"Prometheus, don't disappoint me."
"This is your only chance."
Zeus's sharp gaze followed the departing figure of Prometheus. He was well aware that Prometheus was hiding something, as if he had his own plans in motion.
It cannot be denied!
Zeus was a ruthless individual—suspicious, lustful, and cautious. These were not good traits, but there was one thing that had to be acknowledged.
For Zeus, he knew very well that in all things, Prometheus was a reliable right-hand man. And as long as he could control this right-hand man, everything else was irrelevant.
However!
Zeus absolutely did not tolerate betrayal. Some things, once crossed, required a heavy price to be paid. And what would that price be?
The answer was simple!
No one wanted to find out. The consequence could very well be the end of one's life. Zeus believed that Prometheus was aware of what he was doing.
If Prometheus had to pay the price, the result was already obvious.
Now!
Everything was laid out. There was no need for more words, and certainly no need for idle talk, because this was reality. This was the truth in front of them.
Because of this, Zeus gave Prometheus a choice, and the outcome of that choice?
It was already clear!
Thus!
Everything was in place. The cost that would have to be paid and the outcome that would come were things no one could predict. What kind of choice would be made was up to Prometheus alone.
"..."
Stepping out of the temple, Prometheus quietly gazed at the sunlight, seemingly lost in thought. After a moment, he simply shook his head, as though he didn't need to dwell on anything further.
It was meaningless!
In Prometheus's eyes, there was no room for retreat. Everything had already been set in motion. His only option was to move forward, and he had no other choice. He reminded himself that retreat was not possible, not even slightly.
If he chose to back down.
Then!
The price he would have to pay was beyond words.
That was the harsh truth.
"In this era, everything is about to truly begin."
"Who would've thought..."
"That the age of heroes would turn into such a chaotic time? Who knows what the outcome will be?"
"Sigh!"
Prometheus let out a soft sigh and shook his head. He neither spoke nor acted further, instead quietly walking away into the distance.
It was time for him to make preparations. Since he had made his choice, he would not hesitate. There was no need to consider it any further. It was time to put the plan into action.
This!
This was the core of the matter.
Prometheus still had many things to plan and prepare for, and the results of these actions would be the most crucial.
...
Metis stood quietly, gazing into the distance.
She gently touched her stomach, whispering to herself, "Zeus! In the end, you still made this choice. In your heart, indeed, nothing matters but yourself. Everything else is meaningless."
"Sigh."
Metis let out a sigh filled with helplessness.
In the beginning.
Metis had been drawn to Zeus, choosing him because she truly loved him.
However!
Once a mother has her own children, everything changes.
You could say.
Metis and Rhea were like two extremes, each with a different set of priorities.
Metis cared most for her children, with her husband coming second.
Rhea, on the other hand, cared most for her husband, with her children taking second place.
Right or wrong?
It's hard to say.
Both made completely different choices, and there was no right or wrong in that. It was simply the path Metis chose.
For the sake of her children, Metis had no choice but to make this decision. As for everything else? In her eyes, it didn't matter.
"Abel."
"Athena."
"I..."
Thinking of her two children, Metis's gaze hardened. She would no longer hesitate. No matter what, she would not retreat.
No matter when!
Her children were always the most important.
What was in Metis's heart, no one knew.
However!
The storm in the Heaven Realm was about to begin. Zeus, Prometheus, and Metis—these three were the founding deities of the Heaven Realm, the ones who laid its foundation.
And now?
They were about to undergo significant changes due to certain events. This was inevitable, something that could not be stopped.
In this chaotic era, everything was unavoidable, and no one could escape it. It would always loom over them.
Meanwhile!
In a temple on Mount Olympus, Eris lounged on her throne, a broad smile on her face. Her divine power was quietly gathering.
It had begun!
It had begun!
At last, everything was set into motion. Eris had long grown impatient.
"Metis."
"Hera."
"It seems!"
"Dealing with the two of you directly is no longer feasible."
Initially, Hypnos and Thanatos had instructed Eris to take care of Metis.
After all!
From any perspective, Metis and Prometheus were the biggest threats under Zeus's command.
But the problem was.
Hades had grown too powerful, too quickly. With his rapid rise, there was nothing more to be done about it.
There was no choice.
Hades was no longer concerned with these matters.
Eris, however, had come up with other ideas. She had learned some inside information, and now that she knew the truth, what should she do?
Eris was never one to give up. She would try her hand. If she succeeded, that would be the best outcome. If she failed, well, death was no more than a reset for her.
Death, for Eris, was simply the start of something new!
