Chapter 379 - Chapter 379: The Benefits of Repairing the Spatial Wormhole

Chapter 379: The Benefits of Repairing the Spatial Wormhole

The somber voice from the sky immediately caught everyone's attention on the street, and a flurry of exclamations followed.

"Isn't that the ancestor of the Luo family?"

"He actually came in person? It seems he really cares deeply for that Miss Luo."

"Heh, looks like there's going to be some excitement today."

Amidst the crowd's astonishment, the two elders—one in gray and one in white—were also shocked upon seeing the newcomer. They quickly bowed and said respectfully, "Greetings, Ancestor."

Hovering in the sky stood an elder in a blue robe. His face was somewhat broad, and he exuded a natural aura of authority without anger.

The elder's gaze flickered with anger as it landed on the injured girl in red. Then, turning his eyes toward Mo Yu and the Little Doctor Fairy, he spoke slowly: "You two look unfamiliar, likely not from Tianya City, right?"

"There's no need to inquire about our background. If you're here to settle scores, just make your move."

For the first time, the Little Doctor Fairy, who hadn't spoken, let out a cold laugh, stepping forward. A powerful aura, no less formidable than that of the Luo family ancestor, surged up like a towering mountain, causing the expressions of countless onlookers to change dramatically.

"A Dou Zong expert?!"

The street was filled with gasps of shock as they stared in awe at the plainly dressed young woman. It was the first time they had seen someone so young who had reached the rank of Dou Zong.

Compared to the crowd's astonishment, the face of the Luo family ancestor was even more troubled. He clearly sensed that the woman's strength was in no way inferior to his own.

In fact, her aura held a strange, poisonous force. If they fought, his chances of winning wouldn't be particularly high.

His expression shifting, the anger in the Luo family ancestor's eyes gradually faded. He glanced at Mo Yu and the Little Doctor Fairy, his tone unconsciously softening.

"This incident is indeed my granddaughter's fault. I, Luo Cheng, apologize on her behalf."

As he spoke, Luo Cheng quickly descended, motioning for the Luo family servants to take the injured girl away. Then, smiling, he addressed Mo Yu and the Little Doctor Fairy.

"You've come to Tianya City—are you here because of the spatial wormhole?"

"Hmm." Mo Yu nodded lightly, then raised an eyebrow. "But I've heard that there's been a problem with Tianya City's spatial wormhole."

"This…" The blue-robed elder hesitated, then chuckled softly. "I won't beat around the bush. The issue with the spatial wormhole is indeed significant, and I can't fix it alone. That's why I'd like to ask for the young lady's help.

"As for compensation, our Luo family can waive the fees for your use of the wormhole this time, and also offer you a seventh-tier magic core as a gift. How about it?"

Hearing this, Mo Yu was slightly surprised, a thoughtful look flashing in his eyes. He nodded and said, "Alright, but I have one more condition."

"What condition?" The Luo family ancestor immediately asked.

The Little Doctor Fairy also looked at Mo Yu curiously, her beautiful eyes filled with confusion.

"Hehe, it's nothing too demanding. I just want to participate in the repair of the spatial wormhole," Mo Yu said with a smile.

"You want to participate?" Hearing Mo Yu's request, the Luo family ancestor was taken aback and hurriedly said, "Young friend, you may not know this, but the spatial wormhole was constructed by my Dou Zun ancestor, and it has stood for hundreds of years.

"To repair the wormhole, at least a Dou Zong expert with a mastery of spatial power is required. As for a Dou Huang…"

The latter half of the sentence was left unsaid, but the meaning was clear: a Dou Huang wasn't qualified.

Mo Yu wasn't offended, merely smiling lightly. "I understand what you're saying. However, I have some unique methods that may help your family repair the wormhole. Whether it works or not, you'll see for yourself."

Hearing Mo Yu's insistence, the Luo family ancestor's face showed a range of emotions. His eyes rested on the Little Doctor Fairy for a moment before he finally nodded. "Very well, I'll leave it to the two of you."

