The days after that pased in a blurr, and before they knew it was already the day before winter solstice. The classes with teacher Julius and instructor rock were the same as always with the exception of today being the last day of classes and being told to rest and have fun tomorrow before going to the dream realm.
After that all of them went to their rooms and fell asleep with the exception of sunny and nephis. Sunny was waiting for nephis on his bed thinking. The last month he was thinking about something important that he was scared off and he didn't know how to tell nephis. He was scared that she would leave him or something mutch worse.
Suddenly as he was thinking that he heard a knock on the door. As he went to open it he put on a smile and opened the door letting nephis in. Like always they went on his bed after locking their door behind themselves.
Nephis was aware that sunny was worried about something, but didn't want to press him for information, and wanted him to open himself up to her. As they sat on the bed sunny's smile dissapeared and nephis new it was time. She was also worried about what he was thinking so hard about.
Sunny started talking in a serious voice:" neph, i just want to say, im sorry. I know that it's shelfish of me to keep you by my side when you want to save everybody on the forgotten shore. I'm sure you saw my runes and atributes especially 'fate breaker' and i want to say, im sorry that i'm kee-"
Before sunny had a chance to finish what he was saying, neph kissed him and pined him on the bed. She put her arms on his and pressed so he couldn't escape, she also sat on him to also make sure he didn't think of escaping. After she ended the kiss she said:" sunny, don't say another word. You should stop before you say something you will regrett, i know how you feel but you need to understand that i love you and i want to be with you forever. You'r attributes don't change the fact that i love you and want to be with you. I do want to save the people on the forgotten shore, but if it means that i give up living the life with you i would not do it. Sunny, you are the thing that matters the most in my life and i would never let you go..."
Sunny was stuned both literally and mentaly, he listened to nephis and blushed more and more, as he was being more and more relived by his previous worries he was starting to get new ones. Since neph was sitting on him in the place he didn't want her to be, he was worried that something he didn't want to happen will happen, atleast for now they were to young and he was worried about a similiar situation happening like to effie. Smiling from ear to ear after the compliments, he knew it was over, it was already to late to change anything, at that moment nephis stoped and let sunny go and sat on the bed covering her tomato red face. She finally realised what she was doing and was now thinking what was wrong with her and how to fix it.
Sunny sat beside her and looked at her and with a calm voice said:" im sorry for that"
"No, it's my fault, not yours. I wasn't thinking about that at that moment."
They just sat there for a dozen minutes doing nothing but thinking what to say, then sunny sighed.
" ok, im sorry for worrying you. I love you too, more than anyone else. And i don't want anything to sepparate us ever again. I hope you can forgive me for this. I also wanna say that, if we don't go to forgotten shore i promise that im gonna do everything to find you, no matter what."
"Its gonna be okay, im sure of it. Even if we aren't in the same place we will for sure find eachoder. Also what about cassie how is she doing, i see you talking all the time during the breaks."
"She is doing fine, im pretty sure she knows something about all of this that she isn't telling me. She must have seen my atributes, so im wondering what kind of plan she is thinking of right now and how to do it. Im also worried about what will happen to her because of me."
Nephis reasured sunny everything would be okay and they would be together again, no matter the place in the dream realm they go to. She was more worried about the monsters they would kill and what kind of un ussual place they would go to this time. They could go anywhere from bastion to some place that is inhabitted by an unholy titan or something like that again.
"I love you, i'm never gonna forget what you did for me." Said sunny while slightly tearing up and being happy he finaly had someone he could open up to. Nephis was also happy sunny was showing emotion in front of her, she knew it was a hard thing to do and was still trying to do the same, but knew it would take more time.
"Hey i know this is a bad time, but, since we returned to our past boddies, does that mean we are supposed to be 16/17, or are we 26/27 or a few thousand years old."
Nephis was a bit suprised at that question but answered:" lets just stick with 16/17 for now, ok." She kissed him and tought it would be time to go to bed she laid down, but to her suprise sunny didn't follow, instead he went to the door and unlocked it and opened it. When he opened the door nephis was suprised by the fact that a certain blind girl stumbled on the floor as the door opened.
"Oww, you could have said something first, you know"
Sunny sighed, he knew about it since about two weeks ago but decided it was enough." Will you tell me what you are doing, young lady"
Cassie said in a nervous voice knowing she was in trouble:" well i wanted to see how your relationship was progressing, since i don't have my other abilities this was the only way."
Sunny already guessed she also returned from the future since she started following nephis to his room but staying outside. He also knew nephis didn't know about this because nephis was still shocked about that cassie was here. On the floor she was facing sunny and talking. Nephis was still on the bed stuned by the fact that her best friend was spying on them and she didn't know about it. She asked :" how long have you been doing this, and how did you go back." Cassie replied:" about 4 days after you guys came to the academy, and i dont know, when the altar shined and i opened my eyes i was in my first nightmare and i could see, for a short amount of time, but still. I was happy even with that short amount amount of time."
"Ok, cassie let me help.you to the bed i don't want you to catch a cold because of me. Also, i want to know all about what visions you had so far and what they told you."
As sunny helped cassie sit on the bed, he took the chair that was near his table and put it oposing the girls.
"Ok, start talking about everything you know."
"Ok, well the visions i got were of the past, all of them, except for one. It was the first vision i got after returning from the nightmare. It was about all of us, the three of us, kai, effie, jet. We were on a battlefield, and we were fighting i was at the back, kai was with me shooting arrows, effie was fighting and deflecting blows, jet was in her mist form attacking with all the strenght she had, neph was transformed in her fiery form holding a sword forged from ice that looked eternal and would never melt, sunny was....nowhere at first, but then i saw the stone saint you had, the first echo you got. You were augmenting her and she was trully strong, so strong that it gave me chills, she was of the supreme tier and what looked like a terror. I saw her use an attack that looked like it could split the world in two, as for your other shadows, serpent was badly wounded and transformed in the vile thieving bird, the giant oger you call fiend was on the floor far away trying to get up despite being horrably wounded. I was scared. But what was scarier was the fact that it wasn't the sovereign's we were fighting, instead, it was a giant monster made out of the same material as the altar in the nameless temple, it was 20 meters tall, with sharp fangs and teath it was... also, similing. I only took a glance at the monster before the vision ended. It was a cursed titan.
Her words echoed in the room. Both sunny and nephis had a lot to take in, especially that last part, after a few minutes sunny broke the silence.
"So, im guessing that thing apeared after we defeated those three while we were badly wounded and wanted to finish us off because of what we did, whatever that is."
Neph and cassie noded and stayed silent. Sunny again broke the silence this time only a minute of it.
"Wait, did you say that serpent was in the form of the vile thieving bird!?"
"Yes, even tought it was badly wounded it was defintely it. I don't know for sure but it looked exactley like the description you gave us."
Sunny was smiling and said in a happy voice:" i knew it, that bastard really died to my blade. Im really happy about that, i hope it really happanes."
