Chapter 5057 - Chapter 4111: MU: Super Body Major Event (154)

This book quietly floats in the universe space, and anyone who gazes into its contents will be tainted by Nyarlathotep's mad contamination. At this moment, the entire universe space is filled with violent energy, turning Magneto and Scarlet Witch, who have become energy forms, into beings crazed for destruction, using only their mutant abilities. As a result, this place has been swallowed into nothingness, and no life can approach.

Yet at this moment, another figure emerged at the edge of the Swan Star System. His body also emitted eerie energy fluctuations, as countless tentacles waved, a pair of cold blue eyes revealed an unparalleled madness.

When he appeared, certain powers began to resonate. Those who lost their sanity due to Constantine's writings and Nyarlathotep's contamination, namely Scarlet Witch and Magneto, began to float towards him.

This chaotic yet violent formidable energy almost tears everything in its path to shreds, but their speed is not slow. In the cosmos, as fast as the electromagnetic waves are, so is their speed, almost instantaneously reaching the outskirts of the Nine Major Kingdoms.

At this moment, countless troops were assembled here, yet it seemed to be just a tiny fraction. The Kree Empire and Skrull Empire had decided to wipe out Asgard in one fell swoop. Many forces had already penetrated the Nine Dimensions, currently besieging Asgard, with more on the way, making the situation even more critical than last time.

However, under the full resistance of the Father of All Gods and God King Thor, Asgard held off another wave of attack. Although this time the personal guard suffered significant losses, they managed to completely destroy the enemy's nest of forces, and the subsequent troops would take at least an hour to approach. For the God Clan, this recovery time was already quite sufficient.

Odin walked into the grand hall of the Fairy Palace with a spear in hand, followed by Frigga whose magic power was nearly exhausted, a slight fatigue showed between her brows. But soon, Loki emerged from the rear hall, bringing them the spring water of the World Tree.

Odin drank the water contained in the leaf in one go, speeding up the recovery of his divine power, although the fatigue did not entirely dissipate. His long years of warfare meant he would never lose his nerve before battle, but it was also precisely because of his rich experience that he understood how tough this battle would be.

"Father of All Gods, I think we should consider seeking aid from the Human race," Loki said softly. He knew that in the past, Odin would have surely scolded him for saying such, and even now Odin probably wouldn't be pleased, but now was not the time to act on emotions.

Odin sat down, giving him a glance, but said nothing. Frigga glared at Odin, interrupting what he was about to say, and spoke to Loki: "The Human race is currently preoccupied with their troubles. If we rashly seek their help and disperse their forces, and if we lose, their margin for error is far smaller than ours."

Loki was well aware of this truth. Asgard has fought thousands of battles, at its most devastating times, the entire homeland of Asgard was reduced to ruins, and Hela almost wiped out the entire Aesir, yet it still stands today. This is far from the worst-case scenario.

The issue is, they no longer follow this path. If one battle depletes almost every warrior, there would be nobody left for subsequent battles, and the training period for civil officers is much longer than for military officers. Moreover, no matter how you fight, it is impossible to annihilate the two empires simultaneously, making prolonged combat a pure loss.

"I am preparing to form a small squad," Odin said in a deep voice, "to raid the stronghold of the Supreme Intelligence."

Loki paused in his actions. He said, "Even if the Supreme Intelligence is attacked, he will not withdraw his troops. Moreover, the forces defending his headquarters will not be fewer than those attacking here, and it may not cause significant damage."

"I understand," Odin said, "but even if Asgard is to be destroyed, it should not be besieged and massacred at home. If we are to die, we should die on the road to charge; I must make those who dare to invade pay the price."

Loki's heart gradually sank. From Odin's words, he sensed an unusual undertone. As Asgard gradually stabilizes, Thor is doing well as God King, and Odin has been at leisure in Vanaheim for a long time. Though Asgardians still chant the name of the Father of All Gods, it is clear that the Father of All Gods no longer holds the pivotal role he once did.

Odin is old enough to be strong enough. A Skyfather Level being, if he decides to go down with the enemy, burning his vitality could cause tremendous destruction.

The Supreme Intelligence, being an electronic lifeform, should theoretically be unkillable. Even if the main body is destroyed, countless backups exist. But Loki knows that his reluctance to provoke Odin is actually because Odin is the only one in the universe who can kill him.

The spear in Odin's hand is named Gungnir. It has a very peculiar attribute called "inevitable accuracy." It will chase Odin's enemies to the ends of the earth until it kills them. There was once an enemy trying to avoid Gungnir's pursuit by dividing his soul, but it was to no avail; several souls were divided, and several long spears would appear until every fragment of the soul was nailed dead.

