Chapter 5058 - Chapter 4112: MU: Super Body Major Incident (155)

The dimensional barriers of the Nine Major Kingdoms are extremely robust because the Nine Major Kingdoms themselves rely on the World Tree, which is a genius treasure from the time when the cosmos was created. This thing is part of the Cosmic Origin, and it's incredibly difficult to shake.

Even the Three Great Empires find it hard to break through. They mostly choose to manipulate the entrance at the dimension, either creating a crack at the entrance or tricking the recognition system at the entrance. In any case, they do it sneakily, as no one would rashly try to blow up the wall—partly because it can't be blown up, partly because even if they succeed, the crack would close instantaneously, preventing continuous passage and wasting resources.

But this time, the dimensional barrier of the Nine Major Kingdoms was directly blown open. Because the explosive force at that moment was too brief, Odin couldn't clearly see what it was. He had no choice but to wave his hand, summoning two ravens before him.

He waved his hand forward again, and the ravens flew out, clearly headed to the accident site to help him check the situation.

Within the Nine Major Kingdoms, ravens are Odin's eyes, an extension of his will. There is nothing the ravens cannot help Odin understand—but this time was different.

Loki waited anxiously for news. If not for the dangerous situation outside, his father and brother would never have allowed him to go out; he would have gone to investigate himself. However, it's fortunate he didn't go, or else trouble would have ensued.

Odin suddenly let out a muffled groan. Loki saw blood flowing from his eye sockets. Odin staggered back a few steps and said in a hoarse voice, "Spring… World Tree…"

Loki quickly flew to the rear hall to fetch the World Tree's spring water. Odin first drank a few mouthfuls, then removed his eyepatch and poured the spring water onto his eye.

Loki looked at Odin incredulously. Because Odin's blind eye had been sacrificed to the World Tree, there shouldn't have been anything there. He remembered when they were young, Odin didn't wear an eyepatch, because in Asgard, scars weren't seen as a disgrace, so there was no need to hide them.

It was only later when young Loki was frightened by Odin's eye socket that Odin wore an eyepatch.

But this time, Loki wasn't scared by Odin's eye socket but by the multitude of tentacles that extended from it.

Loki instinctively wanted to use magic but didn't dare to move. After all, he wasn't proficient in Healing Magic and didn't know exactly what was going on, so he didn't dare act rashly.

After drinking the World Tree's spring water, the tentacles stopped writhing. Odin took a dagger from his waist and directly stabbed it into his eye socket, forcefully gouging out the tentacles.

Though these tentacles appeared small, they had a long, thorny root system, and even after being gouged out, they continued to writhe and grow. Suffice it to say, had Odin's actions been a moment slower, this thing could have pierced through his brain.

Loki gasped, shocked at the tentacles Odin held, not knowing what to say.

Odin glanced up and saw Loki's horrified expression. He grabbed the tentacles and tossed them into the fire basin, then donned his eyepatch.

"Are you alright, Father of All Gods?" Loki quickly rushed forward to check on Odin.

Odin shook his head, indicating he was fine. Loki then turned to look at the fire basin. More shocking was that these tentacles, which had undergone Odin's Divine Power attack, the cleansing of the World Tree's spring water, and had been gouged out with a dagger forged by the Dwarves, were then tossed into flames ignited by Divine Power, yet they still struggled vigorously. It seemed these tentacles had stronger vitality than Loki himself.

Loki knew well that the Aesir's constitution and Divine Power were strong. Divine Power could not only attack externally but internally as well. Most parasitic entities couldn't reside within the God Clan; even if they allowed it, it couldn't last long, as being immersed in Divine Power is harmful to them.

Back then, Venom could parasitize him only because his Divine Power wasn't strong, and he hadn't attacked it with Divine Power. If it were Thor or Odin instead, Venom wouldn't end up better than being spat out like phlegm, or possibly torn to fragments by the rampant Divine Power within them.

So, hardly any race would rashly attempt to attack the God Clan with poison or parasitism, as success is nearly impossible. That's why the God Clan is seen as the most superior species.

Yet this time, a tentacle managed to emerge from Odin's brain. Though it seemed harmless, there was some blood. How many injuries has Odin suffered in thousands of years of cosmic conquest?

"What is that?" Loki couldn't help but ask.

He wanted to get closer for a look but was slapped back by Odin. "Stay away!"

Odin raised his long spear, and a Thunder Strike hit the fire basin. The tentacle was immediately turned to ashes, ceasing its struggle.

Just as Loki wanted to check the ashes, two figures suddenly flew in from outside the hall. Odin threw another spear which pierced one of them through, followed by another Thunder Strike, reducing the other to ashes.

Loki stepped forward a couple of paces, seeing that the one pierced by Gungnir was Odin's raven, but it no longer resembled a bird. Its beak had disappeared, and countless tentacles extended from the broken ends, each covered with sharp teeth. Even when pinned by Gungnir, those tentacles still frantically lashed about, desperately trying to devour something.
