-Mochi Girl & Man Power-
Izuku awoke, once more in the pitch black, and bright white void. He was laying down, on top of the line that separated the two halves of the void, he slowly sat up, feeling the strain of his aching muscles as he did so, a reminder of the grueling training he had been up to.
However unlike last time he arrived in the void, the lights weren't there, they were gone.
"I'm here again..?" Izuku got out as he stood up. He had been having dreams like this a lot lately, waking up in this place, called the void since he didn't have an official name for it. And wait until he woke up, nothing ever happened here, it was a place of peace. Sometimes he'd hear talking voices but that was rare.
He looked around, 'If this place was only one color I'd easily get lost.' He thought to himself. He'd tried venturing towards one side of the void multiple times before and would often get lost, he'd find his way back when he found the split between the two colors or he'd wake up and the next time that he arrived he would be at the split again.
The place was dead silent for what felt like hours though eventually he heard whispers, the two voices from the first time he was in the void, very quietly growing louder and louder until he distinctly heard what both were saying.

'Intelligence…., Strength….., Agility…., Speed…., and Emotion are the powers that you hold…..
While blocked from you due to your lack of strength and weak body initially have now grown in force due to your nature, your natural want to be a hero.
As a result these powers can no longer be contained in this void, our domain, and are coming out full force, allowing you much more strength that you had before…...
We shall see just how strong you become, or perhaps you'll die before the day comes when you are to become a true hero, only time will tell…..Izuku!
"Ah!" Izuku jolted out of his sleep.
His room was dark besides the small rays that were intruding through the curtains, no noise was made besides his gasps for air.
"Another…..weird dream…." Izuku said to himself between gasps for air, he didn't know why but whenever he heard those voices in his dreams he would always lose his breath.
Getting out of his All Might themed bed and getting ready for the day's training was what Izuku decided to do next. It was Saturday so, thankfully, he didn't have to go to school, since that was how his school worked, so he could spend the whole day training or hanging out with Yaoyorozu
It had been about 3 months since Izuku and Yaoyorozu had started cleaning the beach, meaning it was a hot July day. Both had started to gain a fair amount of muscle. However, Izuku was gaining at an exponential rate. The reason for this was unknown to Izuku, maybe it had something to do with his quirk? 'The strength aspect of Earth, perhaps it's accelerating my muscle growth?'
He didn't exactly know, he just knew that this growth was irregular, Yaoyorozu and All Might, or as they now referred to him as Toshinori, even asked him if he was using steroids. Which he quickly shut down with a blush.
Speaking of Yaoyorozu, they two were now around the same height, Izuku gaining an inch in height since they started training. And the both of them had also grown closer over the 3 months, becoming best friends. They exchanged numbers, an event which caused Izuku's brain to almost shut down, and would talk regularly about what they were going to do for training the next day, how school was going, and the like. They decided today that before they go to the beach that they were gonna get some new weights for their training, since their current ones were a bit light now for the both of them.
So Izuku switched into a pair of black pants and, obviously, an All Might shirt. He grabbed his wallet and house keys, along with his phone. And left a note for his worthy telling her he'd be shopping, after he'd gotten some breakfast.
And eventually he met up with Yaoyorozu at a nearby mall that they had been frequenting on their hang out trips. They drifted into a comfortable silence as they made their way towards the store they needed.
"So Midoriya-san, was there anything else you wanted to get, besides the weights that we want to get?" Momo asked the boy.
Izuku put a finger on his chin as he thought about it, "Ah well yeah, I was gonna get a couple of shirts since my old ones aren't fitting me that well." Izuku responded. He had grown an inch over the course of the 3 months and was now matching Momo in height, in combination with his new muscles his shirts were very tight.
"Ah, well that is a good idea…" Momo said as she glanced over all of Izuku. "Well let's do that first, then!" She said.
"Y-Yaoyorozu-san, are you sure? I mean, wouldn't it be better to get the weights we need first? Since we both need them it'd make more sense to go do that first, instead of just going to look at some clothes because I want some new shirts."
