"Well, you can rest easy as far as that goes. We'll keep you updated on our interactions and discoveries in full." Lucien said.
"And I think you'll also be able to do your own experiments right in the cyberneural-hub."
"Hooo, what do you mean?" Maeelus asked, raising a delicate eyebrow.
"This is still a hypothesis that Avant and I are still working on. But the explanation will be left for later, as I said, this discussion has already taken enough time." Lucien said, standing up. "If you'll excuse me, I have to see how long we've spent here and what's changed out there, we have the annoying habit of losing in these discussions with annoying frequency."
"I believe we all agree on that. Very well, Tyama, please come with me to the main laboratory, while we walk we can decide on a specific date for the 'treaty' with your elders." Old Zhun said guiding young Drakonia.
"First I will have to guarantee the effectiveness of this method. Would I have to mate only with males of my species or would it be more 'flexible'?" She said looking subtly at Lucien who was already leaving through the doors.
"Well no, the method is essentially done by nanobots created specifically for you. Once they have integrated themselves into your bloodstream and assimilated your genetic material, you could disseminate them to both your descendants, which would be the most effective method, as well as letting others absorb the nanobots directly from their blood." Old Zhun explained calmly and directly.
"Although this does involve you injuring yourself and letting others literally drink your blood, which is not something we encourage. This method also has the flaw of not fully binding subsequent genetic material that is unrelated to yours."
Tyama thought about the idea of having these little creatures, or rather false creatures, that they had in their blood. She was both repulsed and intrigued to know what the session would be like, they didn't seem to care but would that apply to her too?
"And would there be a way to get them off me if the method didn't work or if I just didn't like the feeling?" She asked as they headed towards the lab.
With the two of them leaving, Lucien was the first to get ready to go home.
"Very well I believe we're done here, I'm curious to know how those three specimens that found me fared in that time" he said, stretching and heading towards the doors.
"That fast, we could still catch up on other matters, right Mr. Lucien?" Lauriel asked.
"I'm sorry little one, but it's been a week since they came and I haven't even said hello to them. You know I like being a good host, don't you." Lucien told the blonde woman that to him she was still a child that he, Lin, Kalina and Ulik had found in a laboratory/cult base millennia before.
"Aaahh very good, but at least keep us informed about what you find out, and come by more often. You remember that I also like to be a good hostess, but without anyone visiting I can't be." Lauriel responded, disappointed but already expecting this reaction from her mentor.
'She's only a good host to whoever she wants to be, as for everyone else...' (Ul)
''''Yeah''''
---------------------------------------------------
Movuya still had the habit of pinching himself every morning since arriving there.
First his home was lost, his father was killed in front of him, his mother and sister were almost taken from him and he himself almost died, then he fled with all his strength with what was still left of his family to a mythical place, which only those delusional people who had been missing for weeks claimed to have caught a glimpse, only to be cornered by one of the worst predators known.
Determined to win even one more second for his mother and sister, he decided to throw himself on top of the creature ready to die, only to have his determination rendered useless by the sudden death of the creature by the very shape of the sky (no second to what he had learned, for her to be killed by a targeted electrical discharge).
Being saved by a being similar to him but obviously different and that's not even considering appearance or the fact that he can use the power of the heavens (I mean electricity), but by the simple pressure that Movuya will feel emanating from that being even though he doesn't have any hostility towards him or your family.
Not only did he show mercy by letting them live, he even gave them a place to live and a guardian to keep the most dangerous beings away from their little refuge.
It had been a week since everything had happened, but Movuya still couldn't believe it even though his guardian could be seen near the entrance to the forest, always watching and guarding, never needing to eat or sleep. If he didn't move to teach Movuya and his family about various subjects, Movuya might very well believe it to be a statue.
In any case, Movuya had to start his day so he soon went downstairs (a thing that was still unbelievable to him, how could a building so large that it had more than one floor be able to stand upright?), and soon found his mother in the kitchen, for strange as it was, preparing dinner. Unlike Movuya, her mother had quickly gotten used to this strange building that was always grateful inside, with water that came out of strange metal things stuck to the walls and that made her waste come out with another stream of water.
'Could that man be some kind of god of water or storms to use lightning like that?'
He thought approaching his mother.
"Hello mom, did you sleep well today?"
He asked as he had done every morning since they arrived, finally being safe and the shock of events had finally hit them, hard. Forcing the three to face their new reality, their home was gone, their family was gone, their friends and everything they knew were gone. All thanks to a miserable maniac with a desire for power.
The anger, outrage, pain and sadness came with such force that the three of them cried themselves to sleep alone in their rooms, right after marveling at the softness of the beds. And the next day they all cried together in the living room for half a day, until their brilliant guardian appeared, he wasn't one to talk much but he showed them how several strange things in the 'house' worked, the sink, the thermostat, the bathroom, the shower , the garbage dispenser etc.
On the third day after they had settled in the place for a while, they finally realized how hungry they were and also realized that it had been almost 4 days since they had eaten anything but they were only now feeling hungry, which left them understandably astonished. As if preventing what had happened, his brilliant guardian entered shortly afterwards with fruits, vegetables and meat, they didn't know what meat was or where he had gotten them from but they didn't care before devouring them practically raw, later he began to teach them several things, where they were, who he was and most importantly who his master, the man who had saved them, was.
On the fourth day, the three of them preferred to stay together to absorb what I-volion had told them.
About this place they were in not being normal, something everyone already knew, but mainly who and what their master, the being who had saved them, was. He is basically a God in mortal form.
They already expected this but having confirmation of something like this was still difficult to accept, which made them question why he had helped them or why he hadn't helped them before their home was destroyed.
When Movuya was about to do something foolish out of anger and reception, I-volion stepped forward and explained that even though his master is a God, he does not directly order his designs, as this would affect people's ability to evolve for themselves and always If they had a problem, they turned to him to solve it, which is why he gave challenges to those who wanted something from him, being the first to find him even though they were not aware of his existence.
Movuya could not understand why this was so, but his mother seemed to understand and assured him that it was inevitable that it would happen. As much as he didn't like the idea and still felt recent, he still remembered that the only reason he, his mother and sister were still alive was because of him, and it was also because of him that they had a safe place to stay.
All he could do was accept it and use this place to strengthen himself and get his home back, something I-volion assured him his master would help them achieve.