From the expression of the Luo family ancestor, it was clear he didn't believe Mo Yu could repair the wormhole. Instead, he placed his hopes on the Dou Zong expert, the Little Doctor Fairy.

Mo Yu noticed this too but wasn't offended. Others didn't know the mysterious abilities of his Flash Void Thunder, so their doubts were understandable.

"Hehe, follow me. With the help of the young lady and young master, we should be able to repair the spatial wormhole within the day."

Luo Cheng smiled, bowed slightly, and turned to lead the way, followed closely by Mo Yu and the Little Doctor Fairy.

The group crossed half of Tianya City in about half an hour before arriving at a massive black stone square that stretched out before Mo Yu's eyes.

The square was vast, built entirely of black stone, giving off a cold and sturdy impression. At the moment, the square was sealed off by numerous Luo family guards.

In the center of the square, a towering stone platform exuded a faint but intense spatial force.

With Luo Cheng leading the way, Mo Yu and the Little Doctor Fairy entered the square without obstruction. Following him up the high stone steps, they reached the platform in a few minutes.

The stone platform was located at the square's center, providing a commanding view of the entire square and the surrounding area for hundreds of meters.

On the platform were several Luo family experts, as well as two elderly men who did not appear to be from the Luo family, seemingly there to assist with the repairs.

Mo Yu's gaze briefly swept over these individuals before turning to the center of the platform.

There, a massive black vortex, about thirty meters in diameter, was slowly rotating. Waves of immense spatial power emanated from it.

However, the spatial force seemed somewhat chaotic.

"So, this is the spatial wormhole?"

The dark vortex resembled a black hole, radiating a strange, irresistible pull. Gazing at it from afar, all that could be seen was an endless expanse of darkness accompanied by an eerie, heart-stirring whistling sound.

Upon seeing this spatial wormhole, rich with spatial power, Mo Yu's silver eyes flashed, and a faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Naturally, as Mo Yu and the Little Doctor Fairy arrived on the platform, they drew everyone's attention. Upon seeing Luo Cheng, even the two haughty elders slightly bowed to him, retracting some of their arrogance.

"Hehe, these two are the Han Elders. In Tianya City and the surrounding area, they are well-known figures. I invited them to help repair the spatial wormhole," Luo Cheng said with a smile, introducing the two elders to Mo Yu.

After the introduction, Luo Cheng turned his gaze toward the two elders and said with a smile, "These two young friends are also here to help."

"Help? Luo Cheng, we understand you want the wormhole repaired quickly, but there's no need to bring two youngsters here. Do you not trust our abilities?" one of the elders frowned, clearly displeased.

"To think two people barely at the early Dou Zong stage would be so arrogant. They don't seem afraid of biting their tongues."

Hearing them being belittled, the Little Doctor Fairy didn't care much, but since it involved Mo Yu, a hint of anger flickered in her heart.

Without a word, she stepped forward. As she moved, the immense power she had been restraining suddenly surged like a flood, causing everyone on the platform—except Luo Cheng and Mo Yu—to freeze in shock.

"A Dou Zong expert? No wonder the ancestor invited her."

The Luo family members on the platform were all stunned and murmured in amazement.

Compared to them, the ones with the most awkward expressions were the two elders. With their strength, they could clearly sense that the Little Doctor Fairy's power was on par with Luo Cheng's, far surpassing their own.

However, they quickly shifted their gaze to Mo Yu, hoping to save face. One of them coughed and said, "If I'm not mistaken, this young man should be at the Dou Huang stage. You need at least a Dou Zong to repair a spatial wormhole. While this young lady's strength is sufficient, Luo Cheng, a Dou Huang simply won't do."

Hearing this, the Luo family ancestor's face flashed with embarrassment, and he turned to look at the calm Mo Yu. He, too, was curious about what kind of methods a Dou Huang could have for repairing a spatial wormhole.

Feeling everyone's eyes on him, Mo Yu remained composed. He raised his right hand, opening his palm to reveal a flash of thunderous energy brimming with immense spatial power.