"Nonsense Midoriya-san, in all honesty, I don't get to do shopping that much, so I'm just a little excited, and I really like shopping for clothes…" Yaoyorozu got sheepish at the end, and Izuku found it adorable.
Izuku sighed and agreed to do a little clothes shopping for just a bit.
Finally they arrived at the store and Izuku began looking through what they had, Yaoyorozu would occasionally give him some recommendations to wear. He got different outfits each highlighting a different colors although his favorites were the red and green ones. The red one had a red hoodie, blacks shorts, and a grey shirt with a yellow highlight around the neck opening. The green one was a white hoodie with black going across it making the UA logo, a green shirt and a pair of black pants.
"Hey Yaoyorozu, why not look for something for yourself? See if there's anything that you might like." He said as he put his normal clothes back on. After a second of consideration Yaoyorozu nodded and went to the women's section of the store.
Giving Izuku time to worry about NOT freaking out. 'SHOPPING WITH A GIRL IS AMAZING!'
While looking through the women's section, mainly going through blouses and jackets that she thought looked nice, Yaoyorozu heard someone else in the same section that seemed to be having trouble.
She went towards the noise and saw many floating items around the person, who she now identified as a girl, from earlier. "Excuse me, but do you need help?" Yaoyorozu asked the person.
"Eek!" The shorter girl turned around to meet Yaoyorozu. "No, I'm fine!" She said, waving her hands around in front of her face, that clearly by the blush showed she was embarrassed. Yaoyorozu could tell, by the fact that many things behind the girl were floating and that she looked embarrassed , that everything was not fine.
"Are you sure?" Yaoyorozu cocked an eyebrow at the girl, trying to convince her.
"Yup!" The girl said nervously before she put her hands together, dropping all of the floating things on the floor, 'Some sort of gravity quirk? I'm sure Midoriya-kun would be ecstatic about this.' However as a result, she made a mess of the store.
"Do you need help with that?" Yaoyorozu asked with a very bright smile.
"I- umm yes….." The girl begrudgingly responded as he head dropped. They started working on picking up all of the clothes and the girl thanked Yaoyorozu for helping her with the mess she made, Yaoyorozu responded with a simple smile and a 'your welcome 'and they continued cleaning.
The two girls finished cleaning up as Izuku walked over to tell Yaoyorozu that he got everything he needed. And then he noticed the shorter girl behind Yaoyorozu, who was trying to hide from the new person, she had already made a fool of herself once today!
"Oh, who's this?" Izuku asked Yaoyorozu, she stepped out of the way and motioned to the girl with her hands. "This is….." Her presentation fell flat and paused as she didn't know the girl's name.
"Ah, I'm Ochako Uraraka!" The girl said hastily with a blush, she didn't know either of these people but they both seemed super nice, at least she knew Yaoyorozu was nice, but she didn't know this other person. But the smiles they were throwing her way made her feel really at ease with them! But still she was nervous so she was talking fast as a result.
"Oh, I see." Izuku said as he examined the girl. She had very pink cheeks that had a permanent blush, very round eyes, and hair that seemed to defy gravity. Also she had these pads on her fingers. From Izuku's judgement she was either his or Momo's age or a bit younger.
"Well Uraraka-san, it's nice to meet you, my name is Momo Yaoyorozu and this is Izuku Midoriya" She gestured to Izuku with her hands when she said his name, "It's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet your both too!" Uraraka said bubbly, "Umm I have a question."
"Yeah, what is it Uraraka-san?" Izuku asked with a head tilt that caused a bump in Yaoyoroz's chest, 'He doesn't even know what he's doing, he's dangerous..' She thought.
"Well you two seem really muscly, so I was wondering, are you guys hero students?" The other two made eye contact for a second, Izuku pointed a finger at himself and Yaoyorozu nodded, "Oh ok, umm no Uraraka-san we're not hero students, we're actually just training to go to a hero school."
"Oh, well I'm sorry about that, you two seem like you're already in high school." She rubbed the back of her head as she said that.
"Well I get Yaoyorozu-san because she looks really mature, but me?" Izuku pointed to himself.