Just how strong is Gungnir's inevitable attribute? On one hand, it depends on the intensity of Odin's killing intent, and on the other, it depends on how strong Odin himself is. Odin is now powerful enough that if he decides to kill the Supreme Intelligence, even at the cost of burning his own vitality, then the Supreme Intelligence and every one of his backups would undoubtedly perish.

Odin had never been to Battleworld, nor was he one of the players; he had no chance for a redo. If he intends to perish together with Supreme Intelligence, then Asgard will forever lose the Father of All Gods.

Although currently the two Empires' attack could be considered instigated by Batman, Loki knew very well that this battle would come sooner or later. After all, they had messed with the Three Great Empires so badly before, without retaliation, they wouldn't be called the Three Great Empires.

Odin probably had such plans all along. He was aware that rather than slowly dying in peace at Utopia, the Father of All Gods would prefer to die on the battlefield. If it were on the battlefield facing the Three Great Empires, he would die without regret.

Loki was momentarily torn. He didn't want Odin to die at all, but didn't know how to persuade him. After all, the ethos of Asgard was like this; dying on the battlefield was a form of glory—could he really stop Odin from pursuing ultimate glory?

Moreover, once Supreme Intelligence dies completely, the tightly controlled Kree Empire will surely collapse in an instant. Asgard could seize the opportunity for a brighter future.

This is good for both Asgard and Odin—what reason does he have to object? And how could he persuade him?

No matter what, Loki just didn't want Odin to make such a decision. The more he couldn't come up with a solution, the more he tried to think, feeling as if his brain might boil over.

Frigga clearly noticed he was looking unwell, tugging at his arm. Before long, Thor entered as well. Upon seeing Loki's expression, he paused in surprise and asked quietly, "What's wrong?"

Loki said nothing, turning his head away. Thor wanted to inquire further, but Odin had already spoken of his plans. Thor was astonished and looked at his father saying, "Father of All Gods, are you in your right mind?"

This question angered Odin. He was about to retort when Thor said, "So many enemies are right there in the world next door, and our Multiverse allies are not far away; yet you want to perish alongside a minor character from our universe? It doesn't seem fitting, does it?"

Odin was momentarily at a loss. Thor shrugged helplessly, saying, "Father, the times have changed. Back in the days when you battled across the cosmos, the Three Great Empires were indeed worthy opponents. But now, in the Multiverse, there are foes stronger than Supreme Intelligence. If you perish alongside him, what will happen when those foes arrive?"

"Then what are you here for?" Odin asked irritably.

"Though I'm a decent God King, I'm still young, with insufficient Divine Power accumulation; my strength falls short. With your current age and power, if you were to fight enemies from the Individual Universe, we would suffer great losses. Why don't you wait? In a few years, beings from the Multiverse will surely arrive, and it won't be too late to act then."

Loki suddenly realized. How had he not thought of such a way to persuade him? He quickly chimed in: "Yes, Father of All Gods. Supreme Intelligence is insignificant. Perishing alongside him would be letting him off easily. If you live for a few thousand more years, who knows, you might spar with Eternity or become a Judge in the Court of Life—that would better suit your status."

Despite appearing angry, Odin didn't say more; evidently, he had been convinced by the two brothers' reasoning.

The main thing was, thinking of other Odins in the Multiverse, not limited to just this universe having survived Ragnarök, and what if someone made more noise than him and gained fame in the Multiverse, knowing he perished alongside a minor enemy from the Individual Universe—wouldn't Asgard of this universe also have a reputation to uphold?

At that time, others would have fathers of Multiverse level, but only their own father was Individual Universe level. Thor and Loki would leave the house hanging their heads, and that wouldn't be acceptable.

Odin had no choice but to abandon the idea of perishing with the enemy. Though dying on the battlefield was honorable, he still had two children. The Aesir grow stronger as they age; he might as well live for another ten or twenty thousand years, and when some clueless foe from the Multiverse dares to challenge Thor and Loki, he will make them understand why flowers are so red.

Loki noticed Odin had dropped the idea, and he breathed a sigh of relief. The family of four enjoyed a rare sumptuous dinner, ready to face the next wave of attack.

Yet, while Odin was adjusting his armor, his movements suddenly paused, his whole body stiffened. He looked up in disbelief and said, "The dimension barrier of the Nine Dimensions has been breached... What is that?!!"
