Chapter 315: The Evil-Eyed Tyrant Sovereign

Yang Potian ventured alone into the Demon Forest, the Evil Emperor's domain and future stronghold of the dark spirit masters. The forest was rich with spirit beasts of all kinds, including some species long extinct in the Star Dou Forest.

As Yang Potian walked through the Demon Forest, his demeanor was relaxed, as if he were an ordinary person on a casual stroll. The spirit beasts around him instinctively parted in his presence, deterred by an invisible force.

Yang Potian approached the depths of the forest cautiously, fully aware of the Evil Emperor's power. Mental-type spirit beasts like the Evil Emperor were exceptionally dangerous, elusive, and notoriously hard to kill. Yang Potian knew that if he couldn't eliminate this spirit beast in a single strike, it would undoubtedly hide among humans, making it nearly impossible to track down again.

When he reached the heart of the Demon Forest, Yang Potian sensed that he was no longer in reality. Everything around him seemed vivid and lifelike, but lacked the aura of living things; the surroundings felt artificial, almost like a separate realm.

Realizing he was in an illusion, Yang Potian scoffed, shattering the first illusion with ease. However, another layer of illusion remained; the forest dissolved, replaced by an empty void. A cold smile crossed Yang Potian's face as he unleashed his aura, breaking through the second layer of illusion. The surroundings reverted to the real Demon Forest.

Yang Potian sneered. "Using a double-layered illusion against me? You underestimate me."

As the illusions faded, Yang Potian finally saw his adversary: a massive eye, surrounded by enormous tentacles that seemed to span the sky. This was indeed the Evil Emperor, who had attempted to repel Yang Potian by trapping him in the double illusion.

Surprised, the Evil Emperor had not expected anyone to dispel his double illusion. His enormous eye blinked, analyzing the figure before him. Despite the intimidating blood-red greatsword on Yang Potian's back, he showed no fluctuations in spirit power—a quality that defied expectations for a powerful spirit master, let alone a Titled Douluo.

A deep voice echoed, resonating in the air: "Who are you? Why have you intruded into the depths of my Demon Forest? Are you one of my followers?"

Yang Potian replied with a cold smile. "You must be the Evil Emperor, the 700,000-year-old Evil-Eyed Tyrant Sovereign, leader of the Evil-Eyed Clan."

The voice returned, piercing to the soul. "Indeed, I am. What business do you have with me?"

"It's quite simple, really. I need a mental-type spirit ring, and your age and strength are suitable, so I came to find you."

The Evil Emperor's tone grew hostile. "Bold words, human! Do you realize I am the Sun-Moon Empire's totem spirit, its spiritual leader? I have aided them countless times."

Yang Potian nodded calmly. "True, you are indeed a model of peace between humans and spirit beasts. I almost feel reluctant to kill you. I'll give you a chance: if you sacrifice yourself to me, I'll promise to revive you when I become a god."

The Evil Emperor laughed scornfully. "Arrogant mortal! I am the Evil Emperor, ruler among spirit beasts!"

"Perhaps," Yang Potian countered, "but by my reckoning, you're not even as strong as the Black Dragon King Di Tian or the Deep Sea Demon Whale King. You're likely only the third strongest among them."

The Evil Emperor's massive eye narrowed with interest. "You—a mere human—know of Di Tian and the Deep Sea Demon Whale King? Are you from the Douluo Continent?"

Yang Potian raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "It's strange that you know of Di Tian and the Demon Whale King. How did you come into contact with them?"

"From what I understand," he continued, "Di Tian once traveled across the Douluo Star, attempting to unite all spirit beasts. Did he reach out to you then?"

The Evil Emperor fell silent, as if weighing his next words. After a long pause, he replied, "Human, although I cannot discern your full strength, you will not take my spirit ring or my spirit bone."

"Now that's more like it," Yang Potian said, his eyes flashing with intent. "I was beginning to feel guilty about killing you if you didn't at least fight back."

As soon as Yang Potian spoke, a dazzling white beam shot from the Evil Emperor's massive eye, illuminating the entire area. The beam hurtled toward Yang Potian, its power intense and almost palpable. He could sense that this attack held a terrifying destructive force capable of injuring even an Ultimate Douluo.

But Yang Potian remained unfazed. Narrowing his eyes, he unleashed a blood-red aura that clashed with the Evil Emperor's white light, dividing the space between them into two distinct halves—one red, one white.

This was Yang Potian's Asura Domain, a god-level domain far superior to the Evil Emperor's mental energy. As the red and white auras collided, their clashing energies created tremors, as if the heavens and earth themselves were splitting apart.

Yang Potian nodded in appreciation. "Not bad. Your mental domain is nearly on par with an Ultimate Douluo's and is stronger in some aspects. What a pity."

With that, his head emitted a flash of crimson light. This was the ability granted by his head spirit bone: Blood Ripple, a powerful mental assault. The crimson light clashed with the white beam, and the resulting explosion shook the entire dimension.

After exchanging just one move, both combatants found themselves evenly matched. Yang Potian felt a faint trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth—an unfamiliar sensation after achieving the rank of Ultimate Douluo. It had been a long time since he'd sustained even a minor injury.

Across from him, the Evil Emperor's massive eye was also bleeding, blood vessels ruptured from the intense mental impact. In terms of spiritual strength, they were closely matched, neither gaining a decisive advantage.

"You're a mental-type spirit beast, and I'd rather not rely on physical power to overwhelm you," Yang Potian remarked. "Let's see whose domain and mental power are stronger."

With that, he channeled a blood-red light from his eyes, forming a crimson spear midair. This was Yang Potian's seventh technique from his newly developed Soul-Breaking Spear series: Oblivion, inspired by the Asura Domain itself. The crimson spear pulsed with overwhelming destructive energy, as if it would erase everything it touched.

As the blood-red spear shot forward, it radiated a powerful mental shockwave, accompanied by a blinding crimson light and a thunderous boom that resonated like a cosmic law. In the aftermath, silence fell, as though the world itself were dissolving.

The Evil-Eyed Tyrant Sovereign, recognizing the spear's devastating force, unleashed his most potent move. A beam of pure annihilation shot from his colossal eye, directly intercepting Yang Potian's attack.