"Well yeah, you're tall and got some muscle, the only thing that throws it off is your face, you got a baby face!" Uraraka said happily, Yaoyorozu snorted because it was so, too, accurate, while Izuku sweatdropped.
"Oh I see…"
"Ah I'm sorry Midoriya-kun! It's not a bad thing! Just an observation! Don't worry about it, it's not bad I promise!" Uraraka said quickly, trying to recover Izuku's down mood.
"You promise?"
"Mhm!" She nodded.
"Alright, then!" Izuku smiled, Uraraka now understood what Yaoyorozu felt, the smile was a weapon. Weaponized cuteness, "So Uraraka-san, what about you? Are you going to a hero school?" Izuku said, oblivious to the other two's thoughts.
"Oh um, well yeah, it's just a dream that everyone has, but I wanna give it a shot, you know?" Both of the other two nodded at that. "Well yeah, it's been my dream since I was a kid." "I believe it will make full use of my quirk, helping others is a nice thing to do also." Izuku and Yaoyorozu responded with.
Uraraka nodded in understanding, both answers made sense, after all every kid wanted to be a hero and quirk laws were kind of strict. "So what hero school are you two aimin' for?" She asked.
"Oh!" Izuku and Yaoyorozu shared a glance and then in unison said, "UA high!"
Uraraka smiled and chuckled a bit, "Ya guys got that practiced or something?"
"Nope, but what about you Uraraka-san? Are you aiming for UA too?"
"Ah, I'm going to try to yeah…." Ochako responded looking down and grabbing a tight hold on her shirt. It was intimidating even talking about the school that had a 0.02% pass rate.
"Ah, well me and Midoriya-san are training currently in preparation for the exam, we were just shopping for some better weights, by chance would you want to train with us." Yaoyorozu came to the conclusion that Uraraka was very nervous and had no idea what she was doing by the way she saw her fiddling around when she came over, so she thought it would help to hang out with some people. The proper mindset of a future hero.
"R-Really?!" Uraraka responded by looking at Yaoyorozu with teary eyes, to which the rich girl responded with a kind smile. She then glanced over to Izuku to see how he responded. Yaoyorozu also followed Uraraka's example and looked towards Izuku, then she decided to make puppy eyes, 'A dangerous weapon from what I've heard online, I just hope I'm doing it right'
It was all over to the broccoli haired boy, while Yaoyorozu could've done it better, it looked even cuter when it wasn't done right. And Uraraka seemed like she was in need of some friends too. "Y-yeah, it's all good, s-so don't worry about it…" Izuku responded feeling trapped in a corner.
"Thank you guys!" Uraraka yelled as she grabbed a hold of the two of them and wrapped them in a hug, tears rolling down her face.
'She really did need a friend' Both Izuku and Yaoyorozu thought.
She was acting very differently than usual. This is due to her moving into an apartment near UA so she could walk to the entrance exam and train near the school. Opposed to her more usual bubbly personality.
The two didn't know that, but with enough time they would.
The group went to pay for their stuff, however Yaoyorozu stepped up and paid for all of it. Uraraka was shocked by the act and Izuku well…..he had gotten used to it. Whenever he and Yaoyorozu would do stuff after training like get food she would always pay. He would insist on paying at times but she would immediately shut it down.
The girl did not take no for an answer.
Perhaps she just really liked shopping also.
They went to a ramen shop and ate to their delight, they started making small talk a little after they all finished their meals.
"So Uraraka-san what's your quirk?" Izuku asked as he hadn't seen her doing anything out of the ordinary and she didn't have any physical differences besides the pads on her fingers, which mostly likely had something to do with her quirk. She also hadn't fully grasped something with her hands with confused Izuku, instead grabbing it like one would do a tea cup, leaving the pinkie off.
"Oh um, well…. I guess it's better to just show you." Uraraka said as she placed all 5 of her fingers on a fork and soon after it began to float.
