Chapter 507 - Chapter 507: Akainu Defeated in an Instant

Chapter 507: Akainu Defeated in an Instant

Crackle, crackle!

Akainu clenched his fist, feeling a surge of strength, but that was not the main point.

The true essence was the powerful energy flowing continuously from the God Killer Equipment.

At thirty percent power, Akainu understood he was still far from unleashing the full potential of this God Killer Equipment.

Yet, the power he wielded now surpassed his own.

Embracing this strength, Akainu felt in control.

Boom!

Without wasting words, Akainu unleashed the God Killer Equipment's power.

The surrounding sand erupted into a massive wave due to his explosive force.

"Dog Bites Crimson Lotus!" he declared. (Inugami Guren)

Like a radiant red stream of light, Akainu surged toward Sulong.

A dog-shaped magma burst from his right arm, piercing straight through Sulong's figure.

The entire process was seamless.

Boom!

The pierced Sulong's figure dissipated, revealing it was an afterimage, and the attack struck the sand behind it.

A tremendous roar echoed, and the sunlit sandy terrain turned to charred powder, then vanished into ashes.

Observing the scene, Akainu felt satisfied within.

Such an attack was beyond anything he had achieved before.

Its destructive nature far exceeded his previous pure magma explosions.

In his current state, he was confident he could defeat the veteran Garp.

However, Sulong opposite him was clearly not an easy opponent. His speed had failed to land a hit.

Boom!

As Akainu launched another attack, a chase began.

Akainu pursued Sulong but could not strike it.

During this pursuit, he grew more adept at wielding the Purgatory Cage Hand.

Simultaneously, Purgatory's voice emerged from within, guiding him on using the power correctly.

"It is very difficult for you to defeat Sulong in this state." Purgatory said.

"Sulong is even more agile than Kizaru."

"Its ability greatly enhances reaction sensitivity, with almost no delay between reaction and action, while also predicting the opponent."

"With your current movements, you cannot touch it."

Hearing Purgatory's words, Akainu asked in his mind, "Then what should I do?"

"You must wait for it to attack. It cannot maintain peak condition perfectly while attacking." Purgatory replied.

"But its attacks are very fast."

"You must focus completely throughout, or a single lapse will end the battle."

"Its lightning is unique, with a strong paralyzing effect that can disrupt your reaction circuit."

"If you fail to react in time and get hit once, the outcome will be nearly decided."

Purgatory's warning made Akainu's expression harden, and he attacked more cautiously.

Bang, bang, bang!

The two darted like Mythicals, chasing each other across the desolate desert.

From time to time, the roar of Akainu's attacks shook the sandy terrain.

As the chase continued, beneath the golden desert, in a small subterranean space, a pair of lantern-like red lights suddenly flared.

"It is so noisy! Can you not let anyone sleep?" a hoarse voice echoed through the space.

Swish, swish!

With the sound of surging quicksand, the massive creature vanished quietly.

On the desert surface, quicksand erupted around the two flickering afterimages.

The golden sand rose like a colossal wave, towering hundreds of meters high.

The terrifying sand wave surged toward the two figures.

Accompanying it was a loud, hoarse voice, as if roused from sleep.

"It is too noisy! Fight somewhere else! Do you really think I am a dead scorpion?" it bellowed.

As the sand wave approached, Akainu was momentarily stunned by the sudden change.

In that brief instant, Sulong, seemingly anticipating the shift, remained unaffected.

It seized the moment when Akainu's movements faltered.

Crackle!

Lightning flashed, and in an instant, Sulong appeared beside Akainu.

Its sharp claws, surging with lightning, struck Akainu's chest.

At that moment, Akainu's eyes seemed filled with blue lightning, his pupils contracting slightly.

His body had no time to dodge and was engulfed by the lightning.

His limbs ceased to function.

Struck by the lightning, Akainu could only process the situation in that moment.

Then, a fiercer attack followed.

"Dance of the Silver Moon." Sulong declared.

"Overture."

"A Hundred Birds Sing!"

Small thunderballs exploded like birdsong, all landing on Akainu.

He felt his body growing heavier, his reactions becoming intermittent.

"First Song." Sulong announced.

"Drinking the Dragon!"

A massive thunderbolt transformed into a dragon, roaring as it exploded above Akainu's head.

Simultaneously, the lightning carved a gaping hole through the oncoming sand wave, shooting into the distance.

Akainu's eyes rolled back as he was blasted, the red energy suit on his body dissipating instantly.

Sulong ceased its attack.

After glancing at him, it turned into lightning and passed through the hole in the sand wave.

Akainu, eyes rolled back, was swallowed by the sand wave and buried underground.

"It is Sōgetsu!" a voice exclaimed.

"I thought it was some blind fool. Sorry, sorry, I was impulsive just now." it said.

A massive scorpion emerged from the desert.

It noticed Sulong with fluttering white fur on a sand dune.

Its initial anger from being disturbed turned to flattery.

"It is fine. I chose this battle location. I am sorry." Sulong said.

It glanced at the spot where Akainu was buried without turning back, its tone carrying a hint of coldness.

"No way! Sōgetsu actually apologized to me! Hahaha!" the scorpion exclaimed.

The giant sand scorpion danced happily, waving its massive pincers.

Though it did not see Sulong's expression, it felt a bit speechless.

Beneath the sand wave's cover, Akainu's body was buried in gravel, his mind unconscious.

His consciousness was pulled into an inner world of purgatory.

"How careless!" Purgatory remarked.

"But this is human nature. That creature should not be underestimated."

"Now that your body is initially attuned to the Mythical beast's power, you can wield stronger abilities."

"But there is another hidden dark force within you. Though weak, it feels like it has great potential."

Hearing the six glowing red eyes of the creature speak of that power, Akainu's mood darkened.

"Stop talking nonsense and lend me your strength." he demanded.

Purgatory laughed and said, "Hahaha, you humans are so rude!"

"But you will learn later that this power comes at a cost. I hope you are not so eager when you use it."

A rich red light shone toward Akainu.

Its final whisper reached his ears.

"The purgatory of the purgatory…"
