Chapter 163 - Gatenbarg Message

A handful of seconds later, Night Silver had made an appearance in Gatenbarg, she had appeared in the middle of the city, and caused quite the stir in doing so. Largely due to the nature of who she was, and the suddenness of her appearance, the other part was due to her current appearance. Gatenbarg had not outright banned bare bosoms, but it wasn't nearly as common, nor was it as integrated in their culture. They were but one example of a nation that developed in a different direction from their Tus Nadair roots.

"This place sure is cute, with lots of magical infrastructure. And, hmm, I don't really like the idea of them covering their chests like this. Implying that a woman's chest should be hidden is just wrong, but I suppose they have a different reason for it than those other idiots way back when."

A child looking at a statue nearby, turned his head back and forth several times. "It's our goddess! Mother goddess!"

From then on the thinly hidden lust in the eyes of the people, transformed into something different, reverence. For even though they lived in a different nation, they still accepted Night Silver as their goddess.

Soon she arrived at the castle, to find that her presence had very quickly stopped all of the bickering. The current King had been standing beside the throne waiting for her to enter, which had been the cause of their previous argument. She walked forward, and claimed her rightful seat, upon the throne.

Off to the side of the room was a half elven woman, one feeling an overwhelming sense of desire to run up and hug the goddess. She was given a warm smile, one she couldn't resist… This feeling, I… I… She's really my mother, my true mother. She ran over and buried her face into Night Silver's bosom. "Mother-"

"It's alright now my darling. I'll solve this issue straight away. Afterwards, we can take a relaxing bath and wash each other's hair and back." Night Silver smiled, rubbing the half elf's head, and massaging one of the girl's ears. "Let us have some mother daughter time together."

"I'd love that, mother!" The first princess of Gatenbarg, a half elf, born from the goddess's very own loins, cried gentle, happy tears.

The connection the two showed they had was definitely one far stronger than that of simple worshipers, it was so obvious that it shut up all of the heads who'd wanted to rebel against the king, and start a civil war.

"Hey, are you still going to try and overthrow the King, even after this?"

"Are you insane!? Hell no, that's our goddess, and she clearly supports our king."

"Not only that, going against the goddess would make us no better than those legendary evil figures 100 years ago. I don't intend on doing such things." A woman smirked, removing her upper garments to match the goddess she worshiped. "That said, I'd still like an explanation for that issue with that message."

The men in the room blushed a little harder, but the other women sighed and joined in the display of unity among them. After all, there really was nothing to hide here, not like they could hide something from their goddess anyway.

"Will you men stop being such prudes, you know good, and well that, the women of our country only cover themselves because it's easier to wear more magical equipment that way. Not because it's a real problem."

"Apologies, it's not the exposure that we're embarrassed about, it's the act of undressing." A man explained, clearing his throat. "Now then, Countess, you said you wanted to know about the message you received, correct? I know nothing of its contents, could you tell me what it was about?"

A countess, glared at the man for being such a prude, then being incredibly shrewd and weaseling his way out of his dishonorable comments. We really shouldn't allow men in positions of power anymore. They're too easily coerced by a woman showing what she ought to show… This makes me want to get up and move to Tus Nadair, at least there the men aren't total prudes. She then sighed lightly, taking a breath. "Of course, the message said "I am king, and you will die! I will kill you and your kin until there's none left" surely you understand my actions after that. I won't allow my people to die from something stupid like that. The tone behind it was also masculine, no way I'd mistake that."

Night Silver pondered for a moment, and then giggled. "Well, this seems to be all of Gatenbarg's nobles, and the royal family. I can confirm that none of you have sent any messages of the sort. I'd like for this situation to stop here, I have a couple of ideas as to who it was. One of them better hope it wasn't him, else I will obliterate his existence-" Her face became deadly serious. "Entirely."

The nobles took a couple of deep breaths, attempting to relax and calm themselves. The countess spoke first. "I would prefer this as well mother goddess, I do not wish to send your children into war, especially against each other. I swear I only acted out of concern for my beloved people."

"I know you did, but if you would allow me to read your mind, I'll replay the message so I can hear it for myself."

"As you wish mother, whatever it takes to resolve this crisis."

A few moments later, and it was clear that the voice was indeed masculine. However, using a quick search, it was clear that this voice was distinctly different. "It's odd, this isn't a voice a human could make. Nor a dragon for that matter. Interesting. I wonder what happened here…"

One of Night Silver's adult children teleported in, next to her. It was Graha, standing there in traditional Nadairian garb, she spoke. "Mother, I have confirmed receipt of a message from a Dragon Lord. It was Deep Darkness. They said they had encountered someone that called themselves a player. Apparently he was able to defeat this player after a bitter struggle."

"In that case, the player must have been level 50 to 65. Was there any other information?"

"Only that it was a man of some weird race he'd never seen before."

"Well then, that settles it, I think I know exactly who it was now… A shame that idiot spawned near that guy. He still owes me a few million gold. Oh well, not like that gold would be all that helpful right now. And it seems the issue with Gatenbarg has also been answered."