"Ahhhhh that's so cool Uraraka-san!" Izuku said "Considering that it's an emitter quirk means that there's no limits, well of course there are some but you can train to go past them! It would be so useful in both rescue and crime fighting, debris would be no problem for you! Though you would have to be careful for structural support, I'm sure we'll learn that in the hero course! And it's even better for combat, if it works on living organisms and assuming it puts them in a zero gravity like state, then all you would have to do is touch them once and then you would win since they most likely wouldn't be used to the change in gravity!" Izuku rambled on, both of the girls staring at it, Yaoyorozu had a small smile on her face while Uraraka was wide-eyed. "So what are the drawbacks?" Izuku asked the pink cheeked girl.
"Umm, how did you know there were drawbacks?" she raised an eye.
"Well it's obviously an emitter quirk, and all emitter quirks have some sort of drawback." Yaoyorozu stated making her seem very smart. Well she was, now she was just showing it off. "It's basically the law of equivalent exchange, you get a superpower but have a drawback with it."
"Oh, that makes sense….well I get nauseous if I lift too much or lift myself." Uraraka explained the drawbacks of using her quirk too much, a little embarrassed, since it was embarrassing. She usually ended up throwing up because of her drawback.
"Well, have you tried expanding your limit? I mean with enough training you should be able to expand it and lower the drawbacks." Izuku asked and stated the two sentences.
"Ah, well, yeah I've been trying but I haven't found a good place to help me with that, since there isn't a lot of places where you can find a lot of stuff to lift that lets you train your quirk, and I'm not very fit so I need to focus on that too…" Uraraka said in a rather sad tone.
"Well..here then." Yaoyorozu said as she made a piece of paper and a pen with her quirk and wrote down both her and Izuku's phone numbers and handed it to the girl.
'What the?!' Izuku was not ready for this, he could barely handle himself right now and he only talked when he went into nerd mode so having another girl get his phone number was mind boggling to him. He barely could handle Yaoyorozu, he couldn't handle a second one!
"Me and Midoriya-san train at Dagobah every morning except Sundays, we did say you could train with us, and now if you ever are late or can't come you can just call or text us, alright?" Yaoyorozu asked the smaller girl.
"O-ok, got it!" Ochako said, she finally had some friends, finally some people that knew the area! And they were super nice and also training to get into UA! Just what was her luck!
The trio then spent the rest of the day going around and talking, they had found out that Uraraka had just recently moved to Musutafu, much like Yaoyorozu had done three months prior. And so they arranged to have a sleepover at Yaoyorozu's place in two months.
This was due to Izuku saying that he needed to train really hard to gain muscle mass and if he did he could get 'it' in about a month and a half to two months. Uraraka had no idea what 'it' was but decided not to question it.
-Time Skip: 2 Months-
And so for the next two months they trained hard, Izuku's muscle growth continued at it's strange rate and he completely filled his shirts with muscle now. Which was embarrassing when he would go out in public, resulting in his usually now wearing hoodies.
They had cleared much of the beach, now only 2 or 3 major piles were there that could be removed in a matter of days. And they'd all come along nicely with their quirks.
One day a skeleton man showed up at the beach and started talking to Yaoyorozu and Izuku.
"Uhh guys, who's that?" Ochako asked, tilting her head at the man. She got two shocked looks from her friends. As if they got so excited about the man that they forgot about her. Which was a bad thing to do, they both knew that, but it had been a while since All Might had come to inspect their progress, also it was ALL MIGHT! Could you blame them? Yes, yes you could.
"Ah, Young Midoriya, Young Yaoyorozu, who is this?" All Might asked his successor, also tilting his head at the girl.
Izuku took that as his cue to speak "Ah, Uraraka-san this is Yagi-sensei, Yagi-sensei this is Uraraka-san." Izuku said gesturing to each other. "She's been training with us for about two months." Izuku said, looking at Toshinori. "He is our trainer." Izuku said, looking at Uraraka.
Toshinori then grabbed Izuku and pulled him away leaving the girls to themselves.
"Ok kid, you know Momo wanted to see the passing of the torch." He said darkly
"Yes, I know….?"
"Well now there's another person, you've already let one person know about One For All, this is your call so I just want you to think if you can trust her with this secret or not." Toshinori said to the soon to be ninth user of One For All.