Seeing the Flash Void Thunder in Mo Yu's hand, the two once-arrogant elders' expressions changed once again, embarrassment creeping across their faces.

They could dismiss the Dou Zong Little Doctor Fairy, but they hadn't expected Mo Yu—who they thought was weak—to possess spatial power even stronger than theirs, thanks to his Flash Void Thunder.

Luo Cheng, sensing the strong spatial power in Mo Yu's hand, was also taken aback, reevaluating the mysterious young man.

"Hehe, it was just a misunderstanding. Since our young friend has demonstrated his mastery of spatial power, of course, he can join in the repair."

Luo Cheng stepped forward to ease the tension.

The two elders, too, no longer objected after Luo Cheng's words.

With the situation settled, Luo Cheng smiled and said, "This spatial wormhole was built by an ancestor of my Luo family many years ago. Over time, the spatial imprint between the two locations has become blurred, which is why the recent issue occurred.

"What you need to do is use your spatial power to deepen the imprint, and the problem should be resolved."

Without further delay, Luo Cheng led Mo Yu, the Little Doctor Fairy, and the two elders to their positions. The four sat cross-legged outside the wormhole while Luo Cheng stood at the point where the platform and the wormhole met, his expression serious. "Everyone, please assist me!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the space around Luo Cheng began to twist. A surge of spatial power erupted from him and rushed into the wormhole.

Following his lead, Mo Yu and the others unleashed their spatial power, forcefully channeling it into the wormhole.

Although Mo Yu hadn't reached the Dou Zong stage, his mastery of spatial power—thanks to the Flash Void Thunder—put him ahead of the others.

Noticing this, the Luo family ancestor raised an eyebrow, growing increasingly curious about Mo Yu's background.

As the spatial power surged into the wormhole, the eerie whistling from within intensified, and the wormhole's pull grew stronger.

The Luo family members on the platform swiftly unleashed their energy, forming a protective shield around the wormhole to block out the powerful suction.

Inside the wormhole, as Mo Yu's spatial power penetrated deeper, a vast spatial passage came into view within his mind.

The passage was lined with faint silver barriers, and at its center stretched a ten-meter-wide path.

At the end of the passage lay an abyss of darkness, and the upper and lower reaches of the passage were similarly enveloped in a dark void, exuding a dense spatial ripple. The entire passage was eerily silent.

While Mo Yu curiously observed his surroundings, the voice of the Luo family ancestor echoed in the minds of the four. "Deepen the imprint with your spatial power!"

Upon hearing this, the four once again channeled their spatial power toward a mysterious spiral pattern that bore the imprint.

As their energy poured in, the previously blurry spatial imprint gradually became clearer, and the complex, ever-changing spiral pattern reappeared.

Deepening the imprint wasn't difficult; it merely required a continuous infusion of spatial power. Under the Luo family ancestor's guidance, the Little Doctor Fairy and the others kept channeling their energy into the spiral imprint.

Meanwhile, Mo Yu utilized his Flash Void Thunder to do the same. However, no one noticed that while most of the thunder's power went into repairing the imprint, a small portion quietly separated.

Under Mo Yu's control, the separated part of the Flash Void Thunder turned into streams of white light, ravenously devouring the chaotic spatial energy within the wormhole.

As Mo Yu had expected, although the spatial imprint had faded, the wormhole still held plenty of spatial energy—more than enough to sustain its function.

The central area of the wormhole contained an immense amount of spatial energy, but over time, some of it had become unstable, causing problems with the wormhole's operation.

Mo Yu targeted this chaotic spatial energy.

While it disrupted the wormhole's function, it was a perfect source of nourishment for his Flash Void Thunder.

As the Flash Void Thunder continuously absorbed the chaotic spatial energy, it began to grow at a rapid pace.

Externally, Mo Yu could feel the thunder's power swelling, and he couldn't help but marvel.

"As expected of a wormhole created by a Dou Zun expert—the spatial power it contains is extraordinary…"
