Hello, my dear reader! It's been a while, hasn't it?
Sorry that I haven't uploaded recently, it's just that I went through a bad burnout and kinda lost the spark.
But of course, that'd never stop me.
You might have noticed that I erased the most recent two chapters, and that is for a good reason. I was editing them.
I had decided that the [4 Seraphim] and [The 10 Commandments] were too strong and in the story too early for what I want Otto to deal with.
And it's not the strength itself that bothers me, but the number of them. I might have gone overboard. So, instead of those 14 creations, I chopped it down to 7, and also changed the group.
I think you'll find them more...fitting for someone like Otto.
Also, chapters might be a bit slower now. I have to edit a lot of stuff out now because of this. Annoying, but I don't regret this decision.
-Otto POV-
It took a while to find my tranquilizer. Twenty minutes in, I remembered that I had put a tracking device on all my stuff.
Sometimes I feel like I'm too stupid to be smart...
Anyway, after getting my stuff ready, I began to go around the orphanage to say bye to the kids.
All of them began to cry, begging me not to go. Especially Theresa, Bronya, and Seelie. But the gang and I had already decided to go, so I couldn't comply with their request.
After I said my goodbyes to the kids, I began activating all countermeasures at home. Whether it was magical or technological, the biggest defense isn't any of them; it is my creations.
A few years ago, I had Valerie help me with a small passion project of mine.
You see, when I create creatures through [Annihilation Maker], they are nothing but mindless zombies that follow my every command. There's also the fact that when I make a monster, I also need to fuel them with either raw emotion, as that is what Sacred Gears run on, or mana.
And so I sought a way to make my creations a bit more... independent and more permanent so that I could conserve energy.
I did do some research, but none of it worked or was impossible in any way.
That was until I had the great idea to give my monsters a little something.
something...personal.
A soul.
And who is better to talk about souls than Valerie?
Of course, I could have figured something out myself with [Rebirth].
But what's better than one Herrscher of Rebirth?
It's two of them!
Plus, Valerie also wields [Sephiroth Graal], which is basically the LeBron of items that tell you about life and death here in the DXD universe.
And thus, we both went into research on how to create the perfect souls and combine them into one of my [Annihilation Maker] creations.
Souls themselves are metaphysical beings that are completely blank from birth. Neither can they interact with anything, nor can they think. That is, until they gain a physical body or you forcefully feed them information. Mana also comes from the soul, or rather, an energy that comes from the soul.
All people have the potential to use magic; it's just a matter of having a body capable of outputting said magic. That's why some people are so obsessed with bloodlines and stuff.
As I was saying, I had Valerie assist me in this endeavor. She was actually quite excited, too, since she hadn't had the chance to use the soul-making part of her [Sephiroth Graal].
It took a few tries here and there since it was her first time creating souls, and my first time combining my [Annihilation Maker] creations with souls. But eventually, we managed to figure it out.
But there was one problem.
What should I create?
I thought about it for a while until I realized that we live in a world full of Demons and Angels.
And so, I thought of creating two teams: [The Four Seraphim] and [The Ten Commandments].
Well, that was initially the plan. But after thinking about it for a bit more, I thought of an even more evil group that would match my handsome and awesomely evil personality.

Of course, it wasn't easy, as I passed out for almost a week each time I created one of them. Making a monster that's equal to Satan's isn't an easy task, even though I am already in Satan class myself at base strength.

A/N: The Skill's not having a description is on purpose. They will be further expanded on as the story goes on. Thought that it would be too boring if y'all already knew what they could do from the get-go. But of course, you could search up the original powers, which are similar to the ones they will have in this fanfic.

Pretty overpowered, right? And the fact that I can't control them completely or bring them back to my shadows is even more unnerving.
But as Otto Apocalypse, "I Always Have a Plan".
It was quite difficult making them since I couldn't create them with multiple skills from birth, as even [Annihilation Maker] has its own limits despite being so overpowered. Can't just wish to make God after all.
So I just made multiple monsters with the skills I needed and created one that can combine other monsters together.
Of course, that in itself is a limitation. I couldn't give them multiple "Anti" skills, as that would create some sort of paradoxical contrast between skills, causing the monster to break down and die. Simply put, too many random skills caused too much chaos within the creation.
I also implanted a skill that made it impossible for them to use their skills against me or anyone that I care about if they have any ill will.
I doubt I'll ever have to use them, but you never know.
The world is a strange place full of mystery and endless possibilities after all.
But so far, I haven't had the need for it. From the moment they were born, they had a certain affection towards Valerie and me since Valerie and I made them. We're kind of like their parents, in a weird sense.
Remember when I said that when a soul is made, they are nothing but blank, a white canvas waiting to be painted?
Well, their affection was really in effect when I started teaching them, feeding how to be a living being into their soul took a while, but they absorbed information really fast.
Anyway, after I said bye to the kids, I also went to say bye to my creations. They also panicked, as I have never been away from home for a long time.
They worried about me and pleaded to take at least two of them with me for protection, despite my being quite strong.
Fufu~ it was quite cute how much they cared about me, so I let them choose among themselves who was going with me.
They played a sacred game of rock, paper, scissors, to decide the winner. In the end, Kama and Olga will be coming with me to Japan.
The rest were sad, but I promised to come by at least once a month. That seemed to lighten their mood as they went back to their duties in either the Orphanage or Hyperion.
Hmm~ This trip is going to be so fun!
Hopefully, it's near Kyoto since that's where the Yokai faction is based.