Izuku had been thinking about this a lot lately. He wanted to tell Uraraka but he didn't even tell Yaoyorozu, All Might's mishap was the only reason that she found out. He wasn't even sure if he could. What if she hated him and Yaoyorozu because they didn't tell her! Izuku quickly shook the thought out of his head, he couldn't think of Ochako in a negative light at all. She seemed so bubbly and happy all the time, kind of a one eight from when they first met, nervous and shy.
Izuku stiffened as he found new courage and determination in him " I can trust her All Mi-." Izuku was cut off by a nearby corner bakery store bursting into flames. All of their attention shifted to the building. Izuku stared at it intensely, the speed at which the flames formed and their color weren't natural, they were yellow borderline white 'Those aren't normal flames, too big too strong, it has to be someone's quirk'
'That doesn't seem like a normal explosion, either bomb or villain, I have time in my buff form, I can manage, I just have to get out of here!'
The pro hero and the cinnamon roll shared a look and nodded to each other before All Might left to find a place to transform.
"Where's Mr. Yagi going?" Uraraka asked.
"He's just going to see if he can find a payphone to call the police or any nearby hero agency." Izuku, somehow expertly, lied, while not looking at them and instead the bakery that was on fire. Izuku looked at both Yaoyorozu and Uraraka, "We should go see if we can help."
"B-But Midoriya-san, we aren't pro heroes, we would be vigilantes if we were to do that." Yaoyorozu said, while she wanted to help, the laws were strict and she didn't want to ruin her recommendation slot because of an incident where she did the right thing but got punished for it.
"That is if we fight villains, if we just help people that might be in the fire then we'll be in the clear!" Izuku said with determination, "Now are you with me or not?"
Both of the girls took hesitant nods before they ran towards the corner store, there were people watching on, some with blood coming from their foreheads and others passed out.
'Think think think..CREATION!' Izuku to Yaoyorozu, "Make some gauze, take care of the injured!" He looked back towards the building, "And Uraraka if anyone comes out who might have trouble moving, use Zero Gravity to help them!"
Both thought about it, would it be illegal, they would be using their quirks right? That would be vigilantism, right?
"As long as you don't use your quirks on any villains you'll be fine, it'll be considered self defence and assistance, can't get arrested for that!" Izuku yelled, both nodded and they got to work,
They helped three people, two needed help exiting the building and they all needed gauze to be placed.
A while after the third person came out of the building a man in a black leather jacket came out, under a red shirt. He had short black hair and deep red eyes, black fingerless gloves and matching black pants and shoes.
"Aw man, ya kids ruining my fun!" He said, the man had chains that were on fire clenched in his hands, 'The cause of the fire, this guys dangerous, probably doesn't have pyrokinesis, that's why he's using chains.' Izuku disputed.
"NOW GET OUTTA HERE!" Izuku was knocked out of his muttering as he saw a chain whipping around to hit him on his left and the scream of the fire man.
He closed his eyes and waited for the pain as a reflex
'It's just a leap of faith kid' It was the woman's voice, from his dreams, 'So just take the jump already, got it?' The woman sounded both annoyed and encouraging, but Izuku remembered the words.
'A leap of faith' after all, they were ingrained into him now, they were a part of his vision of a hero. The vision of a hero that he wanted to be.
A leap of faith..
Izuku's eyes shot open and he raised his left arm to meet the chain.
"Midoriya!" He heard both of his friend's screams.
The chain wrapped around his arm, he felt a sting, but that was all. There was no burning. 'I'm immune to the elements? That wasn't how it was before! Was it part of my quirk evolution? Perhaps, questions for later.' Izuku looked back on the man and the man's face showed he was scared, 'Not used to someone being immune to his powers, most likely scared of pain, I can't fight him, all I can do is hold him here until-
"HAVE NO FEAR, FOR I AM HERE!"
He heard the iconic catchphrase, but kept his eyes on the villain in front of him, the man went wide eyed and tried to run down the street but Izuku pulled the chain that the man was still holding onto and the man fell to the ground.
Just in time for All Might to arrive, Izuku let go of the chain and the pro wrapped the man in it, immobilizing him. Then proceeded to enter the burning building and save anyone who hadn't come out as of yet.
