We are back here again,Boss asked me to make an appointment with the other people, the ones who seemed to be unto our target too.
It took a great deal of effort to see their Boss. After having our usual meeting, Boss sent us all out and had a private conversation with the person.
Although I don't know the specifics, I believe Boss is trying to convince them to work with us. The resented my Boss has towards that woman is really strong,he wants to break her and make her suffer.
He doesn't want her dead, instead,he wants her to keep living in torture and pain and my work was made easier thanks to the other people.
Drey's pov;
A few days ago, Jade put Xandra in coma. He said it was necessary to reduce her brain activity and slow down whatever was happening to her.
You guys must be wonderful how we handled Mira. Jade went to her and explained everything to her in a way that won't upset her too much but you can bet she was upset.
She insisted on seeing Xandra for herself but Jade made excuses that she shouldn't see anyone right now,it might make her sicker than she already is.
It took a long time to finally convince her. She promised to take care of Nelson while Xandra undergoes treatment.
Nelson also threw a fit when he heard his mommy won't be coming back for some time. I had to meet him myself and calm him down but I couldn't meet him again so as not to put him in danger.
Anyways,we are all good now and Jade is busy looking for whatever book he's looking for while we take care of the other business.

We were having a late night snack after completing our work for the day, Shawn and I, when Jade ran in like a mad man.
" I found it, I found it, I really found it". He screamed and made me jump out of my skin.
" What did you find,the cure?". Shawn asked even more excited than Jade.
" You won't believe it...". He continued with his scaringly loud voice.
" Will you tune it down a bit, I'll believe you". I said frustrated.
" Sorry, I was just too happy. I found the book I told you about the other day. It's just that the step is too risky and too complicated. The chances of success is at highest 1 of 100. It could even drop as low as 0.2".
Shawn gave a disappointed sigh.
' I knew it,the world definitely doesn't favor us that much that we'd find the cure that easily'.
" Is there any other way?". Shawn asked a obviously hopeless question but even I was hoping for a positive reply.
" Only that, it's the only shot we've got. Without treatment, even in coma, she'll die in 4 months, maybe less. Without putting her in coma,she won't last 2 months and will continuously black out even more frequently".
" Does that mean we can only proceed with the treatment with less than one percent success?". I asked dejected.
" At least,she would be able to live normally if it succeeds. Since we don't have much time, I'll give you two a day to think about it and make your decision".
I looked at Shawn and we both had the same expression, why delay it when it's obvious what we'd choose. We should just decide earlier and hope it'll be successful.
" Let's do it". I said.
" Are you sure? Max?".
" Un, let's just get it done". He said lowly with moist eyes.
" Alright, since you've decided. Let me explain the process. I'll need both of your help to collect the ingredients. There are some extinct plant and other rare materials and ores that we need to collect.
The most important ingredient, luckily we have it. It's the diamond stone that was connected to her consciousness. Actually, I'll be combining the ancient and modern way of making potions.
I'll combine the ancient elixir making process and the modern scientific method of removing alien particles in the mind using the brain without complicating the body's system".
" Sounds very complicated".
" It is, I'll write you the list of the ingredients and we'll make sure we get them all in a week. We don't have more than a week to spare, more than that and the chances will decrease even more".
