Chapter 1 - The frozen betrayal

"I have never wanted to do this!!

Who in this world would ever be happy cutting off his own brother's fingers like this?"

He lifted a sword made of ice and sliced the fingers as if cutting tomatoes and carrots.

There was no hesitation—only a devilish grin.

The pain went beyond limits; it was so severe that Kyle lost the strength to produce understandable sounds.

He spoke meaningless words—whatever came to his mouth.

Tears fell from his eyes, and his body was trembling as if it had been shocked by electricity.

"What have I done to deserve this?

Is it my father's sin that made me lose my worth to them?

We once had happiness—why can't I even get a moment to rest?

Instead of giving me peace after my father's death, this is what I get…"

Tears continued to flow.

But the pain could no longer be felt because the body had already used up all the chemical messengers for nerve propagation.

Kyle was lost in deep thoughts until he even forgot the person cutting his fingers.

"Kyle!" the man shouted and slapped him hard across the face.

He was bringing Kyle back from his thoughts because the business between them was not yet finished.

Kyle could not speak clearly; he only managed to say, "You once said you and I are like brothers, Benny!!"

The man who was hitting him, Benny, replied,

"Yeah, that's what I'm doing—I'm doing this as your brother.

I hate doing this, but I must. If I don't, it will be done to me.

And the problem is never theirs; every day, the problem becomes mine.

I have endured enough.

At least you have that regeneration ability—I don't. Brother Danny gave me three days; this is the second one.

You still refuse to sign the Keratosis papers… do you know what they do to me there?

The other day they cut the flesh from my muscles, peeled my skin, pulled out my nails, and boiled them before forcing me to eat them.

Then they called a healer to treat me. So, I'm being fair to you.

I haven't skinned you alive—though maybe I should have."

Benny began to cry. "Please, brother, I'm begging you, sign the papers.

Sign them, and everything will be fine."

Kyle looked at Benny while his hand regenerated. Then he spat to the side.

"You have no shame, you big bastard," Kyle said.

"You haven't even tried—you never even asked what the papers are about.

These papers are more important than even your pain.

If you want to cut my fingers, then cut them—they'll grow again.

Even if you want to cut my head, do it—I don't care, it'll grow back.

Isn't that what you and your cursed family want?

You want me to sign the papers so you can own my father's property.

My father made the Hunts family. Kalimantan—his name is so great that even King Arthur knows it.

But what about your daddy?

Fuck your daddy, Demos Hunt! I believe he's the one who killed my father!

Go on—come on—you want my flesh?

Cut it, burn it!

And let's see where you'll get those properties from when I'm dead.

If I die, you'll live a harder life than this.

That's my pride! Hahaha! You can't kill me. If you kill me, all the property goes to King Arthur's kingdom.

Hahaha!"

Benny looked away, tears falling—but suddenly the tears froze, turning into ice.

His hands twitched. When they twitched, the air changed.

Water vapor began to condense, forming droplets that gathered toward Benny.

Water from broken windows slid inside, carrying dust particles from the cracked floor filled with holes.

The water was red with the blood spilled from Kyle.

"I wanted to solve this peacefully," Benny said, his voice shaking, "but my patience has worn thin.

You want pain? Then I'll give you pain until you wish for death.

I'll peel off every nail— I'll—"

Before he could finish, Kyle interrupted with a manic laugh.

"Now what's new? Go on—do what you want to do!

Don't make me wait—I'm used to it.

It won't break me. I have a good reason for not signing the damn papers.

You know what they say—life is funny because of challenges, because of pain, because every day gives us something to prove how better we fit in this damn world.

So this is another Monday to m—"

Before he could finish, the sword made of frozen water was thrust deep inside him—so deep that no sound came out.

Only blood poured from his mouth. But Kyle was used to it. He only smiled.

"Haha, this is just another Monday to me," he thought.

He then spat down the crimson blood and shouted like a crazy drunk, "Is that all you got, son of a bitch?"

Benny was silent—tired of the insults, tired of everything.

He screamed, and the water under his feet reacted violently, forming a vortex that lifted him up like a rocket.

More water gathered into his hands, condensing into a sword.

He jumped and struck Kyle directly in the chest.

But Kyle did not laugh this time. He didn't even look where Benny had stabbed him.

Because at that moment, darkness appeared—two crimson eyes floating within it, moving toward them.

Benny stepped back, dissolving the sword stuck in Kyle's chest.

He raised his hands, forming thousands of ice swords in the air, ready to strike.

But the darkness—like smoke—rushed straight into Kyle's body, filling every empty space within him.

The process made Kyle collapse violently to the ground, shaking uncontrollably.

The pain was unbearable. His body trembled, blood pouring from every open wound.

It was so much that he looked like he had just bathed in his own blood.

Kyle screamed, "Please… just one mercy, brother! Kill me!

This darkness… it's tearing me apart! Kill me, please!"

Benny stood frozen. He had never seen anything like it since the day he was born.

The darkness was the soul of the strongest dragon tamer in the universe.

And the strongest dragon tamer in the universe is only one..and he is the king of the kingdom

The legendary King Arthur...the one who was born to rule now was darkness that torment Kyle and froze still benny the bully!