All in all, the entire thing took half an hour, since the bakery was several floors and he had to be careful for structural support, even longer than that with all the reporters on the scene trying to get an interview with the number one hero.
Izuku got scolded by Yayorozu and Uraraka for doing something reckless, something he'd most likely hear from his mother when he got home, 'T-that's...not going to be good…' He thought back to the sludge incident and how his mother reacted then.
Eventually All Might jumped away, with the same smile on his face, but now Izuku could tell that it was strained, and that made him nervous.
'He's out of time!' The boy took off running in the direction that Izuku went, his two friends following him after a second.
"Midoriya-kun! We know All Might is your favorite hero, but this is a little too much!" He heard Uraraka yell out, she didn't understand, which was fine, it was his own fault for not telling her.
Eventually he saw the flying form of All Might start to fall down. Izuku followed and he found the man in an alley. "All Might!" He ran to his mentor, "A-Are you ok?" The man was hunched over, coughing blood into his hand.
Uraraka and Yaoyorozu arrived in the alley, Yaoyorozu ran to make sure the hero was ok while Uraraka stared dumbfounded at the sight, what was wrong with All Might?
'I can't drop my muscle form now, not while someone is here' All Might thought as he coughed up blood, trying his damndest to stay in his muscle form.
Izuku was wondering why he wasn't just dropping it, he was hurting his time as a hero by doing this, he knew that right! He had to know that, then why- 'Crap, Uraraka is here.' Izuku turned to her and looked back to All Might.
"Uraraka-san, can you keep a secret?!" Izuku asked with haste, the girl nodded dumbly as she still had no idea what was happening, "All Might, drop it, don't waste your time." Izuku said and the symbol of peace nodded.
And in a gust of smoke stood the skeleton, Toshinori Yagi. The same man she had been introduced to just half an hour prior.
Yaoyorozu made some napkins for Toshinori to use and the man took them as he coughed up blood.
Uraraka had no idea what was going on, one second All Might looked like he was going to cough up a lung then another he's Mr Yagi! It didn't make sense.
Izuku left Toshinori with Yaoyorozu, after making sure that the man would be alright, and walked to Uraraka, she looked incredibly confused, 'T-This is my fault…' He thought. "Hey, we-we have to talk…" He said without his usual happiness
She nodded slowly, switching her gaze to him and then the duo. "Y-Yeah…"
Izuku grabbed her hand, something that flustered the girl and walked her out of the alley, finding a nearby bench to sit at. He let go and gestured for her to sit down.
They both awkwardly sat down before Izuku took a deep breath, "So… what do you want to know?" He asked with a dry chuckle. 'I wish this happened at a better time…'
Honestly, she didn't know where to start, was that actually All Might? Why did he look like that? How do you know All Might? What was with the smoke? Why was he coughing up blood? Was he going to be ok? And even more clouded her mind. She decided to start with the first one, "Was that actually All Might?" she asked slowly, to which Izuku nodded.
"BUT, how do you do All Might!" Izuku chuckled a bit, "Well, I met All Might five months ago, after a criminal incident. He thought that I could be a hero and wanted to help me train.."
"What about Yaoyorozu-chan?" Uraraka asked next.
"Well….she kind of found out by accident…." Izuku said, a little embarrassed.
Uraraka let out a little laugh, which made Izuku a little downcast, "You guys are really bad at keeping this secret, huh?"
"M-Maybe, so" He said embarrassed, "so… don't tell anyone, please?" Izuku put his hands together in a praying pose which Uraraka found funny.
"I promise, I won't tell a soul!" Uraraka said enthusiastically, of course she wanted to know more, but that would have to wait, the number one hero was coughing up a lung in the alley nearby after all.
Izuku let out a breath, he knew he could trust Uraraka but her saying it made him feel a lot better about it, "Thanks Uraraka-san."
"No problem Midoriya-kun, and thank you for trusting me with this, even if it was just because All Might needed it, and you're going to have to explain that to me later too." Uraraka said, trying to fake being angry by puffing up her cheeks, but it came off as cute and she ended up looking like a certain Smash Bros character.
