Chapter 508: Kizaru Was Sad and Cried
Fifty percent power!
With a tremendous roar, Akainu, who had been rolling his eyes beneath the dune, suddenly floated in a red light.
The gravel pressing around him exploded skyward.
Suddenly, Akainu revived and regained consciousness.
He gazed at the red light emanating from his hands, resembling a slow trickle of water.
This was his current power!
Akainu felt the strength surging through his body and had an urge to roar loudly.
But his reserved nature restrained this impulse.
Bang! Bang!
In the sky, the exploded sand dunes began to fall.
Suddenly, gravel rained down across the area.
Amid this shower of gravel, Akainu focused his attention on the white figure atop a sand dune nearby.
Now, he would not be careless again.
Boom!
Akainu moved again, and the sand beneath his feet erupted instantly.
His explosive figure appeared beside Sulong, pushing against the solid air, which echoed with a blast.
Then, the next round began!
The two engaged in another chase. This scene left the desert giant scorpion bewildered.
At that moment, it felt helpless.
A direct, large-scale attack risked hitting Sulong.
In the end, it could only watch the battle continue, reduced to a mere spectator.
"Kwahahahaha! Admiral Akainu has returned to the battlefield and is fighting Sulong again. He did not collapse entirely." Morgans announced loudly.
"This outcome must be disappointing for many people."
The battle prompted Morgans to report with enthusiasm.
His words made Kizaru, standing atop a large tree's crown, roll his eyes.
If Akainu had truly fallen, many would likely rush to claim his body!
After all, he has a God Killer Equipment, its allure undeniable.
If the God Killer Equipment had not belonged to Akainu, Kizaru might have secretly wished for Akainu to fall, so he could seize the equipment.
"Hey, can you go easy on me?" Kizaru asked.
"If you keep running like this, I feel I will never catch you in my lifetime!" he said to the Gold and Silver Ape King, who was behind a tree not far away.
He had been chasing it in the sky earlier but could not catch it at all.
The ape then darted into the forest, playing hide and seek in various spots.
This gave Kizaru a headache. His light ability excelled in straight lines but was outmatched in complex terrain.
At this rate, it would take him years to touch it!
He dared not bombard recklessly, as the island was filled with Mythical beasts.
Accidentally provoking a stronger one would make things difficult for him.
"You are getting impatient so soon? It has been a while since I had someone to play hide and seek with." the Gold and Silver Ape King said.
"If you entertain me well, I might go easy and give you the treasure."
The Ape King's voice from the forest stirred Kizaru's heart.
Indeed, he needed to show some effort!
"Yasakani Sacred Jewel!"
Whoosh!
Kizaru unleashed numerous light beams, scattering them across the forest, where they condensed into his light clones.
"Sacred Yata Mirror!"
Countless light clones used the Yata Mirror to connect, forming a forest blockade.
Swish!
In an instant, Kizaru transformed into light particles and followed the light path to a spot in the forest.
There, the Gold and Silver Ape King hid behind a massive rock.
Swish!
A laser-like sound rang out, and Kizaru's light body emerged from the exit.
He appeared behind the Gold and Silver Ape King and grabbed it.
He caught it!
The corners of Kizaru's mouth curled into a delighted smile.
His fingers passed through the air, straight through the figure of the Gold and Silver Ape King.
Was it a clone?
Had he failed?
"I am here!"
Suddenly, Kizaru heard the Gold and Silver Ape King's voice from behind.
He turned to look.
Swish!
The world before his eyes lit up, overwhelmed by a dazzling light that seemed to engulf everything in an instant.
Crack! Snap!
Kizaru's sunglasses shattered with a sound like breaking glass.
"It is so blinding!" he exclaimed.
"My eyes, my eyes are going blind!"
Feeling the unparalleled brightness, Kizaru covered his eyes and brushed off the broken sunglasses with the back of his hand.
If not for maintaining his composure, he might have howled without regard for his image.
His eyes burned white-hot with pain.
As a man with light-based abilities, Kizaru never imagined this.
One day, he would be blinded by light.
Such a rare experience brought tears he could not stop.
Men do not shed tears easily, unless they are deeply moved.
Kizaru felt exactly this now.
He was truly saddened.
They had agreed on hide and seek, and now it was a physical attack?
What a ridiculous world! An ape had become more cunning than a human!
As Kizaru cursed inwardly, the Gold and Silver Ape King stood before him, its hands forming a telescope shape.
Infinite light refracted and shone from its fists, beaming directly into Kizaru's eyes.
It was as if flashlights were aimed at him one by one.
Whoosh!
Kizaru covered his eyes and lunged forward with his arms.
Feeling fur in his grasp, he smiled through his tears.
It seemed the wretched monkey had been careless and failed to dodge.
It was not easy!
He had nearly gone blind to catch this ape. What treasure awaited?
Could it be a God Killer Equipment?
Akainu had obtained one of the nine items Morgans mentioned, so it was not too much for him to get one too!
After a moment, Kizaru felt his eyes improve and opened them.
He was already imagining the glorious moment of receiving the treasure.
When he opened his eyes, the smile on his face plummeted.
His blurry vision confirmed the body of the Gold and Silver Ape King.
But why did this body have a cubic head? It displayed numbers counting down.
As Kizaru saw it, the number hit 1.
Rumble!
A massive explosion erupted, toppling several trees where Kizaru stood.
His clothes became tattered, his hair stood upright and smoked, and his face bore a smoky, natural decorative style.
He exuded the heroic beauty of surviving a bomb attack.
"Die you, Monkey!"
His voice echoed through the sky.
For a moment, crows scattered in all directions.
After all the trials, the ape's trickery had finally failed.
On the other side, the Gold and Silver Ape King, soaring through the sky, heard the loud accusation behind it.
Its monkey face displayed a mischievous grin of success.
Then, it set its sights on a distant area where the atmosphere trembled and flames flickered.
That area was a cluster of immortal volcanoes.
It had joined the excitement there before, and it was delightful.
Its figure transformed into a shooting star and plummeted from the sky.
