Akaza's aura flared wildly as he activated his Blood Demon Arts, the air around him shimmering with an ominous red glow. His body seemed to radiate raw killing intent, and crimson lines snaked along his skin, pulsating with power. The ground beneath him cracked and splintered under the weight of his energy.
"You wanted my best?" Akaza growled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Here it is!"
As he charged, his fists radiated energy like a pair of glowing meteors. The first punch came faster than before, nearly catching me off guard.
I shifted my body to avoid a direct hit, feeling the heat of his attack graze my cheek. The second punch followed immediately, slamming into my side and sending me skidding back. A deep wound opened across my ribs, blood pouring freely before my body began to mend.
"Finally," I said, a grin spreading across my face. "You're taking this seriously."
I activated my own martial arts skills, my body moving with precision honed through countless battles. My movements became sharper, faster, and more deliberate. I dashed forward, closing the distance between us in an instant.
"[Raid Punch]" I shouted, my fist connecting with Akaza's jaw. The force of the strike created a shockwave, snapping his head back and sending blood spraying into the air.
Akaza staggered, but his recovery was immediate. His grin widened as he retaliated with a flurry of punches, his Destructive Death Compass Needles forming glowing circles of energy around him. The attacks came in rapid succession, each strike aiming for vital points.
I dodged and parried as best I could, though a few blows landed, tearing through flesh and muscle.
"Not bad," I admitted, wiping blood from my mouth. "But let's see how you handle this."
I launched into a spinning kick, activating [Destruction Kicks]. My leg glowed with faint energy as it connected with Akaza's side, shattering ribs and sending him flying. He crashed into the ground with a thunderous impact, but he was already back on his feet before the dust settled.
"You're relentless!" He growled, his voice tinged with both frustration and exhilaration. "But so am I!"
He charged again, his movements blurring as he unleashed another barrage of punches. This time, he incorporated his Blood Demon Arts, the glowing red energy around his fists creating shockwaves with every strike. I met him head-on, activating Unyielding, a skill that allowed me to absorb the force of his attacks while delivering devastating counters.
His fist slammed into my chest, cracking my sternum and sending me stumbling back. I retaliated with a crushing elbow strike to his temple, the impact splitting the skin and drawing a spray of blood. He grunted but didn't falter, his regeneration already working to close the wound.
We continued trading blows, the battlefield turning into a blood-soaked war zone. Every punch, every kick, every strike drew blood and left deep wounds that would have been fatal to anyone else.
My left arm was torn open, the bone visible through the shredded muscle. Akaza's chest was a mess of claw marks and bruises, his once-pristine body now marred with injuries.
"Destructive Death: Annihilation Type!" Akaza roared, unleashing a powerful, concentrated blast of energy. The attack ripped through the ground, leaving a massive crater in its wake.
I barely dodged the brunt of it, the edge of the attack scorching my skin. My vision blurred momentarily from the sheer force, but I steadied myself and countered.
"[Raid Punch]" I yelled, driving my fist into his gut with enough force to lift him off the ground. His body convulsed, blood spraying from his mouth as he crumpled to his knees.
Yet, even then, he laughed.
"You're... incredible," he wheezed, his voice full of genuine admiration. "You fight like a true warrior."
"And you're a worthy opponent," I replied, stepping back. "But this battle is over. [Cancel Spell]"
Akaza staggered to his feet, his body trembling from exhaustion and blood loss. The sun was beginning to rise again, its faint light piercing through the remnants of my spell [Eternal Darkness]. He turned toward the forest, his expression torn between regret and relief.
"I wish... to continue this," he said, his voice heavy. "But the day has arrived. It's my loss." He said.
From the look of it, it seems he is determined that he is going to die today, but he is not escaping.
I raised my hand again, summoning another magic circle. The ground trembled as I cast a barrier to seal the sunlight off. "Not yet,"
"I have an offer for you," I said. "You fight with the strength of a true warrior, but your heart is weighed down by something—or someone."
Akaza's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"
"The woman who often appears in your thoughts," I said, taking a step closer. "The one who holds your heart, even now. I can bring her back."
He froze, his expression unreadable as he processed my words.
"I can resurrect her to you," I continued. "But only if you choose to stand with me. You need to make a decision here and now."