"I will promise!" Izuku put his hands up in a surrendering kind of way and the two laughed it off after a second.
They checked up on All Might, the man seemed a lot better than before, which was a good thing for them, couldn't have the number one hero kicking the bucket after all.
Though he did seem really tired, "All Might, come over here there's a bunch for you to come sit on." The number one hero nodded and made his way over, Izuku supporting him, "Thank you my boy."
Izuku flushed at the statement, 'My boy…' The words made him happy, after all he didn't know all that much about his father. So hearing the words from someone he considered a father figure was… nice. "You're welcome All- Toshinori-sensei."
He set Toshinori down on the bench and the man sighed, he found relief in being able to sit down and rest.
"Thank you my boy, you too Young Yaoyorozu, and also for agreeing to keep my secret, Young Uraraka, I just wish you had found out on better circumstances.." He said.
Izuku nodded and so did the other two, they were glad that they were able to help the number one hero, and he was thanking them! A bunch of kids! "So, how are you feeling?"
The pro looked up and down the street, no one was on it, probably due to its close proximity to the junkyard Dagobah that they were still working on cleaning, they were almost done, but there were still a couple of big piles. The pro didn't see anyone on the street and he buffed up for a second, "I'M FEELING ALL MIGHT!" He laughed before he deflated, coughing into his napkin.
Uraraka stopped as she saw All Might again, he looked a lot cooler in person! She was almost going to pass out again if Izuku didn't shock her with his quirk.
Over the past five months Izuku had gained a lot more control over the new found strength in his quirk and could gauge it to different amounts of power to suit his needs. If he needed to charge his phone he could fully. If he needed to shock someone to stop them from sleeping he could do it.
So he was able to keep Uraraka from passing out by giving her a small shock, nothing near a taser because he didn't want to hurt her. But the girl just kept on gawking at All Might, switching from excited to almost passing out to things Izuku didn't know.
"Uraraka-san are you okay?!" Izuku asked, concerned about her well being. As Yaoyorozu did not react in a similar way. Kind of the opposite way if he was being honest. She just stood there wide eyed. And Uraraka was switching between many emotions.
"You just dropped a major bomb on my head. And now the nail got hammered inta place, and so I'm just kinda freaking out that you know the number one hero! How can you expect me not to freak out,'' Uraraka said to Izuku. Getting very close to his face causing him to blush from the closeness.
Yaoyorozu got a pain in her chest at the sight, but she didn't talk about it, it may have just been emotions getting the better of her since her and Izuku's mentor was in so much pain.
"Ah I'm sorry….I should've known that it can be overwhelming," Izuku said, scooting back from the girl and looking down.
"No no no, I'm glad you trust me enough to tell me this." Ochako said with a bright smile that made Izuku make a very strange face. 'Too bright'
"Yes, I am glad that Young Midoriya has people that he can trust, but please just try and keep it between you three at least until you make it into UA." All Might said to the trio. Thankfully he wasn't coughing up blood anymore, but his one lung felt like it was being stabbed.
"What makes you so sure we'll get in?" Ochako asked. While she knew that Yaoyorozu was getting in through recommendation, her quirk was below average combat wise. And she knew why All Might thought Izuku would get in.
She had seen Izuku practice his quirk over the two months they spent training and it was VERY powerful. And Izuku being the smart kid he was, had multiple ways to combine attacks and even could combine the different elements he could use. He also had inventive ways to use the elements on their own.
Of course he didn't use his quirk much to that extent, just small control training since he had to fine tune that, he couldn't risk letting out something too big on accident. Even when moving around the garbage he wouldn't use his quirk as he needed to build up muscle mass.
"You're making it sound like you're not confident you'll get in Young Uraraka!" All Might said only receiving an Uraraka looking away from her friends and All Might. All Might opened his mouth to speak however…
"Of course you'll get in! Over the two months you've been constantly decreasing the drawbacks of your quirk, and you've only been getting stronger! And we still have five more months, and with how hard you work I can tell you'll definitely be able to get into UA. You'll probably get one of the top spots!" Izuku yelled at her with serious determination.
