alex. Though the earth mask of his earth armor is shattered, he can remake it again easily.
"You really are tough. None of the Wizard Saints could take that punch in the face once and only get nosebleed. Yet you took it twice and don't seem hurt at all."
Jura has used that very heavy punch in his spars with the Wizard Saints and all of them received much more significant injuries than just a nosebleed. At the very least, their bones would crack or even break.
Even Makarov in his giant form got his middle finger bone broken when clashing punches with this attack of Jura. That truly shows how strong Jura has become, but it also shows how powerful and durable Alex is.
"Don't lump me with a bunch of old men and old women who have passed their prime ages. I was called The Beast King for a reason."
Ur's face twitched when Alex mentioned old women because she knows he talks about her. She is a Wizard Saint too, after all. Makarov also seems pissed even though he knows Alex has surpassed him by now, Ur also feels the same.
It's just that the way he says it is very annoying, making them swear in their hearts to teach him some lessons later. They don't say anything, but Alex shivers down his spine, as if he has just felt incredible bloodlust.
Anyway, their battle continues and now they use combinations of close and long range attacks using physical attacks and magic spells. Alex uses Son Goku's signature element, lava, the combination of earth and fire element.
His Lava Release has significant advantages over Jura's Earth Magic. Jura's rock wall melts quickly when blocking Alex's Lava projectiles. Even his Earth Magic attacks like the rock fist or flying boulders also melt after Alex covers them with really hot lava.
Soon, the arena is almost fully covered in molten lava. The heat makes the audience in front rows move away. They can still feel the intense heat in back rows, but it's better than the front rows.
With such a great disadvantage, Jura quickly runs out of options because all of his attacks are melted and he can't move around freely either with so much lava on the floor.
While he thinks of a way to handle the lava, Alex suddenly jumps onto him. As Son Goku, Alex isn't affected by the lava and can step on it without any problem. So he dashes at Jura and jumps onto him, pushing him down onto the floor that has no lava on it.
"I surrender." Pinned down by Alex with no option to fight back or escape, Jura finally surrenders, giving the victory to Alex.
