I spared no time solving how the minds of the evil lords worked, and just continued heading to our destination. Soon enough, he finally arrived in front of the mansion. Looking at it up close, I somehow recalled the mansion my father once had, where his laboratory was.
"Isn't this a little bit strange?" I whispered, roaming my gaze in the nearby areas. There was no one there. Not even a single Mime soldier was guarding it. Well, the guards must have probably been defeated already, seeing the state of the mansion, but I didn't see any Seeker as well.
"It definitely is," Claude agreed. He stepped forward, observing the mansion. He was checking each window as if someone were there.
"Did you see something?" I asked with bated breath. The hair on the back of my neck stood. I felt eyes, multiple pairs, watching me. "Captain…"
Claude nodded. He felt it too. He looked at me, asking me with his eyes: Should we go inside?