The girl had never seen Izuku talk like this. She only heard his nerdy rambles and nervous stutters, and happy thoughts, never this. But he talked so clearly and with such determination, like he did just a couple of minutes ago when they went to the fire.. It made her feel really happy. No one besides her parents had reassured her like this, so she started to cry.
"Uraraka-san!" both Izuku and Yaoyorozu crowded around their friend. "Are you okay?" Yaoyorozu asked in a soft voice. "Is there anything we can do to help?" Izuku asked with a worried face as he looked at his shorter friend.
"No, no, I'm fine, better than fine. I'm really really happy, that's all!" She said as she cleared the tears away from her face. "Alright, I'll definitely make it into UA, I promise!" she said in a happy tone and stared back at the two, her hands behind her back, her signature bubbly smile on her face.
"Friendship such a beautiful thi-" All Might was cut off as he started coughing more blood.
This worried the entire trio as they rushed to All Might's side. He was clutching his chest, around where his stomach SHOULD be, they decided to head to the beach since it was a less public place and they'd have more privacy. The pro coughing the entire way there.
They arrived at the beach and found some benches there also. Izuku helped All MIght over to it and the man sat down again. Receiving new napkins from Yaoyorozu to use. Uraraka looked over worriedly but she was reassured by her friends and Toshinori.
"Young Midoriya…." All Might said looking up to his successor.
"Yes, All Might!" Izuku said very very seriously.
"It's time *cough* for you to take One For All!" All Might said to the young boy.
"One For All? Take?" Uraraka asked. "We'll tell you later Uraraka-san, but just know, this is very important." Yaoyorozu said downcast, 'To think that he has to give it up already.'
"But, All Might, If you keep it for now, you can still do hero work!" Izuku tried to protest.
"My limit is decreasing Young Midoriya, I fear that within a year's time, I won't even be able to enter my buff form. I believe it is better for me to start training you as soon as possible! And you've come a great way, with your surprising rate of growth because of your quirk, while you haven't finished the beach, you've done excellent in only half of the time, you have far exceeded my expectations." All Might stood up to Izuku's protests, looking at the boy with sheer determination cracking a small smirk on his face. "So Young Midoriya, are you gonna take One For All, or not?!" He said as he buffed up, no matter the pain he'd look strong in front of his successor.
Izuku was looking down at the ground, tears coming from the corners of his eyes, blood coming from his hands from how hard he was clenching them in sadness and anger. Both Yaoyorozu and Uraraka wanted to reach out to Izuku and tell him that everything was gonna be ok, but as soon as they reached out Izuku's head jolted up and his eyes met All Might's.
"If you think I'm ready All Might, then I'll take it!" Izuku said very emotionally with a tear filled face, he wasn't letting the tears fall though.
"I like your style Young Midoriya!" All Might said as he plucked a piece of hair off of signature gravity defying V that sat atop his head. "You have chosen to inherit One For All, with this you will become the next Symbol of Peace, you will be a beacon of hope for all, light in the darkness, a dragon emperor amongst demon folk!"
They had no idea what that last part was but it seemed strangely fitting for All Might to say.
"Do you accept this power, and do you promise to eradicate all evil with it?!" All Might said in a very heroic voice that matched his buff form. The man doing his best to stay in his buff form and not cough up blood.
"I do All Might!" Izuku said he wasn't letting his tears fall, but they really wanted to.
'Whatever this is about, it must really be taking a toll on Midoriya-kun.'
'To have your idol give him strength to you, and you knowing that it'll end his career, it must be heart crushing.'
Izuku didn't cry, he was going to keep his head up. He was going to smile just like All Might.
"Your resolve is like an iron wood tree my boy, it's one of my favorite things about you, and remember, you have earned this!" All Might said, and it made Izuku's tears spill through.
"Ok, thank you All Might, even though I had a lot of help.." He said that last part to himself.
"Now."
Izuku was ready, he would do his best with his and All Might's quirk! He would live up to the expectations that the pro had for him! He wouldn't let All Might down!
