Chapter 162 - Time Skip!

Time marched on, and soon Night Silver had been in the New World for about 300 years now, nations would quarrel with each other from time to time over stupid issues, causing refugees to spill out from within their borders, all of these refugees in a moment of panic chose the only place they could ensure security, Tus Nadair. Then later, a few months after whatever silly conflict occurred, the root causes of said conflict seemed to have been spirited away, never to be seen again, at least by the public.

Other Nations would have minor disputes where no mass casualties were had, and they'd soon find peace. Many believe that it was due to the pressure that Tus Nadair could use, whether it be economic, military, or political, or social, Tus Nadair had more than enough sway to change the fates of the world, however they wielded it carefully, having learned from Tsa's screw up of epic proportions.

There were other nations that simply couldn't stand the weight of the world and thus fell to ruin. Some fell due to unclear reasons, creating multiple historical mysteries. Some were so interesting that a whole new field of study and entertainment came about, Archeological Debating. No one had the clearest of answers, though everyone could agree on one thing, Tus Nadair must know the reason.

Other nations rose up, starting off small, and humble. Usually they would sprout up where other nations had fallen, sometimes it was from within the regions of another kingdom, and thus a fight for their independence would come to be. While this was dangerous, there was a sure fire way to win, and that was to gain the aid of the Elven Nation, for there was a mighty goddess who'd never allow her children to be harmed in such a foolhardy way. Her aid did come with a price though, both sides would be forced to make peace and compromise with each other, sometimes resulting in a new nation forming, sometimes would result in a title of nobility within the nation instead… It really just depended on Night Silver's mood, and the conditions that began the war.

Of all the nations around the world, only a handful of them stood the test of time. The Great Dragon Mother's nation, the Slane Theocracy, the Elven Nation, Tus Nadair, and the Dragon Kingdom. Nations like Gatenbarg, and Inveria were still around but, most nations considered those two and other like nations to be vassals of Tus Nadair, in other words, don't touch it, or else… How did these nations survive the test of time?

First, the Great Dragon Mother's conclave of Dragon Lords, it should be obvious, but the increased strength they had from training with their ally had provided a massive boon to their overall power, and the Dragon Mother rapidly grew stronger, now a rather powerful rival, or so the others thought, however, she knew better than to poke that hive.

Second, the Slane Theocracy, their unilateral faith binding their people together created a strong sense of national pride. They weren't without issue, for there were still a handful of families that had held onto the belief in the seventh Great God, however, after a multitude of threats from hardliners of the six Great Gods, these families orchestrated a large-scale retreat to the home where their Goddess accepted all of them. Their retreat stabilized the Slane Theocracy, but it became clear a few years later that the nation was becoming racist towards anyone not of human descent. Something that did cause far more people to up and leave for other places less hostile to their existence.

Third, the Elven Nation, they bordered against the Slane Theocracy, and so dealt with their fair share of issues with their neighbor. However, in a few scuffles it became clear that even without Tus Nadair's military support, the Elven Nation was far superior to the Slane Theocracy in terms of military prowess. A large reason behind this was their insistence on creating larger families, going against their inner nature felt wrong at first, but it didn't take long for the elves to have the same birthrate that humans did, and in some cases it could be faster, though those were few and far between.

Fourth, the Dragon Kingdom survived due to its backer being the Brightness Dragon Lord. His strength was the real deal, even the Great Mother seemed to barely manage a similar degree of power. Thus it was another one of those safe haven nations for people who couldn't tolerate living in the other war torn, or bigoted nations.

Finally, Tus Nadair, it should be obvious, but they are the undisputed strongest nation in the world. Boasting a collective might, beyond that of the rest of the world combined, and that was just the force under a single one of the half dragon children of Night Silver. Combine all of them together, and any attempt at military intervention was a hopeless endeavor. Their lowest level soldiers were comparable to level 45s, of which there were enough of them that fighting a Dragon Lord wasn't a completely impossible task. Tus Nadair used this strength purely as a deterrent, and nothing more.

How did Tus Nadair support such a massive army? Well, their population was so massive that the idea of expanding outwards would never have been enough. It was utterly ridiculous, they were only able to support such a massive population by building up, and digging down. To feed them was a gargantuan task, but with the huge number of mages specializing in the tending and expansion of essential services… It balanced out. It also helped that while the concept of money was known, they also knew the hidden evils that came with it, and insisted upon never using it. Thus they relied on their faith and respect for their goddess to continuously drive them forward.

Then one day, Night Silver received a message call from someone, and they were clearly in a panic. "Uhm, Is this, My lady Goddess!?"

"Indeed, what's wrong, my child? You sound panicked."

"We just received a weird message from some of our nobles and they're threatening a civil war. I don't know what to do, Goddess, please help me, your humble and undeserving son."

"Hmm, messages can be tampered with quite easily. I'll come and work this out." …
