Heaven Realm!
"..."
Standing at the entrance of the Heaven Realm, Prometheus felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness, a feeling of silent contemplation that he couldn't shake off. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it frustration mixed with deep thought.
"Sigh!"
Once again, a thousand words condensed into a single, resigned sigh.
Inwardly, Prometheus thought, "Everything is laid out here. Well then! I'll just keep walking down this path quietly. Everything else is meaningless anyway."
"Sigh!"
Prometheus shook his head silently.
He knew he had no choice but to keep moving forward. Retreat? What would that result in?
Clearly, it would be pointless. For Prometheus, it was as if he were like Tartarus himself.
As the saying goes:
Even Tartarus, the Ancient God, had no choice, so how could Prometheus, a mere mortal compared to him, have any say in the matter? Clearly, that was impossible!
Ultimately, Prometheus gathered his thoughts, bringing himself back to the confident and determined state he once had. His entire demeanor transformed completely.
Now that it had come to this, Prometheus understood that he had no right to refuse. So! He would follow this path to the very end, without worrying about what problems might arise along the way.
As for what might happen next?
Deal with it as it comes!
That was Prometheus's mindset. Everything else? Meaningless! At least, in Prometheus's heart, this was all insignificant.
It cannot be denied that once his mindset shifted, even though it was a subtle change, it was enough to bring Prometheus back to a state of calm.
"It's truly a different feeling," Prometheus muttered as he stepped into the temple.
Inside the temple.
Zeus sat on his throne, watching as Prometheus slowly entered. In a calm voice, Zeus said, "Prometheus, it seems you've recovered quite a bit."
"Greetings, Your Majesty!"
Prometheus respectfully bowed his head, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.
"Good."
Zeus nodded with satisfaction, speaking calmly, "It seems you've come to understand a lot. That pleases me. Now, tell me, what are your thoughts?"
"Your Majesty!"
Prometheus spoke with utmost seriousness, "I believe we need to move our plan forward. Now that the Sea Realm has relinquished the God-King's authority, this is the perfect opportunity. Seize the God-King's power, and at this moment, we should begin our plan."
"Hmm..."
Prometheus's words caused Zeus to frown slightly before he replied calmly, "Prometheus, share your thoughts."
In the past, Prometheus had always been cautious, constantly advising Zeus not to rush! Not to rush! But now, after his time on the mortal plane, it seemed Prometheus had changed his mind. What had caused this shift?
Prometheus seriously responded, "Your Majesty, with the involvement of a certain figure, you must also realize that time is running out. This is a prime opportunity. If you seize it, you'll gain the greatest benefit and advancement."
"However!"
"Before that, we must settle internal matters. If issues arise then, it will cause true chaos."
"Very well!"
Listening to Prometheus, Zeus's eyes gleamed with sharp lightning as he proudly said, "I'm very pleased with your words. As I've always said, strength doesn't lie in the ability to plan everything through wisdom alone. Wisdom! If it could really map out everything, that would be nothing more than a joke."
Prometheus nodded, fully understanding the meaning behind those words.
Then, Prometheus continued, "The urgency of time is not necessarily a bad thing. With that figure now involved, both the Underworld and Sea Realm are preparing. In other words! They won't be too focused on what's about to happen."
"After all."
"When everyone's attention is on that figure, what we do will, in a sense, be even easier."
Prometheus's gaze sharpened, and his presence became more intense.
Clearly!
As Prometheus acted according to Gaia's plan, he gradually came to understand many things. Since there was no choice but to move forward, or rather, no choice at all.
Then!
He might as well see it through to the end. The path was already laid out before him, so he might as well try.
This was how Prometheus felt now. He was fully prepared.
"Good! Good! Good!"
Zeus said "good" three times in a row, with lightning flashing around him. His eyes gleamed with a commanding aura as he declared, "Prometheus, I am very satisfied with your actions. Now! Prepare everything."
"I don't want any problems."
"Understood!"
Prometheus's eyes flashed with determination. After a brief moment of thought, he continued, "Your Majesty, according to our timeline, the God-King's power will fall into the hands of our Heaven Realm when Lady Metis gives birth to her second child. That will be the perfect opportunity!"
"I understand."
Zeus nodded indifferently, his eyes void of any emotion. His wife? His child?
Heh... Heh...
Meaningless. In Zeus's eyes, as long as his ambition could be fulfilled, none of it mattered.
Abandon?
Who cares! No matter who it is, they can be discarded without hesitation.
That was Zeus's character—his ambition and madness would never change. This was the reason why Kronos's curse fell upon Zeus. Because of his overwhelming desire for power, Zeus's heart had become consumed by insanity.
And because of that!
That terrifying pursuit of power was what brought the curse upon Zeus.
